We Really Like Jumpcloud

  • May 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud supports and integrates with many platforms. We really like the ability to manage devices from the platform. We have a strong trust in the device management security. It feels like we can safely and effectively manage a fully dispersed workforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is lack of knowledge and support when attempting to integrate with certain services. Some of these services are extremely popular and required significant time investments to circumvent these limitations. I'm talking about Stripe and GitHub, so legitimately some of the most common SaaS solutions in the world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted a single bottleneck point for all of our tech an access. Jumpcloud allows us to strictly control who has keys to the castle, and which doors within the castle they can unlock. This also means when an employee resigns/is terminated we have total confidence in our ability to lock them out of our systems.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User Authentication and Users Remote Support assistance in cloud based environment.

Effortless User and Device Management Across Platforms

  • May 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
From a macOS administration perspective, the cross-platform device management is a standout feature. Being able to enforce security policies, deploy software, and manage local accounts across macOS, Windows, and Linux from one place is a huge time-saver.
Security-wise, features like MFA, conditional access policies, and SSH key management give us enterprise-grade control without the complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited Advanced macOS MDM Controls: For macOS environments, some advanced MDM capabilities—especially those around bootstrap tokens, kernel extension approvals, and declarative device management—are more limited compared to Apple Business Manager integrated solutions.
Reporting and Logging: While basic logging is available, detailed audit trails and event reporting (e.g., real-time login events, policy enforcement logs, or failed access attempts) could be more granular and customizable without requiring API workarounds..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
umpCloud is solving the challenge of centralized identity and device management across a heterogeneous environment—macOS, Windows, and Linux—all without the need for on-prem infrastructure. This is particularly valuable in a hybrid or remote workforce where traditional domain-based management like Active Directory falls short.

What do you like best about the product?
Combining a solid UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solution like Jumpcloud with an IDP (Identity Provider) creates a powerful framework for secure, efficient access control.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to Mac management, workflows can be improvised to give more flexibility for admin in targeting Mac groups or individual devices.
External directory service integration are not fully available.
Automatic Application patching using internal app catalog maintained by Jumpcloud
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inventory of all the devices enrolled into JC, maintain visibility on the overall devices wrt compliance, software patching and OS Patching etc.
On-boarding is made easy with JC, helping us to reduce on-boarding time of a new employee.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easier user & device management, most effective way to have RBAC. can complete the onboarding & exit flows in short span
What do you dislike about the product?
It supports most of the use cases but still there are many opensource tools/browsers that are widely used in industry for which jumpcloud doesn't have documented support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud has replaced the dependency of multiple tools and complex work flows and it provides the best way to provision the access to anything in the organisation.
