Great Go between authentication software
What do you like best about the product?
We use Jumpcloud to authenticate with google and it has really filled a need that we had to able to allow our teachers to authenticate in a simpler way. SSO is definitely the way to go when you have to service so many connections on wifi and teachers have so many passwords to remember. It is nice to make their job a little easier. The installation and deployment was very easy and the tech support was great. He are very satisfied.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price could be a little better but it isn't bad
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have alot of teachers that connect to wifi everyday and we each year we have a big turnover in teachers, so we wanted a wifi authentication system that would allow our teachers to connect easy and not have to remember another password
JumpCloud has been an incredible solution to many long term problems

Compatibility:
JumpCloud works with our previously supported Operating Systems, both Windows and Mac
JumpCloud has also allowed us to expand our offering to company employees. Many users desired to use a Linux based distribution but we were unable to accommodate this with our previous MDM but with JumpCloud we've been able to officially support the release of Ubuntu to the company.
JumpCloud is able to integrate with our Inventory Management Tool, AssetSonar, and give us up to date information for all of our devices. AssetSonar has a device agent, but it is limited to Windows and Mac Devices and may not always function as expected. JumpCloud integration allows us to cover those gaps as well as make sure the information stays consistent by providing additional redundancy.
Speed:
JumpCloud is super easy to setup. As soon the agent is installed, which generally takes less than 2 minutes, the device appears in JumpCloud and information starts being reported.
Support:
JumpCloud support has been extremely helpful. They are responsive and thorough. If they don't the answer to a solution they go and find out.
Our biggest support issue with out last platform was that we didn't really receive any support. We would submit a claim and they would either respond slowly or give us limited information for our problem and then drag out getting a solution from them for months with little to no communication. JumpCloud has been nothing but helpful, even with small seemingly obvious problems.

What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of customization for Reporting. There is a very limited selection of reports that can be run and information that can be exported.
JumpCloud does not have a native method for changing account passwords nor does it store the randomly generated passwords for the JumpCloud service accounts and the user accounts that were automatically created by JumpCloud (Windows).
For us, we use JumpCloud as an MDM exclusively, but our passwords are managed externally as we are using the federated integration. This could use some improvement to allow us the ability to manage passwords locally in JumpCloud without changing a users default password which will then be sent upstream and affect the Federated account.
JumpCloud doesn't have direct integration with any security platforms that allows Admins to view the statuses of devices from the Admin console. This creates a situation of constantly having to try to export and compare limited reports between JumpCloud and our Security Platform.
Non-Standard features (Not a dislike but a possible improvement to consider):
JumpCloud doesn't possess the ability to create custom fields for devices in order to store additional information
JumpCloud doesn't have a quick method of accessing our integrated platform

Decreased Asset setup times: Installing the JumpCloud agent fully takes hardly anytime at all

What do you dislike about the product?
- The only thing that can make things complicated it the need for end user consent when remoting in. Sometimes an end user would prefer we work on their device when they are out of the office and we cannot use the remote support feature unless they are there to accept the connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of our clients primarily use Macs in the office, so we can't join them to a domain like a PC. JumpCloud solves this issue by tying in their Mac account to their company domain email.
Comprehensive Identity and Access Management
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud excels in managing a variety of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. This versatility is particularly beneficial for organizations with heterogeneous IT infrastructures, allowing centralized management through a single console.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although JumpCloud offers some remote management features, it lacks comprehensive remote tracking capabilities for lost or stolen devices. This limits administrators' ability to locate and recover devices in critical situations, which could be a concern for mobile-heavy or remote-first organizations.

Out of the box very easy to setup MDM and SSO solution
What do you like best about the product?
It helped us accelerate our road to SOC2 compliance by its deployment simplicity
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love if more third party services supported JumpCloud SSO out of the box
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We choose JumpCloud as part of our SOC2 compliance journey, of the many solutions we evaluated it seemed to be the simplest one that could provide MDM for Apple devices and at the same time we got SSO for "free" in the same solution.
