What do you like best about the product?
Zuoras strength comes in their passion and belief in a changing market. How they enable companies from technology to business process and their committment to the collective communities success is their most impactful differntiator

Continued build out of Zuora insights, and ablity to scale fast for complex enterprises

Transforming a historically on premise perpetual business to a modern subscription business
Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple and easy to use. You don't need to know accounting to understand it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can not put complex query in Data Source. You can use Reports for more complex query, but it's as easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am an integration developer. I like the reference documentation provided for API. It's easy to understand.
Powerful tool, but not necessarily "plug and play"
What do you like best about the product?
Out of the box, Zuora offers a large feature set with a lot of functionality. Based on your specific requirements, you may or may not be able to use it out of the box -- or more likely, you may need to make customizations to the software, process, or your way of doing business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The training and technical documentation are better than most software providers I've used before; however, there are too many things that are not well-explained (or even explained a lot), that can result in frustration in implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Zuora CPQ to standardize our Quoting process and sync the new billing information to Zuora. We are using Zuora to invoice customers and manage their subscriptions.

API transition to REST generates significant additional work for long time customers without a corresponding improvement in functionality. In some cases features are lacking.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been impressed by product catalog. I would call it a smart product catalog with future amendments etc. Also UI is great and corresponding API is flawless. We have been able to connect our middle tier/microservices with zuora api without a hitch.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to make email more dynamic. Such as if zuora is sending an email to user for failed payments - maybe we can insert upcoing new content that user might be interested in - thus user will quickly update the payments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Successfull payments. We are tyring to maximize our successfull payments. We are also trying to keep churn in check.

UI could be a bit more intuitive and less clunky

I kie that MRR forces you to think about growing the realtionship based on creating value as opposed to discounts

steep learning curve, reporting requires a lot of vlookups in excel to get what is sometimes needed

get your data right and understand how reports work - that will save you a lot of frustration
