The AI sound editing is pretty good, I look forward to further improvements.

Best podcast platform on the market

  • September 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is easy to use as both the host and a guest. The video and audio upload in realtime, so I don't worry about losing anything. I am a huge fan of Magic Clip when I make promotional content.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that my content didn't save when I was using a new camera, but it actually may have been an issue with my laptop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is on the cutting edge when it comes to transciption and AI generated content, such as Magic Clips.

User-friendly for independent podcasters

  • September 10, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the platform is user-friendly for those of us who are not super tech-savvy. The fact we can edit within the platform is a true game-changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe the file upload at the end could move quicker, but I really don't have a major issue with this. Plus the way Riverside moves quickly with updating and evolving their platform, I have no doubt this will be worked out soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm is helping me edit my own video podcasts. Another awesome thing about Riverside is the Facebook community page - that page is extremely helpful to read about what other podcasters are doing or what issues/questions they're having.

Podcasting it easy

  • September 10, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Super straight forward to use
Amazing transcript production
AI Magic Clip features is pretty cool
Customer service responded and fixed my issue in less than 24hrs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some more advanced editing features would be nice, e.g., the ability to do a full post-recording podcast production process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Earlier programmes required a complex post-production process to fix the audio (e.g. clapping when you made a mistake so you could see the spike on the audio file to go and fix). Now, with the transcript based editing, and automatic removal of silences, editing takes just a few min.

Inviting guest with a browser-based programme is very straightforward.

The audio and video quality is far, far better than zoom or other VC software!

Riverside has really improved my remote recordings

  • September 10, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is really the best tool for remote recordings for podcasts and radio, as you don't get that digital sound or cut out when two people speak over each other that you get with some other programs. I love that they give you different file formats and allow for video when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far there's nothing I can say I dislike about Riverside. It's been better than other programs I've tried. Sometimes guests have trouble opening the links I send, but I think this is just people's issues with technology or using really outdated browsers, not anything to do with Riverside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside makes remote recordings sound good, which can be especially helpful with guests who are not well-equipped to record themselves on the other end of a call.

Highly recommend Riverside for Remote Podcast Recording

  • September 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It works. They are constantly adding new features to improve the customer experience further and it shows. I even started editing my video podcasts in Riverside and am happy with the result.
Also, it's easy to use which is especially important since podcasting is already very time intensive!
What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot blur the background when video podcasting. I think that would be a nice to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with remote recording and you can download two tracks which is exteremely helpful if you need to make more edits. They are also adding more and more AI features constantly improving their quality.

Our solution for podcast recordings

  • September 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have loved using Riverside for our podcast video recordings. The quality and the ease of use are terrific. The quality is great. No complaints so far!
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint is that when two people are side by side, I can't always ensure that we are looking at the camera so that the end result is strong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to use Zoom but the video quality wasn't as good, and the files had to be stored locally which wasn't ideal if Internet access was an issue for any party.

Enables content creation in a hybrid world

  • September 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact Riverside records locally on your device has been a game changer for us. It allows us to record high quality content without the restrictions of bad internet connection. Something I really value when editing clips together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think people struggle with the fact we have to access Riverside.fm through Google Chrome, as we are so used to using MS Teams at the moment. For me I would love for each person to have their own link to access a studio so that the different sessions automatically categorise, but being able to identify them by name in the recordings makes this just as easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During COVID, like many people, I started creating content for our staff. Much of this content was created through MS Teams, Skype etc but we were always at the mercy of bandwidth and internet connection. Riverside.FM gave us the ability to create high quality content for our people in a time of uncertainty, allowing us to connect with them further.

Creating Live Content made Easier

  • September 06, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that if there's a delay on my end or vice versa, Riverside will automatically keep recording locally so theres no buffer on the back end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the software can be glitchy and require users to reupload their clips MULTIPLE times or just cut off recording all together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a much better solution than recording on Zoom
