Riverside Cuts Video Editing Time in Half with Auto Clips, Show Notes, and Titles

    Reviewed on Sep 04, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside makes editing videos so easy. It autogenerated clips for using as short videos. It gave me a whole section of show notes that I only had to edit a little bit. It also generated titles for the clips and videos that allow me to easily edit and share the videos. I would say Riverside cuts down editing time by more than 50% especially for someone with not editing background.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to use on a smaller screen computer because of the many components the app has. It’s hard to see. So I always need to work on a large screen. Other than that I don’t have any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside allows anyone to record and edit videos with ease. Its autogenerated content material is a great jumpstart and cuts down editing time in half. It also recommends hooks and clips that can be easily used and reduces time from recording to publishing. Great tool for beginner or anyone who doesn’t want to spend time editing or have a team of editors.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Riverside allows anyone to record and edit videos with ease. Its autogenerated content material is a great jumpstart and cuts down editing time in half. It also recommends hooks and clips that can be easily used and reduces time from recording to publishing.

Intuitive Design with Rapidly Improving AI Features

    Reviewed on Aug 31, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive design. It has great AI features and they appear to be developing and refining AI features quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was unable to recover some files that were previously archived. That means I effectively lost three interviews.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It appears to be a wraparound podcasting platform. Even on the free tier it was pretty effective but now I pay for a pro plan and we definitely get our moneys worth out of it.

All-in-One Podcast Hosting and Multiplatform Live Streaming

    Reviewed on Aug 25, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to host, edit, and publish our podcast, and then get it out to a large audience. I also appreciate that we can host live on multiple social media platforms at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few tools I think would be especially helpful for editing that aren’t currently available. Because of that, I sometimes have to download my edited podcast just to add and post custom graphics. Riverside is a strong recording platform, but there are several areas where I think the experience could be substantially improved for serious, ongoing podcast production.

The UI/UX can sometimes feel more complicated than it needs to be. Recording, editing, producing clips, managing files, and organizing episodes do not always feel like parts of one seamless production workflow. I would like a clearer project-based interface where everything associated with an episode—recordings, scripts, edits, graphics, transcripts, clips, approvals, and exports—is organized together.

Integrations are another limitation. For a production team, Riverside should feel less like an isolated recording application and more like the center of a larger production ecosystem. Deeper integrations with cloud storage, podcast hosting, YouTube, social platforms, project-management systems, creative applications, and automation tools would reduce the amount of manual work required after recording.

In terms of performance, reliability is extremely important because recordings cannot simply be recreated when something goes wrong. Uploading, processing, synchronization, rendering, and exporting need to be consistently fast and dependable. When a platform is being used for a real production schedule, even relatively small delays or technical issues can disrupt the entire workflow.

The pricing/ROI could also be stronger. Subscription pricing is easier to justify when the platform replaces several other tools. If producers still need separate applications for advanced editing, graphics, social-media production, project management, publishing, and other post-production work, the overall cost of the workflow increases quickly. I would like Riverside to provide more production capability within the subscription rather than requiring an ecosystem of additional paid services.

For support and onboarding, I would like to see a more hands-on experience for professional users. Instead of simply teaching users where features are located, onboarding could help someone design their complete production workflow—from pre-production and recording through editing, approval, publishing, promotion, and archiving.

Finally, AI/intelligence is probably the area with the greatest opportunity. AI should go beyond transcription, summaries, captions, and identifying clips. I would like an intelligent production assistant that actually understands the show, its format, branding, speakers, previous episodes, publishing requirements, and production standards. It could identify editing issues, recommend cuts, prepare multiple platform-specific clips, maintain brand consistency, generate metadata, assist with show notes, organize assets, and help move an episode through the entire production pipeline.

Overall, my biggest frustration is that Riverside has many of the pieces of a modern production environment, but it does not yet feel like a complete production house operating system. I would like to be able to start with an episode concept and move all the way through recording, post-production, approval, publishing, promotion, and archiving without constantly leaving the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Riverside Makes Recording Easy and Comfortable

    Reviewed on Aug 21, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is helpful in that. It is easy to use. It really is one of those software that does not require a lot of set up or guesswork to understand. An upside to Riverside is the ease of use. For those of us who are a little nervous, it’s nice to have this tool that you know is capable of going live or recording with comfort.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure. Presently I record my videos and I utilize the feature that helps me to edit. I think that there might be things that I want, but I haven’t explored the software beyond the basic use to see if there is anything that isn’t useful for me, so I will just say that it serves the purpose of my needs at the present moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since I started using the software, I see where there is progress being made to make it more robust and more efficient.
