Easy enough for a first-time podcaster
What do you like best about the product?
Clean and simple UI, helpful AI tools to speed up post-production
What do you dislike about the product?
The 'social snapshots' are never flattering photos so this isn't something I'll ever use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy for our podcast guests to join us in the studio so we are not dealing with many technical setup issues.
Great for international teams
What do you like best about the product?
It has an intuitive web-based platform that's easy to invite other people to. Especially when working internationally, the ability to record locally and push to the cloud has ensured that we get the best quality video regardless of connection. We haven't used any of the advanced or live functionality yet as it's out of scope, but for a simple recording platform it's been amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only request is to add background blurring natively. Not all of our attendees can be in their recording office/studio, so that would be a nice add.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We struggled using different methods to record our playback webinars and trainings. While recording for a single person was easy enough with native Windows tools, it become more difficult as we added presenters. Even worse was video quality over the tools for participants who did not have a strong internet connection, leading to a less than ideal final product.
First choice and I'm absolutely happy
What do you like best about the product?
I started my personal podcast and chose Riverside.fm bc it was recommended by a friend. The ui/ux was perfect from the beginning, since I never had to guess nor wonder, what to do. I just did. Also, it is so easy to invite guests to my recordings using the studio. And to get two different tracks for the guest and me makes it perfect for the post production, to make a perfect episode out of every recording. And not to forget the fair prices. People, this is no advertising, this is a true user's opinion. That's how software and usability should be.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to say. I just type a few words, so I can submit the form. ;)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do not have a problem, I just want to record my podcast easy peasy.
My experience with Riverside
What do you like best about the product?
It's fun and easy to use. Great platform for beginner podcasters : )
What do you dislike about the product?
I have't found anything I dislike about Riverside yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's giving me a platfrom to create more videos/podcast for my Amplify series. I also really LOVE the magic clips option!
Love this Product, Use it for all my Podcast Recording
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is the different type of content it provides, short clips, audio, video. This helps to use it as per requirement. Also integration of AI helps in getting the transcription easily
What do you dislike about the product?
Do not provide option to change the background
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very helpful tool for podcasters to quickly conduct interviews, edit and clean them
Riverside is great for virtual video podcasts
What do you like best about the product?
The video and audio quality is great, the user experience is great for guests, and I love having a Producer setting that allows me to hang in the background. Best thing is native video ensuring that our quality is always high!
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing can be a bit choppy. It's great for amateur-level audio mixing, but you may need to have a professional do some post-production for you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is great for hosting podcasts and creating video content.
I needed it, but didn’t have the right words…
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can do my podcasts and edit right inside of the application. I think it cuts down on the overall editing time to be able to have so many features in one place. The transcription, as well as the show synopsis feature make it all come together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still have a problem when editing text that the cursor jumps all the way back up into my transcript and I have to keep re-finding my place to continue editing. I would also like to be able to upload a show intro and outro that automatically gets all to the podcasts within each studio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to use multiple devices to get the job done. That can be so frustrating!
Solves a clear problem well
What do you like best about the product?
High quality video and audio from the 'other end'. Easy to use interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
When bandwidth is challenged, it gives good video and poor audio. I'd prefer it the other way round.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting a podcast with a remote guest
Incredible Product that Continues to Improve
What do you like best about the product?
As someone new to podcasting, this has made podcasting simple for me. Almost everything I need is in one place, and they've contined to add new features in recent months like editable captions and social clip creations that are perfect for promoting the podcast. The "Magic Tools" are literally magic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only very rarely will a file glitch, but tech support is always easy to access and quick to find solutions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of low quality audio when recorded through other systems like Zoom. And it provides easy to use video editing features for someone like me who isn't a professional videographer.
Riverside simplifies the entire podcast experience
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside brings podcast scheduling, recording, production, and publishing under one easy-to-use roof. The flow of information just makes sense.
With a simple and accessible tool, guests can easily join a meeting, recording begins with a click of the button, and editing is a breeze with powerful, but basic tools cutting out the unneccessary fluff of most editing softwares. Through integrations, you can easily post your podcast or export for greater flexibility. Don't even get me started on clips!

What do you dislike about the product?
Riverside puts your content creation on rails, which is great for a lean team. But more advanced editors will prefer a more complex tool. Though, Riverside allows you to export full recordings and tracks to use your preferred tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Riverside, we were using an agency, which was timely and required constant back and forth leading to long production times for podcasts. With Riverside, we can record a whole episode and have it posted in minutes.
