Free Account is Completely Useless

As a content creator searching for reliable recording solutions, I recently explored Riverside.fm in hopes of finding a tool that matched my needs. However, my experience with their free account left much to be desired.
Firstly, the lack of a free trial is a significant drawback. Many platforms in the industry offer a trial period, allowing users to test the features and gauge suitability before committing financially. Unfortunately, Riverside.fm's omission of this basic feature leaves potential users in the dark, unable to determine if the platform meets their requirements without first making a financial investment.
Moreover, the limitations of the free account render it essentially useless for anyone serious about creating quality content. With restrictions on recording time, audio quality, and storage, the free tier severely hampers the user experience. Content creation often requires flexibility and room for experimentation, which the constrained features of the free account simply do not provide.
While I understand the necessity for companies to offer premium services, it's disappointing when the free option fails to deliver even the bare minimum functionality needed for basic content creation. A Great Tool for Podcasters
What do you like best about the product?
What I've noticed about Riverside.FM is its progression. For the almost two years I've been using it, it's changed in a lot of ways that I wanted it to change. It seems like they listen to the feedback of the end-user, and craft it to be more intuitive. I love how easy it makes the editing by transcript, and having the transcript available helps me avoid trying to take notes. It helps when I have to summarize for a blog.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, there are connection issues that I don't understand on the guest's side, or sometimes my side. I admit, it could be user error, but understanding what's happening in the moment could be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate the editing feature. Editing by the transcript is incredibly easy.

What do you like best about the product?
Phenomenal tool for podcasting. I love the ease of use, and the video tutorials as welll as the prompt customer service if you have questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems that once you click on the Full Episode and Magic Clips feature that you can only use it once. I may be mistaken, however it appears that way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm has allowed me to improve the look and sound of my podcast which allows me to maintain connections with experts within my industry.
Riverside.fm is all you need. Highly recommended
What do you like best about the product?
Previously, I would use recording tools, editing tools, having to spend literally hours to produce minutes of footage. The cost/benefit ratio was all out of whack. Riverside.fm has completely turn this around. Now, we can create high quality, authentic, professional looking recordings ranging from seconds to hours in length in a breeze. The UI is very easy to navigate, and simply... IT JUST WORKS.
I'm very pleased that as a charitable organisation we've taken the plunge with Riverside.fm. It is fast becoming one of our most important tools. Integrating it into our other tools that we use has been super easy. The fact that it is browser based for computers and available on mobile makes it very easy to use and reduces barriers for participation. meaning we're using it almost weekly now.
Where we've had questions, customer support has been fast, knowledgable and useful.

So far, there hasnt been anything I dislike, but there have been a few 'niggles', particularly if you're using a Mac. I think it has mostly been to do with browser compatability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a charity that reduces suicide in veterans and emergency responder. Riverside.fm is pivotal in raising awareness and hope to those we cant reach in person.

Nothing Short of Extraordinary
What do you like best about the product?
This platform truly brings everything you need together in one place, all for a single price. Before, I had to piece together several different apps just to produce my podcast, but now the entire process is streamlined into one user-friendly studio.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the editing tools, such as the silence removal feature, can disrupt the flow of an entire episode, which is quite frustrating!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside saves me time and money. I have cut production time per episode by 70%! It's insane how I used to "Frankensteined" a half dozen apps together to make my podcast--now it's streamlined into one easy to use studio.
An intuitive easy to use recording software that does the heavy lifting for you.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that riverside has recording studios so I can generate different types of content and keep it organized. Riversides flexible features such as separating audio and video make it easy to generate content, and the magic clips feature is a bonus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Possibly a user error, but I struggled recording virtually today as we could barely hear each other in the recording studio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I haven't used many softwares, so I'm unsure but I do know that Riverside is cost effective, easy to use, and I enjoy the ease of creating content as a not so tech saavy millenial.
Riverside.FM Delivers!!!
What do you like best about the product?
It is incredibly easy to use. I am totally new at being a podcaster and as a creator of content it is critically important that I am able to easily create, share and upload my content. Plus, as a newbie, I need tech support when I need. During my very first and critically important podcast, I needed tech support. This was on a Sunday and Aaron immediately responded to my urgent request, resolved the problem for me and the rest is history. So, incredibly pleased with Riverside.FM and I highly recommend people use it. Seriously, peeps, use it!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OMG! They are solving all of my issues as a newbie to podcasting. What seemed daunting at first, is engaging and FUN!

I love how the Riverside.fm team is always available, are constantly adding new features, and never settle for mediocrity.

Excellent Quality, Customer Support, and Product
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Riverside.fm is the ease with which producers, as well as guests are able to use the site. Another great thing about Riverside is the AI social tool function.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the best parts about Riverside.fm is also one of it's downfalls - recording and uploading each participant from their own wifi. Sometimes if a participant's connection is not the best, they can be stuck uploading for long periods of time. However, the end product is well worth it, the video and audio is always the best quality it can possibly be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Magic clips/social maker is great.
