Great Platform for Every Level User!

  • October 01, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside's ease of set up and ease of use is outstanding. Their Customer Support Chat is amazing, with follow-up emails to keep the conversation fresh in mind. I love the Plug-N-Play ability of integration with my current studio set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The post-production editor needs work. There is no clear explanation of how to use the on-screen features and how they record into the final product.
I want the on-screen features to be able to be recorded, not just used in a Live Stream setting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside allows me and my guests to be in a remote location and still create great content.

Riverside Is SOLID

What do you like best about the product?
We like the AI features to get shorts, story notes, transcripts, magic audio and the editing.
What do you dislike about the product?
When processing audio AND video podcasts it can take awhile to process and upload when done on the phone. I think on computer it's quicker but we record a lot on the go as my partner and I have a hard time finding time to record otherwise. We have recorded almost 20 episodes and lost audio for part of an episode once, but Riverside Customer service got it back for us
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lost audio or slow processing, but customer service has fixed it every time

The best remote podcasting tool

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create high quality audio in a remote setting. Customer Support are with you the enire way if you have any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I've experienced was a loss of audio after a podcast was recorded, however, customer support managed to fix the issue and find the missing audio. This could have more awkward if I had to ask my guest to record again, but fortunately Riverside were able to fix this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to record high quality podcasts and expand my guest reach globally which I can achieve in a remote setting.

Exactly what we were looking For

What do you like best about the product?
I love that not only can i have my podcast episodes hosted wihtin Riverside, but I don't have to worry near as much about making sure my guets are set up to record themselves and their files in a proper way. As long as they are ready to go for the meeting, Riverside handles the rest. Beign able to ahve HQ video and audio recorded individually is so nice. It makes our lives at the How Creatives Think podcast so much eaiser. Our guests find the process so much easier to just jump into.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint about Riverside is on the editing side. I am an audio engineer and videographer, so I edit all of our episodes outside of Riverside to ensure I can use certain audio/visual tools. I have noticed that in the HQ exported version of the audio/video files. there is significant drifting. What I mean by this is that over time, the audio does not match the video anymore and words are not lining up with lips. This is a struggle to edit (not impossible) but it does make the process a little more laborous. Not a deal breaker by any means though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is no other platform out there that records the quality that Riverside does and gives you the ability to have individual audio and video source downloads. The quality of the video is not tied to how it looks during the call. In the background, the quality is always high and does not skip. Being able to have one platform that does all of this AND allows us to have our meetings and podcasts is very helpful.

The most complete podcasting site I’ve ever used.

  • September 21, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is a complete suite of tools that keeps getting better with time. While I primary use the recording studio, the site's reliability is second to none, and I've used many of the big web based recording sites for past projects. Not the cheapest on the market, but I truly feel like I get value for my money.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you value AI tools, they are still young on Riverside and are hit or miss. The auto-editing features leave quite a bit to be desired and while good for a rough edit, wouldn't make my final product. These features are green and I suspect will improve with time, but as of this review, they aren't there yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a giant step up from any recording site I've used in the past. They thought of everything, from the ability to see what audio inputs a user is using to the producer quite, it's the most fully featured.

Riverside has made transcription painless, which is a huge time savings and has never "eaten" a recording, even when a guest has connection issues, etc. Some of my higher profile guests appreciate the professional nature of the system and that helps a smaller show like mine gain traction and validity.

High Quality Remote Recordings

  • September 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside has been a great remote recording solution for The Side Hustle Show. We've been using it exclusively for the last 18 months or so, and appreciate the quality and stability of the platform. It's easy for guests to join and enables us to capture both audio and video for the show. The automated transcripts are a big help and let us actually cancel our other transcription software we were paying for.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like all remote recording platforms, sometimes you'll experience stability or connection issues. On occasion, I've forgot to hit the "record" button after losing a connection, so some sort of reminder would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I host an interview podcast called The Side Hustle Show, and Riverside makes it easy to capture audio and video with my guests remotely.

Riverside.fm: A Reliable, High-Quality Solution for Remote Podcast Recording

  • September 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside.fm makes remote podcast recording incredibly easy while delivering studio-quality audio and video. The biggest win for me is how the platform captures everything locally on each participant's device. This means even if someone has a poor internet connection, their recording is still crystal clear, with no weird lag or drop-offs. I also love how each participant's track gets recorded separately, which makes editing and post-production a breeze. Plus, the platform integrates well with editing tools, and the mobile app is a great feature for recording on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
The upload process could be faster, especially after longer recordings—it can be a bit of a wait to get those files ready for editing. The pricing is also on the higher end, which might be a hurdle for smaller or new podcasters who don’t need all the advanced features. Lastly, while the interface gets the job done, it could use a little polish to make navigating multiple recordings and managing files even smoother.

Overall, Riverside.fm has become a go-to for me when I need reliable, high-quality recordings without the stress of worrying about tech issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
a huge impact on my workflow. The main issue it tackles is the inconsistency in quality caused by unreliable internet connections. Because it records locally on each participant's device, I don’t have to worry about choppy audio or poor video due to bandwidth problems. This means I can focus on the conversation rather than technical glitches, and I always end up with crisp, high-quality files.

Another challenge it addresses is the post-production process. By providing separate audio and video tracks for each guest, editing becomes way more efficient. I can easily adjust individual levels or make tweaks without affecting the entire recording. This saves me time and allows for more control over the final product.

Additionally, the ease of use is a big win. Guests can jump right in without any tech setup headaches, which speeds up the recording process and makes the whole experience smoother. For someone in my position, that’s invaluable—it helps me focus on creating great content without worrying about the tech.

Easy to use recording

  • September 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is so simple to get started with. Plug in your devices and start it up!
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing options are not extensive. Currently, there are no transition options for scenes of fades for the music. However, that does make it very beginner friendly to not be distracted by a ton of options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was looking for an easy way to record and post a podcast while getting started. Riverside allows you to post directly to Spotify and it includes your video with the podcast.

Keep this vision of plan and live chat support!

  • September 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a user and client of Riverside, there are several aspects I truly appreciate. First, the live chat support, which has been removed by all other competitors, including Streamyard. This feature is crucial for addressing issues in real-time and offers a level of support that email alone cannot match.

Additionally, Riverside offers exceptional value for money with its pricing plans. It provides an optimal balance between cost and quality, which is hard to find elsewhere.

Another standout feature is its integration with Spotify Podcasters, which is a significant advantage for content creators looking to optimize their workflow. Riverside remains the only platform in the industry offering 4K quality, local recordings, and live chat support. This commitment to maintaining high standards sets Riverside apart from the competition, making it a preferred choice for many.

Please continue to uphold these standards, as they truly distinguish Riverside from other platforms in the sector.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downside: The audio quality should be high even with the free plan, and perhaps 4K video could be made available as a paid feature."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problems that Riverside helps me solve are immediacy and efficiency. The continuous live support is extremely valuable because it allows me to speak with someone in real-time, rather than dealing with email correspondence.

Additionally, Riverside simplifies the organization of interviews by offering a subscription service that genuinely supports workflow without charging exorbitant fees like other platforms. Unlike Streamyard, which does not provide a high level of streaming quality, Riverside’s service is both cost-effective and efficient.
