They saved a day of my life by finding my deleted file!

  • April 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the podcast capabilities and the AI editing tools. It would be nice to have transitions and other editing features so I didn’t have to import my videos into CapCut for final edits, then back to Riverside for uploading to YouTube, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing tends to lag several times while editing, very time consuming. Also, I have the pro version but it does not let me or my guests share presentations. I mean, even Zoom lets you do that. Why is that only for the business version?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The AI tools save some time, but still the video edits need human tweaking.

Riverside.FM is the Best App I've Ever Used in Any Vertical

  • April 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside.Fm technology is amazing combining core function with incredible included extras. Video and audio editing becomes fast, easy and an affordable revenue generator for freelancers, agencies or solo creators in a vertical that has always been slow, arduous and expensive. The free trial with no CC avails you of everything you need to get started and you can continue on the free plan. This enables you to bring clients onboard seamlessly. This aspect of their business model needs to be replicated by every other app, full stop. You can learn how to use their app at your own pace. Pricing is affordable and enabled me to build an entire new service offering. Their flexibility and model takes all the worry and anxiety out of the trial and initial use. Customer service is personal and outstanding. Having worked with so many startups, it's amazing to find a company that gets the entire user experience so right. I'm currently looking at an upgrade to enterprise with confidence bc their model works so well. Simply one of the best tech companies I have ever used- out of hundreds.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of a dislike for Riverside. It's been so good, I haven't looked in depth at competitors?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside takes the arduous and expensive chore of editing video and makes it super smooth and fast because it provides simple to use technology to specifically address the pain points of the entire process: large audio and video files move quickly; editing tools are powerful and simple to use; collaboration and share features are super easy to use which is a huge when working with clients; product features are focused on where the most value is created including speed to distribution; pricing means you can increase revenue and profit- maybe at the end of the day, the most important problem Riverside solves. Their business model and pricing structure even addresses my ADHD needs because the basic free service is so powerful. I also have referred Riverside to many more people because of it frictionless entry point. It's the best app I have ever used- I'm in tech, I've helped build apps and have used 100's and Riverside is the best overall and for editing.

Don't start small and grow - only consider Riverside.fm if you're already a big business.

What do you like best about the product?
The whole "record locally and upload" approach is great at making sure I have the high quality recordings I need. The AI editor does a pretty good job of getting to a starting point from which you can produce a final edit if you're an editor.
What do you dislike about the product?
They have good "entry tier" models if you're a single user - no producer/editor/other team members and you're going to record, edit and publish yourself. If you want literally anything advanced, it jumps from $29/month to $5,400/year MINIMUM with no ability to grow into it. Which means if you get started with them at a starter tear you can't actually stay with them as you grow. I'm now evaluating alternatives that will be affordable for a small team - and frankly I'm aggravated enough about the fact that I have to that I will likely not come back if/when I grow my business to the point where the $5,400+ price tag would be justified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I need to record a remote interview with broadcast quality for later publication, it does a very good job.

Easy to use and reliable product! and Amazing Support!

What do you like best about the product?
Tool is straightforward to use! The local recording with the Cloud upload makes it unique AND reliable! Support: I removed a recording I should have to...I contacted them and I got it restored in no time!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
Being cloud tool, sometimes it lags! You need to refresh the 'page'!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to record podcast with global invitees! and you can do the editing right there. Also, having the files on the cloud, it's easy to share them with other video editors

The best I've tried so far

  • March 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've I have tried a bunch of streaming/recording options and Riverside has been best by far. I've had no recording issues, the recording quality is great. It's also got the best editor, we can get the visuals and audio and cut it to length or add lower thirds right inside Riverside, we wouldn't even need to export it to Premiere but we do and it integrates so easily. Anyways, it saves a bunch of time and I've had great recordings from it.
What do you dislike about the product?
at first it was hard to find my exports, but I figured it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
makes it super easy to record remote interviews with high quality audio and video and also easy editor

Thrilled With This App!

  • March 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
RiversideFM is so intuitive to use and if there is something that doesn't make sense, they have a video that easily explains it. This is hands down the best app I've ever used for anything! The editing is extremely easy to do and integrating music, pictures, and your own uploads is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is quite literally nothing about this app that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping a podcast (and technology) novice get started in podcasting and making it look great.

great tool

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use but can do advanced editing. Customer support is fast and knowledgable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think some of the feature on the enterprise plan should be available for a smaller fee. Like email collection and sending out testimonials. When you are just an individual creator it's cost prohibitive. Also it would be great to be able to stream directly to LinkedIn live
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes so much easier to edit quickly.

A seamless experience to get started with podcasting

What do you like best about the product?
So far on the standard plan, I most like the automated editing that includes taking out gaps and sound and filler words. The audio enhancement sounds good and better than most things I have seen.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’m on the standard plan and I was under the impression that would include providing transcriptions. Unfortunately, that is not available and until you get to the next year of payment, however, I can see how this is a more labor-intensive process and I understand that it is not included in the Lower level subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that Riverside is solving for me is creating High resolution content with people from other parts of the world.

Riverside.fm has completely upgraded our content game

  • March 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We were originally using Zoom to record coaching calls and create content, but the quality just wasn’t cutting it—especially as we prepped to launch a podcast. After testing a few platforms, we chose Riverside.fm, and it's been a major upgrade.

What I like most is how complete the platform is. The AI tools, short-form content creation, branding, and multi-platform live streaming have all made our process smoother and more professional. I also love the Producer Mode—it lets me bring in my partners and handle the session without them needing to worry about any of the tech. It’s truly built for content creators.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that sometimes the editing process can be a little slow, since it’s browser-based. It’s not a dealbreaker, but if you’re doing a lot of post-production in the platform, you might feel it lag from time to time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm solved a few big problems for us right away: poor video/audio quality from Zoom, clunky workflows for recording content, and the need for multiple tools to stream, record, and repurpose content.

Now, everything lives in one place. I can record high-quality podcasts, stream coaching calls live to multiple platforms, and easily clip short-form videos for marketing—all without needing a full production team. It’s helped us create more content, faster, and with a level of professionalism that represents our brand the right way. The platform fits perfectly into our business model and makes the whole process seamless.

Riverside makes it easy to START!

  • March 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very intuitive to create new projects, set up planned recording sessions, edit videos and short clips. I haven't reached the limits of it's capabilities yet and I've recorded hours of content and edited dozens of clips. Their service was also above average for a SaaS platform. The issue was resolved quickly with good response times and collaboration. Riverside was recommended by a close friend, and I will be recommending it to other friends.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any significant issues other than that occasionally, I find that guests on my sessions have difficulty following the invite link and getting the session to open. I'm not sure why this is and we've been able to work through it easily, but it's a small inconvenience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's my primary resource to record a podcast with remote co-hosts. I use it to record all of our long-form content and to create short video clips using the AI Magic clips. As I have little to no experience editing video/audio, I rely heavily on Riverside for my editing.
