What do you like best about the product?
It has local recording fallback, auto sync for audio and video and uploads resume if interrupted
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some delay in syncing when guests join late
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made remote guest interviews viable with flaky internet and no more lost footage or choppy interviews

Riverside has changed the game for remote interviews

  • June 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is that it records directly to a persons computer and uploads maintaining full quality audio & video recording from their devices. This is where zoom (and even some other platforms) recording falls short. I love that it records individual video files that are synced and can export varied versions of multiple speakers for the "group shot" huge time saver when editing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the scheduling feature was more integrated with google calendar but it's worth a few extra copy-pastes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to post edit great looking footage from interviews with discreet audio and video channels, synced and ready to go!

Love Riverside!

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use and invite guests. My show is guest based, so having them be able to click a link and join seamlessly makes my job easier. I also really appreciate the teams openness to user feedback. Sometimes Facebook groups are annoying or just a bunch of chatter, but the Riverside Group is super helpful with problem solving and getting features implemented that will benefit all of us. Shout out Kendall for being super active and taking our feedback to heart!
What do you dislike about the product?
The "rolling out the red carpet" screen is unnecessary and redundant. I find it especially annoying after doing an edit, going to export and the pop up asking if I want to go to exports or keep editing. If I choose keep editing, that "rolling out the red carpet" screen comes on, why doesn't the pop up just close so I can go back to my edit?!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I host a podcast and I use Riverside to host it, create reels and edit my solo episodes. My editors take the raw footage of my guest episodes and edit it for me. Being able to record and edit in Riverside is super helpful especially for someone like me who did not have a video background when starting a podcast. It makes it so much easier to be able to do it all in one tool instead of having to record somewhere, download it, and upload to another tool for editing, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud native speed, elastic scaling and intelligent resource allocation
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be pricey at scale without volume discounts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Legacy on prem testing tools were slow and bottlenecked but now instant scalability has accelerated our enterprise release cycles

Ridiculously easy and great quality

  • May 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As an amateur podcaster, I was looking for a podcast studio that was easy to use and had high quality editing tools. Riverside exceeded my expectations. I've also come to appreciate the collaborative features. My podcast has a co-host and producer, and we have a different guest every episode. Riverside makes it simple to bring folks into the recording studio, capturing their audio, and sharing the assets with the producer. Although I haven't had to use support, it's clear that Riverside has a vast library of documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a little while to understand how to organize my recordings into projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside lets me record high quality audio from three different locations, and then makes it easy to go through interviews to pull out important themes and ideas.

Great platform and easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
Prior to Riverside I had files everywhere. I’d have to copy files from one app to another, and it really threw off my workflow with my podcast. After switching to Riverside, I’ve been able to store my files, do my editing, and even create clips all in one place the files are easily downloaded and then added to my podcast website I definitely recommend Riverside
What do you dislike about the product?
While I find the AI generated clips, very useful and easy to create, sometimes the audio just doesn’t sound right. It will cut out and add silence where it’s not necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s an easy to use platform, but most importantly it’s easy for the guest of my podcast to join. They don’t require any experience to be able to use it.
