High-quality podcasting made simple and professional

  • June 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Riverside.fm makes it easy to produce professional-level podcasts and video content, even as a solo creator. The local recording feature ensures crystal-clear audio and video, and the interface is intuitive and streamlined. I also appreciate the ability to invite remote guests without sacrificing quality. It saves me time and helps me create polished episodes consistently.
What do you dislike about the product?
The occasional syncing issues between video and audio can be a bit frustrating, and sometimes the post-production rendering takes longer than expected. I'd also love to see more customization options for video layouts. But overall, these are minor issues compared to the platform’s overall reliability and quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm solves the biggest headache for podcasters and video creators: getting studio-quality recordings remotely. Before Riverside, I struggled with laggy Zoom calls and poor audio. Now, I get high-res audio and video from every guest, even if their internet cuts out during the call. That means less time fixing issues in post, more time creating great content—and a better experience for my audience.

The Best

What do you like best about the product?
As a new podcaster that does my own production and editing, Riverside has made my life a breeze. If I run into any issues, customer service is readily available and very thorough. I recommend Riverside to any and everyone I know that is considering starting a podcast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing. I love it all. It is very user friendly but also giver stellar quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Editing!!!!! As the host, producer and editor, I am responsible for all parts of the creation process. Also working a full time job and managing a family, my time is limited. Riverside cuts down on the amount of time I need to spend behind the screen so I can also have a life.

What do you like best about the product?
I had never done a podcast before and found the workflow very intuitive. I did have some hiccups on some of the recordings but Riverside FM support was very responsive and helpful. I still have a lot to learn about the tool but it is giving me what I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I started trying to schedule podcasts in Riverside any was only able to schedule 3. This was confusing. Now I do the scheduling on my external calendar which works OK but I still don't understand when Riverside would not want to enable the scheduling from in app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enables me to host a podcast.

  • June 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to record high-quality (as good as your device resolution ) video and audio is so valuable. It records on separate tracks, so editing is very easy. I can jump right to the waveform where the talking starts or use automatic tools to find the start and end of clips.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could make others host so I wouldn't have to be there to start and stop recordings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote recording at full quality as well the ability to conduct remote interviews

Powerful Podcasting Made Surprisingly Simple

  • June 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside.fm just feels natural to use. It gets out of the way and lets me focus on creating. The web interface is stellar, especially when it comes to recording and editing. I love that Riverside records high-quality video asynchronously, so I’m not held hostage by internet hiccups. That alone is a game changer.

What really sets it apart is how editing works. I can edit the video simply by editing the transcript. Change a word, and it changes the cut. That’s such a smart feature and a huge time saver. I also use the MacBook desktop app, which works seamlessly.

It’s clear this platform was built by people who actually understand podcasters and the creative process. The whole experience, from layout to support, feels like it was designed with care and intention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Riverside.fm, but there are a couple of areas that could improve.

First, while customer support is generally responsive and friendly, it’s inconsistent. I often get a different support rep each time I reach out, and the guidance can vary depending on who responds. Sometimes, the answers even contradict each other, which makes it confusing to know which direction to follow.

Second, I’ve run into limitations with the Eye Contact feature—the one that corrects your gaze so it looks like you’re looking directly at the camera. The feature doesn’t work on videos recorded with a mobile device, including when I’m using my iPhone as a continuity camera through my MacBook desktop app. That limitation doesn’t make much sense to me, and I’d really like to see clarity or improvements there.

Those are relatively small things in the bigger picture, but they stand out because the rest of the platform is so thoughtfully designed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m creating a podcast for the first time while also launching my primary business, and Riverside.fm made that possible. It didn’t just give me the tools—it gave me a full ecosystem of support, from helpful tutorials to publishing partnerships like Spotify for Creators.

Riverside helped me step into podcasting with confidence. It saves me hours of time, especially with editing, and makes the process feel smooth and professional. What surprised me most is that I actually enjoy it. Even though podcasting has taken more time and energy than I first expected, Riverside has made it a genuinely rewarding and accessible experience.
