Great Tool to Start a Podcast

  • July 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside makes it really easy for beginners to start podcasting. I love the AI to remove pauses and pause words. The edit by transcript also makes it easy to edit a comprehensive podcast quickly. I've produced over 100 episodes so far and am not looking to change anytime soon. The team continues to make improvements to the platform, which keeps it relatively intuitive
What do you dislike about the product?
Riverside team should publish platform changes to help users understand what's changed and how to use the newest functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside allows me to quick record and edit video content and podcasts. I love the edit by transcript feature, which allows me to remove outtakes easily.

Riverside: Pro Features for a Hobbyist Price

  • July 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been podcasting since 2009, and I've migrated over the years from Skype to Zoom and now to Riverside. Recording on a purpose-built podcasting platform has been an absolute joy--the sheer range of features, from on-board editing to social-media integration to seamless migration to Castos, has made the experience of producing, editing, and publishing our shows much more of a fun experience and a whole lot less learning to code after 20 years away from the industry.

What's more, even for a hobby-cast like mine, Riverside puts real people on the job when I have questions, and the support that they gave when I linked our catalog at Castos over to their service for recording and editing got things done in a fraction of the time that such work used to take.
What do you dislike about the product?
My podcasts are interview shows, and therefore I'm always dealing with authors and guests who don't have great Internet service in their homes and offices. Riverside has good backup systems to keep those differences from ruining the podcast itself, but when the internet gets dicey during a live recording, Riverside does drop an end user out of the recording and prompts them to re-join the call, which can be unnerving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Podcasting involves chains of Rube-Goldberg machines that talk to each other some days and other days decidedly do not. Riverside streamlines the processes of recording and editing podcast content, populating metadata on Castos, our storage-and-RSS service as soon as we decide to move files that direction. Because Riverside automates so many processes, it makes podcasting much less of a technical heavy lift.

From what people tell me, video podcasts are even more involved, but Riverside's software has me considering an attempt at video content. Mine have always been audio-only shows, but Riverside's video features are impressive enough that I'm considering moving some of our content to YouTube.

What do you like best about the product?
It's smart. real smart. The AI isn't just something they talk about, it works and does really useful and helpful things. I tried several other platforms beofre choosing Riverside and they have the best video and audio quality by far! Customer support has been quick and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not easy to share reaction videos and websites on the fly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making video editing a breeze.

So useful for crafting the story you need

  • July 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having recordings of individual speakers to manipulate into a podcast is so helpful. Have the flexibility to mute, cut, and move by having individual audio and video tracks is essential to my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
For one very important recording session, Riverside would not work for the guest (never found out the reason)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Individual speaker audio and video tracks instead of one group video

What do you dislike about the product?
More templates for social layouts would be a fantastic addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage five social channels and Riverside makes it fell effortless. It's part of my weekly content workflow.

Quality is excellent

  • June 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The resolution and the images you get from these recordings is really top notch. You don't have to worry about spotty internet connections because the video uploads from your hardware when you're done recording. It's so much better this way. It's easy to use and the customer service is so good you'd think you're talking to an AI assistant but you're not. These guys that reply to your emails really take the time to make sure you understand everything and really try to help optimize your experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it says there's an error at the top of the screen when I log in. But I'm guessing it's a temporary glitch. I haven't had any issues using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crystal clear video without having to worry as much about internet connectivity.

Riverside Replaces My Entire Screen Recording Setup

  • June 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Recording product demos used to mean juggling multiple apps. Riverside changed that. I can screen record, add my face in a bubble, get high-quality audio-all from one tab. Then export clips for ads and walkthroughs instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited customization on webcam placement but it's not a dealbreaker
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My Demo turnaround time has improved dramatically, and our leads convert better after watching these polished walkthroughs

Smooth Live Streams Even With Guest Jitters

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to onboard live guests who aren't tech-savvy. Just a simple invite link and Riverside handles everything else. I've hosted panels. Q&As, and town halls without a single crash or quality issue. Plus, the producer view lets me handle technical hiccups quietly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks integration with some niche webinar platforms, but the existing streaming integrations cover most major needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My community loves how smooth the sessions are now. Engagement has gone up because we can focus more on the content than the tech.

Seamless Audio Production with Minimal Post-Editing Required

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside captures studio-quality audio without requiring a studio. Even with guests dialing in from phones or low-end mics, the final output is remarkably clean. The local recording ensures we always have high fidelity sound, even with minor connection issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Post editing in the browser is limited you'll still need tools like audacity or adobe audition for deep edits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Riverside saves me hours on audio repair and balancing. It's one of the best remote production tools I've added to my stack.

Definitely Recommend!

  • June 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This tool is so user-friendly. I had zero experience in recording, editing, or anything really focused on the creative element. I have LOVED using Riverside simply because I was able to immediately jump in and start using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would love to add is the ability to change your view. I like to do a lot of screen records and would like more flexibility on what it looks like. Right now, it looks more like a Zoom template, which isn't bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It becomes a one stop shop for my business, which I truly appreciate.
