Unparalleledclarity, control to securely capture screens
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside imperfect for me as a Cloud Security Engineer to capture detailed security config, incident response walkthroughs, and architecture reviews. Capturing sensitive data and keeping it within our environment and also ensures that we always get a sharp output — even zooming in to focus on logs, code snippets or network diagrams. Recording my screen, camera, and microphone on different tracks is wonderful for autodialing and for creating post-incident reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if there was native support for encrypted cloud storage (like saves go to AWS S3 automatically, but with KMS encryption) to make archiving to those a little easier and more secure. Other areas of improvement include stronger redaction capabilities for automated redaction of credentials or IP addresses that will require less manual post-processing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside records professional quality sound and video without putting sensitive data at risk of exposure through screen capture. It has done away with our disparate device arsenal of non-temporary recorders and stand alone editors, and saved ~10h a week in training and documentation for our team. We are able to easily produce auditable, compliance-ready videos to be used for internal training, client reviews and regulatory demos, without sacrificing security and/or quality.
Works very well
What do you like best about the product?
The Riverside platform is sold and the AI clip works really well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the platform, but it is kind of expensive. However I was able to cancel my OPUS Clip subscription because the Riverside clip creation tool is good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to record my podcast.
Ease of use, great versatility
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is so easy to use and understand, especially for a newbie like me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a Mac user so rely on Safari -- I always have to remember to use Chrome. It would be easier to have it all in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are launching a podcast to help promote our business/business model and Riverside is key!
Easy to use and always one step ahead
What do you like best about the product?
I have moved to Riverside for my video podcasts and absolutely love it. Easy to use, fast and very clever and efficient use of AI
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly at this stage nothing. Only idea of improvement is provide more options for audio export (mid level quality vs high and low.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for my video podcasts and easy to use.
You need this!
What do you like best about the product?
As a first time podcaster I had no idea what I needed. Riverside was so easy to use and after watching the tutorials I was up and recording in no time. Now I’m producing easily edited episodes each week.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is - I wish I had found you sooner!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can record, edit, and host all in one space. I prefer to batch record and schedule my episodes so I don’t have to think about it.
Coaches compass love
What do you like best about the product?
I love its simplicity and makes it easy to connect with others from where ever I’m at. Any friends trying to podcast or get into video software stuff I always recommend riverside. It’s helped me record over 100 episodes and have seen the technology upgrade over the year.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ai sometimes doesn’t make the best magic clips
Or give the best summaries.
Or give the best summaries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s helped me be able to connect with coaches I may not have been able to reach and streamlined how I broadcast.
Makes compliances documentations and training videos painless and audit-ready
What do you like best about the product?
I record compliance workflows, security protocols and system configurations with Riverside. The video is crisp, so being able to look at dense rule books or network dashboards is important for proper training and audits. I also like that recordings are local-first—sensitive data never leaves your device during capture, which is in line with our strict data governance requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more built-in tools for annotation or blurring of info directly in the editor before sharing. Sometimes, larger files of full compliance walkthroughs take more time than expected to be uploaded and processed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has cut the time we spend developing and updating compliance training resources to a fraction. Now we’ve got a library of precise, current video procedures for everything, from working with data to incident response—which shaves offboarding time for new staff and maintains consistency in audits. Even external auditors have noted how useful these visual aids are during their reviews.
It has to be secure and bring the next level in documenting security protocols and architecture
What do you like best about the product?
I also record clear, high definition walkthroughs of cloud security setups, IAM policies, and architecture reviews using Riverside. And because all of the captures are made locally, sensitive data never leaves your system while recording and the output maintains perfect clarity, even when zooming into your codec, log, or config panels. It’s dependable enough for internal training and polished enough for client-facing reviews.
What do you dislike about the product?
Also, I would like integrated support for encrypted storage services for auto-saving to secure buckets. It would also be nice to see stronger blurring or redaction tools to obscure sensitive IP or credentials for example pre-share.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to create standardised security training and incident response videos, whilst not compromising on data governance. My team isn't wasting time explaining and repeating complex configurations we're instead examining real threats. Customers love the open and secure demos, that helps build confidence without messing up live live environments.
Effective Screen Capture for Fintech Operations.
What do you like best about the product?
During our daily operations at the fintech start-up (which I co-founded), Riverside has been a handy screen capture tool. The recordings we make of our finance dashboard or customer support demos are always clear, with good sound quality. The tool is easy to use and reliable. Thus, I can hit the ground running due to its simple interface. The setup was easy within an hour with a small team. You can share the recording on Slack, Google Drive, etc. Customer service responded within a day to a question about valid export options. We use Riverside a lot of times each week to create videos for investors, onboarding videos, and internal training. The features of Riverside, like having audio tracks separate along with transcription, are practical. Further, Riverside isn’t too complex and fits into our needs quite well.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I export larger capture files, it takes longer than I’d like. When time is tight, that slows down sharing with investors or team members. I would love the ability to highlight or draw on the capture while capturing to emphasize something important without having to edit the words. Usually, setup is seamless and hassle-free. Meanwhile, the first sync to the custom analytics platform needed some tweeks which adds a minor step.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside meets the demand of our fintech startup for quality and easily created screen grabs. I record demos of the platform’s features. This includes payment processing workflows, which become critical for pitching to investors or training new hires, along with live data visualizations. The visual output allows complex financial interfaces to be easier to follow and is easy to use allowing your team to create quickly without detracting from his focus on strategy or product. The transcription tool saves time by creating a written guide or captions from recordings. We use these mostly for help articles and social media posts. As a result, we now work together better, onboarding takes less time, demos look good for stakeholders and overall growth has happened without much production cost.
Why Riverside FM Is My Go-To Recording Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside FM has become my go-to recording platform because of its ease of use and all-in-one convenience. I can handle everything—recording, editing, transcripts, video, and audio—all in one place without bouncing between multiple tools. The fact that it records locally is a huge plus, because even if my guest has a shaky internet connection, the final product is still rock solid. I also love that my guests don’t need to download an app; they can just click a link and join. I’ve used Riverside in different settings—from trade shows to one-on-one interviews to recording solo content—and every time it’s been seamless. It’s reliable, flexible, and simple, which makes it a tool I use on a regular basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
As much as I rely on Riverside FM, there are a few areas I wish were more polished. The lack of an easy teleprompter option for guests can make things tricky, especially in one-guest setups where a producer is involved. Some of the editing tools feel a bit limited compared to standalone software, and the auto-generated reels and suggested clips don’t always hit the mark. While none of these are deal-breakers, they are areas that, if improved, would take the platform to another level. Overall though, Riverside FM is still a strong product that I’m happy to use and recommend.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adding to the above, one of the biggest benefits Riverside FM provides is eliminating the stress of relying on someone else’s internet connection. Since it records locally, I don’t have to worry if my guest has a less-than-perfect Wi-Fi setup—their audio and video still come out clear. This gives me the confidence to schedule sessions without hesitation, knowing the final product will look and sound professional. It also saves me time by cutting out the need for coaching, prepping, troubleshooting, or running speed tests before every recording. Instead, we can just relax, have a quick chat, hit record, and know we’re capturing great quality from the start.
