Great service
What do you like best about the product?
It handles recording audio/video with a guest REALLY well. The editing features are solid. Lots of awesome AI help now, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI auto-editor gets in my way sometimes. It tries to auto-cut an episode but doesn't take into account that my co-host and I always record a separate intro segment after our call with the guest. Riverside auto sorts these two clips into separate projects EVERY time and then I have to manually move one into the same project after the fact. It is annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One-stop solution for recording, editing, and exporting our video podcast.
A must-have for a new podcaster!
What do you like best about the product?
It makes podcasting SO easy. Not only does it create HIGH quality audio and video for the overall content, but after it offers tools to help create shorts for social media and clips that help you promote it. I'm sure there are tons of features I haven't used yet, but I got my podcast up, running, and promoted SO quickly...
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really yet. I've had some "magic" episodes not work, but other than that it's top notch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like I said, it just makes things SO easy and it's VERY user-friendly.
Quick, effective editing.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the option to immediately share it to my Spotify account once the editing is finished. It's a seamless process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Riverside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside saves me lots of time because the editing is swift and effective. Also, I can share my recording to Spotify directly from my Riverside account which is so awesome because its saving me multiple steps and opening up another tab.
Always-On Reliability for Screencasting Your Critical Demo’s and Incident Reports
What do you like best about the product?
Part of my job is to produce perfect recordings for technical demos of our financial data API, document post-incident reviews and help teach other engineers the procedures around deployments. The key feature for us is the onboard recording. During a screen share or while I'm walking people through data in Realtime, every single command and each line output must be accurately shown. Riverside ensures that even the call itself doesn’t suffer from any network latency or packet loss. The distinctive audio track is also key; it means I can play around with any background noise on my end without altering the perfect sound of the screen capture. Such accuracy in documentation is vital for a financial services company,* and Riverside provides that reliability on a regular basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is designed for standard content creation, so certain advanced AI features have not felt as applicable to our use cases (which are very technical and specific). The API works but is shallow, and lacks enough depth to automate all the way through our ingestion of recordings directly into our internal wiki or incident management systems. We often download those files and do the workflow within that. Releasing 4K screen captures is slow the file sizes can be huge, so that’s understandable. But it does require a bit of planning if you want to get stuff out urgently after a big incident.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside tackles the issue of shitty and low quality screen recordings for your documentation. "Before, with the typical screen capture tools, we could risk artifacts, sync problems, pixelization covering up key information in a code demo or about in incident timeline. And this was generating real potential for miscommunication, error. So now we have one source of truth for these recordings. The result is more clarity and accountability. Our API integration demos for clients look professional and inspire confidence, and our internal post-mortem reviews are based on an utterly clear record of exactly what happened - an absolute must in a regulated industry. It facilitates the exchange of knowledge and enhances our operational cohesion.
An Essential Tool for Dependable Training and Compliance Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
In healthcare, specificity and precision is not just a preference it’s a requirement. We use Riverside to shoot prerecorded training modules for new software rollouts, document standard operating procedure (SOP) trainings and record webinar-style updates from our medical leadership to share with staff who can’t attend live. Local recording is the most important feature by far. It allows us to record each click of a software demo, every detail of a policy explanation, or for a practiced slide share, all in crystal clear quality no matter how weak the network across our sprawling campus or that in an end user's home. This ensures the training and information we deliver is of the highest fidelity and can not be misinterpreted that potentially can affect patient care or compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that could run more efficiently from an administration point of view is handling user access and seats for a big enterprise. The interface, which is basic for a recorder, presents a bit of learning curve for our less tech-literate clinical managers who record presentations and they sometimes need a yes refresher on where to go find it. Export times for longer, high-quality videos can be long – so do consider this when you devise your content development pipeline. But these are small operational speed bumps, not crucial flaws in the core product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside addresses the most important needs for communication, training and compliance auditing. In the past, shooting a software training session with a basic conferencing tool could lead to pixelated screen shares or garbled audio — and lots of confusion, and support tickets. Now, we are batting 1.000.” This is necessary for compliance since we have a clear video record of processes and software use which can then be used in any audits. This leads to a really valuable surge in operational efficiency - trained staff are better-trained staff, and they can be trained asynchronously across all shifts so that clinical staff spend even less time learning during live training. It creates the consistency and continuity across our communications and procedures, ensuring patient safety and operational excellence.
A consistent, solid workhorse for producing high quality ad content
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Riverside to record and edit video and audio for client ads and case studies. Best part, the quality is consistent. That’s good for the ads we run on platforms like YouTube and Meta, where we need to make sure everything sounds professional and professional-looking content cuts through,” Sioukas says. The individual tracks save my life; I can clean up a person’s audio if there is background noise and without affecting the others. The browser editor is plain. I can also easily trim the beginning and end of a clip, cut out uncomfortable silences and download the video or audio finished product to drop straight into our ad manager. It just flows and doesn’t get in the way of my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The included editor is fine for basic, simple cutting but it’s not a fully featured video editing package. For more in-depth projects, I still have to download the individual tracks and work with them on dedicated editing software, which is an extra step. The processing time required to download those high-res video files can sometimes feel a little long when you’re working against the clock to get an ad live. And I think you could be more generous on the transcription credits for standard plan, since I like to use them for making captions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gets around bad source footage. Bad audio is something that you can’t fix in an edit, and Riverside has ensured we never need to try. This is particularly helpful for client testimonials: they’re frequently joining from their home office, and even if I’m not getting studio-quality audio from them, I can still get a clean file. The advantage of this is that now could create professional looking ad creative in-house and much cheaper than a studio. It makes our clients look good and lifts the perceived value of the ads we run, which I think helps answer better. It has developed into a more standard part of our creation of genuine marketing content.

Impeccable Monthly Board Reporting with Clear as Crystal Screen Captures
What do you like best about the product?
As a Project Manager, the main way that I use Riverside is to ensure that my section of our monthly board meetings are recorded and presented in an uncontroversial capacity – KPI dash boards, project timelines and financials from my screen. Many of the board members participate by videoconference, and these recordings must be flawless for the official record and for those not in attendance. The local recording of Riverside is the highlight. It captures my screen and presentation in crystal clear quality irrespective of my internet connection or the video quality of virtual attendees. I’m no longer anxious about a Wi-Fi hiccup spoiling an important presentation. And the ability to record 3 independent tracks of high quality; my microphone, system (PreSonus Crossroads), and screen is a time saver for editing. And if someone’s audio drops, I can easily make an adjustment without ruining the crystal-clear quality of my screen recording. It is the most accurate and professional one I have come across using for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface for downloading the output assets after recording takes a bit to get used to, especially the first time. You have to find the recording, pick out the tracks you want and then process the export — a task that can be time-consuming for long, high-quality videos. It’s a mild aggravation we account for in our monthly use, but I’d prefer an export that requires only one click for the most typical format. Also, as accurate as the transcription may be, long board meeting recordings don’t offer quite the same actionability in an AI-generated summary as they do raw for me to quickly scan through what decisions were made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves the fundamental archival integrity issue inherent to our board meetings. In the past we used standard webinar tools and recordings would frequently contain pixelated screen shares, audio that was out of sync or compression artifacts rendering data in spreadsheets and dashboard unreadable. This was a significant risk. I now have a perfect, broadcast-quality record of what is presented. This is great for me because it saves me any post-meeting anxiety about recording quality, shields me from the need to re-teach purposes demonstrated in grainy videos, and it offers my board a professional, reliable archive.” What it does is that every single dot, every visuals are brought in perfectly which is something not negotiable for me when it's comes to governance and decision making.
The Success Engineer. The Ultimate Weapon for Snapping and Trust-Driven Brand Stories.
What do you like best about the product?
As a CEO of modern fashion, authenticity and visual storytelling is everything. Riverside has transformed how we think about content creation. We use it mainly to capture high-fidelity interviews with our designers, behind-the-scenes footage of our team and real customers telling their stories. There is no better audio and video quality than what we can record locally of each participant, which means that every time we have broadcast-quality b-roll without a production crew. This quality output enables us to repurpose one interview into a social media clip, website piece, and email marketing content that matches production value of high-end agency work. It's also fantastic from a guest usability standpoint - they click on a link and are in the studio, so that really enables us to capture authentic moments from real people who may not be at all technical. It has really leveled up the quality and efficiency of our brand content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing tiers also feel somewhat restrictive for our specific use case. The features we actually need to be professional — 4K video, longer recording time — are part of a premium plan. The value is there, but it’s an investment for a growing brand. The interface for snipping and creating highlights within the platform is also functional, but feels a step behind the core recording experience. Usually we just download all the separate tracks and do a final polish in an NLE software this is our preferred workflow anyway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside fixes two important issues for us; content quality and operational efficiency. Prior to Riverside we were hamstrung by low-quality audio and video from traditional conferencing tools – everything looked amateurish. Now, we look professional and polished all the time. Secondly, it really simplifies our whole content creation process. What once took a trip to schedule a physical studio, a videographer and an editor can now be more natural with the inclusion of guests from afar. This agility enables us to respond quickly to trends and tell our story in real-time, cutting way down on time-to-market for our marketing campaigns while also establishing deeper trust with the audience through genuine, high-quality content.
Perfect tool for podcasting recording.
What do you like best about the product?
Makes professional studio recordings accessible. My friends and I had no experience recording, but Riverside made it super simple and helped us create a great product!
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall it was great. I think if there was a function that helped us set up in person recordings I would have liked that. We figured it out, but it took some creative problem solving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Audio mixing and transcript generation.
