Best tool for starting your own podcast
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside has made it so much easier to grow my podcast, Overcompensated. The platform gives me high-quality recordings without having to worry about tech issues, which lets me focus fully on conversations with my guests. I also love the AI-generated clips, as they save me hours of editing time and make it simple to share polished, engaging content across social media. It’s been one of the biggest factors in helping me grow both listenership and visibility for the show.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the AI-generated clips miss some of the moments I’d want highlighted, so I still need to have my intern review and tweak them before posting. The mobile experience could also be a bit smoother for guests who aren’t as tech-savvy. But overall, those are small trade-offs compared to the value Riverside brings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves two big challenges for me as a podcaster: recording quality and content distribution. Before using Riverside, I worried about poor audio/video from virtual interviews, now I consistently get studio-quality recordings that elevate the professionalism of my podcast, Overcompensated. On top of that, the AI-generated clips feature makes repurposing episodes so much easier. Instead of spending hours editing, I can quickly share high-quality snippets across LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram, which has helped me expand my audience, strengthen my brand, and keep a consistent posting schedule without burning out.
Great platform for video recording, editing, and more
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is extremely user-friendly. My team relies on it regularly, and the platform makes it straightforward to produce high-quality video content, podcasts, social media posts, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, my experience with Riverside has been positive. However, I do wish it offered more video editing features, as it currently lags behind some competitors, such as Capcut, when it comes to available functionalities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside simplifies the process of recording both video and audio by bringing everything together in a single platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Moving to Riverside has increased our productivity, improved our workflow, and has delivered a better product for our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there is no actual downside to using Riverside, I wish some of the upgraded features were available in the Pro account vs. the business account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is solving all of the above problems. Everything we need is now in one place. I don't need to use separate tools or applications to record, edit, and make clips for social.
Great great greaaaat translation services! Quick, easy, no limits for free users, and great accuracy
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Riverside is getting transcriptions of audios or videos in all formats .wav .mp3 .mp4 etc on-demand because of how quick it is, and you don't even have to sign up to use the translation services. You get a simple .txt file with the transcription ready to use however you need. You can use this service without limits through the day or limits in how many transcriptions you can do daily, at least, that I know of or are explicitly stated. Really simple to implement and use, just upload a file, choose language, select what the video or audio is about (you can choose other) check the box for anti-robot, and click transcript, and there you go! in less than 2 min you can get a text transcript of a 10 minute audio which was my case. You can even choose captions! Don't want to download anything? the transcription is ready to be copied to your clipboard instantly after it is finished! A lot of languages available too! This is why I decided to leave a review here, as a "thank you" gesture for Riverside allowing free use of transcriptions without registration. Even if you register, you don't need a credit card!
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, as far as I used it for transcriptions of audio and videos, I did not find any downsides. I have not tried other features form Riverside, so, that is why at least regarding transcription services, I do not see any downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My wife needed to transcribe a 1 hour long recorded training session to understand better what the process looks like, without having to watch the whole thing or hear the whole thing, and riverside knocked out that task easily! I tried other services but they only had a 10 min free limit, and you had to pay for hour-transcription credits which is insulting (Yes, Amberscript, I am talking about you). I even tried some complicated transcription programs in Mac using the Terminal (but it needs python, torch, and the app is Whisper which is reaaaally slow) which is almost impossible to set up, and the transcription is MEGA slow. Riverside solved my transcription needs in less than 10 minutes at no charge, and with excellent precision. THANK YOU, RIVERSIDE!
An Outstanding Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Moving to Riverside has changed my entire working week. Previously I was manually editing my podcast using a combination of Logic and Premier Pro, but the step to Riverside has removed most of that laborious workflow.
The features are second to none, from recording sessions and planning, through to sound and graphic editing. It has every feature I need.
Then comes the Ai features. These are a game changer. Being able to process and separate clips and segments is a huge time saver that can't be praised highly enough, and the Ai audio processing is outstanding. I have to change very little once that has run.
I had need to contact support on one occasion, and they came back to me with a solution very quickly.
The integrations are also excellent. We use Spotify and YouTube for our pod, and Riverside is now working seamlessly with both.
Genuinely, I can't speak highly enough of Riverside.

I have very little on the negative side for Riverside. Perhaps, once or twice the platform struggles to load, and it may take a few refreshes to get things up and running … but that's it.

Riverside has given me time. It removes the stress of manual edits and tweaks in our podcast. A massive time saver for me. It has genuinely given me back two days of the week.
high-quality video without the production headache
What do you like best about the product?
riverside makes editing feel like working in a google doc. you can cut, clean, and remix clips in minutes. i love how easy it is to repurpose content for different stages of the funnel, whether it’s a short social cut or a full webinar replay. branding is simple, and the interface is genuinely user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing major. sometimes render times are a touch longer than i’d like, but the tradeoff for quality is worth it. the live functionality has a bit of a learning curve (specifically with custom RTMPs/delay to feed) but i don't think that' s isolated to this tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
video content used to feel out of reach for lean teams. riverside makes it accessible. i use it personally, professionally, in my full-time role and contract work. it lets me turn one recording into dozens of polished, on-brand assets that actually move the needle, without needing a big budget or production team.

What do you like best about the product?
The tools given for editing and the short clips created for use on social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to be linked through an ethernet connections. Wi-fi doesn't create a clean products.

Recording and editing the podcast in one location.
Easy to use, high quality footage over internet interviews.
What do you like best about the product?
We exclusively use Riverside.FM to produce and record our webcasts and testimonials. Its high-quality local recording feature allows our editors to work with excellent video footage, all without the need for travel.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to mention. A few of our older interviewees sometimes have trouble connecting, but this usually only happens with those who aren't very familiar with technology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interviewing many people for content creation and corporate communications. DO NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL TO GET GOOD FOOTAGE!!!!

It is incredibly intuitive and simple to get started with limited knowledge of editing and creating content for social media, podcasts and more
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love some video form help when exploring a new feature. Maybe its already out there but I haven't seen anything within riverside. I don't want to go to youtube cause it can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is like having a full marketing and tech team on my side. As a one man business I love the ability to take one piece of content and edit it to be multiple clips for social media and a recorded webinar. I just learned that I can live stream on riverside for my webinars which allows me to record them at the same time. This helps me avoid the attendee and time limits that Google meet and zoom have. This is a game changer for me.

What do you like best about the product?
It handles recording audio/video with a guest REALLY well. The editing features are solid. Lots of awesome AI help now, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI auto-editor gets in my way sometimes. It tries to auto-cut an episode but doesn't take into account that my co-host and I always record a separate intro segment after our call with the guest. Riverside auto sorts these two clips into separate projects EVERY time and then I have to manually move one into the same project after the fact. It is annoying.
