The Basis for Our High-Converting Case Study and Ad Videos

  • September 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My job is to produce snappy case study videos and ad creative demonstrating the results we deliver our clients in the hospitality industry. By far the #1 feature for me is that of separate high fidelity audio, along with video. When I do conduct an interview with a client, Riverside provides me with a solid, isolated audio file for each participant. That is a game changer when editing; since I can easily take out background noise, balance volumes so that everybody sounds clear, professional having trustworthiness with prospects is key. The video quality is still sharp and steady, even when I’m sharing my screen to navigate through analytics dashboards. It offers raw material of a professional standard that allows us to work on the polished final results.
What do you dislike about the product?
The native editing tools on the platform work perfectly fine for quick social clips, but our full case studies always get exported to a dedicated video editor where I can make more advanced cuts, color grade and brand. And it can take a little longer to download several high resolution video tracks, which isn’t ideal when I’m on deadline. Also, I'd like to see more social media options for the exporting process as well as a separate video formatting GRANULAR settings for each individual social media network (but it would be neat if this was already implemented in Shotcut's export settings).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside addresses this issue of amateur looking source footage. In the past, client testimonial videos shot over Zoom sounded tinny and looked grainy, which detracted from our message. And now we write content that looks and sounds as premium as the services which we offer. This in turn helps us with growing by raising our perceived value as an agency and having better engagement on our case studies, and allows us to get high quality assets we can feel good about using for PPC purposes so we can generate higher quality leads.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This is a quality platform that appears to be user-friendly, making it suitable for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn’t a complete all-in-one platform yet, as there are still extra steps required in the workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m able to record from any location without the need for any special equipment.

The one and only platform that delivers clinical-grade audio quality

  • September 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm limiting myself to the audio engineer perspective for a secure communication platform. We lean on Riverside to make training videos and internal announcements, which often require sensitive terminology. The MTLR is a necessity. The audio for each participant is recorded locally at 48kHz and this clean, isolated source lets me mix it and master with clinical precision. It is a bare minimum required of us. Quality is always ready for broadcast and I never have to worry about needing to pull in a singer because of audio artifacts or compression - a huge efficiency, given our tight production schedule. The one feature that clearly sets Riverside apart is the option to download uncompressed WAV files directly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The in-built audio editor is too simplistic and amateurish for any professional application; it’s ok if there’s some basic leveling to be done, but I need the parametric EQs, voice over processing and spectral analysis facilities. I never use the master items, only the individual songs on my dedicated DAW. To be sure, the service’s emphasis is strictly on video and audio settings are sometimes hidden behind menus that may take a few advance clicks to access. For me in my workflow, these are small niggle points … as the source quality is just so good!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem Riverside addresses the core issue on unstable source audio. In a clinical setting, every word needs to make sense. Standard conferencing solutions compress audio heavily, which can blur clinical terms and lead to misunderstandings. Riverside ensures we are served a pure, unadulterated source from the recording date. This helps our firm to communicate clearly in all of our correspondence, which is a signature of our attention to detail while mitigating misinterpretation. It makes my post-production workflow so much more efficient, and I can spend more time improving audio rather than fixing it.

Best All Around Tool!

  • September 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I started a YouTube channel this year and was looking for an all-in-one solution. My friend who is an editor suggested Riverside because of how easy it was to use. It is very intuitive and I had no problem with implementing Riverside. I use it weekly and it continues to get better. For reference, I have zero experience in anything related to video, editing, etc. so I was starting from nothing. Additionally, even to this day, I have not watched a single tutorial or video...if you click around a few times you figure it out! I have reached out to customer suppport 3 times and each instance they have been really responsive and helpful. Cannot say enough good things about this...especially for the price point.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like it to add a feature where you can speed up portions of the recording. Also the dub technology and thumbnail development still leaves some room for improvement. To be fair, that's more of a limitation of where AI is right now versus the quality of Riverside. Other than that, it has a lot of great options for displays.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside creates accessibility. I taught my 70-year-old mom how to use it, and she loves it as well. So for someone who wants to jump in and doesn't have experience in creating content or editing, this is perfect. I love the podcast option too, it's been really easy to use and I appreciate that my guests do not have to download something else.

Excellent Podcast and Livestream Tool That Only Gets better.

  • September 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside has made podcasts and livestreams so easy. It's simple to invite others, grabs high quality recordings from everyone, even on a livestream, and then helps edits the episode and clips to go along with it pretty much automatically. The AI tool works better than you might expect and the quality of everything is really good. Setting up a new project, recording and live streaming are all very easy. The platform also integrates seamlessly with YouTube.
What do you dislike about the product?
The iOS, MacOS and Android apps all seem more difficult to use that they should be. I never see the same things between the apps and what's on the web. I with the implementations were more similar to what was on the web. The apps are pretty frustrating to use overall. Also sometimes things can be a bit slow, but the convenience and quality are worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making solo content creation easy while still offering great quality. I love that within just a couple of mins of recording I have magic episodes, clips and moments to share. This makes what I create reusable, something I wouldn't have done on other platforms.

Love the AI features--saves so much time!

  • September 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Riverside is the AI features. They save me so much time! Riverside automatically will create a bunch of shorter clips for social media ("Magic Clips"), as well as longer "Magic Segments" that are perfect snippets to include in my newsletter. It even writes show notes for you if you want.

I also love the ease of playing with the audio tracks, automatically removing pauses and filler words, and enhancing the audio. Not a lot of other programs include these features in such easy-to-use ways.

The few things I have had to reach out to customer support for were met with very timely responses, which is another big plus!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much that I dislike, however I will say the speed is not always the best. Oftentimes, when editing full episodes, I have to switch to the "audio only" option because the video will stop and load every few seconds. This isn't that big of a deal though, and could also be a result of my computer's processing speed as well as my WiFi connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside helps me solve--first and foremost--the issue of time. Working 3+ jobs, I chronically feel like I never have enough time in the day. Riverside has saved me hours.

I love Riverside!

  • September 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Riverside multiple times a week. It makes recording a podcast so easy. What I love most is that it keeps improving. It was always great and now they allow me to host a podcast on their platform. I have a weekly podcast that I can record, edit on Riverside, and publish all in less than an hour a week. It's amazing and I highly recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, I encounter a glitch, with the most frequent issue being a recording that gets stuck during processing. Fortunately, reaching out to support typically resolves the problem quite quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside makes it so simple to record, edit, and host my podcasts.

Easy to use with bells and whistles at a low price point!

  • September 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The AI tools are the most helpful and the platform is so incredibly easy to use. It's intuitive while also offering robust features that make an amateur editor feel like a rockstar. I use it for so many things, from creating short internal videos that explain things to my team to full blown branded interviews with clients for case studies and everything in between. The resources they offer to help get you up and running are also fantastic. Their YouTube channel is great. They use their own software which displays authenticity and breeds trust.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I don't like about Riverside. It's simply amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has replaced several software needs - transcript tool, screenshare and video capture, content creation and video editing. Instead of having several tabs open and lots of things happening at once, I can simply use Riverside to get it all done. It's amazing!
