Reliable platform for recording and editing high-quality content

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a small business owner, I really appreciate how simple Riverside is to use. I record client interviews and short marketing videos every week, and the quality is consistently sharp even when my guests join remotely. The screen and video capture feature feels very intuitive, and I can edit both the video and audio without needing extra software. I like that everything happens in one place — recording, trimming, and exporting. The interface is clean, and I didn’t have to spend hours figuring it out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes larger video files take a bit longer to process, especially when exporting in higher resolutions. I also wish there were a few more built-in audio enhancement tools without needing to rely on external plugins. Other than that, the experience has been very smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Riverside, I struggled to maintain consistent video and audio quality across different recording sessions. Now, I can record professional-level videos without hiring extra help or using complicated software. The built-in video editing and audio cleanup save me a lot of time, and I can quickly repurpose my recordings into clips for social media and website content. It has made content creation much easier for my business, helpingme stay consistent without adding more to my workload.

Professional Quality Without the Hassle

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Setting up recordings is quick and painless. Guests can joinwith just a link, and the audio and video quality always meet professional standards. The platform is very reliable, and text-based editing lets us polish recordings in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Large files take longer to upload than expected, and the mobile app lacks some advanced editing features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Riverside, remote recording was messy and time-consuming. Now, our team can focus on content rather than technical issues, and the final recordings consistently sound studio-quality.

Best in class

What do you like best about the product?
I run a remote video agency. I use Riverside daily, as does my team. We use for recording client content calls and my podcast.

What I like:

- Easy to share raw video files with editor/clients
- Editor is always getting better, so I don't have to send every little video out to my team if I want a quick & dirty edit.
- The platform gives you lots of notifications if things go wrong with your tech or the guest's tech.
- Really strong customer support.
- I love the track splits.
- I think the post-production content creation process is much easier than Streamyard: you get all of your files in one place, easy access, and you don't have to click around to find them. You also get a summary with bullet points and a rough AI attempt at potential titles (TBH I never use these titles, they're pretty bad right now).
- It's really easy for guests to figure out, it's just like joining a Zoom or Google Meet.
What do you dislike about the product?
- I don't like that the price jumps from $25/mo to $500/mo in order to access features like being able to control your client's A/V. This is important for us when we work with clients who aren't tech savvy.
- If you use the text editor, it tends to leave little a couple frames of video in between cuts regularly.
- It's very resource intensive on a machine. That's fine on my desktop but my older laptop from 2018 struggles to load the studio space quickly. If you don't show up early, you're often sitting there nervously while the studio loads and your client is waiting for you to join.
- About 1 out of every 5 times there's an issue with loading into a studio on mobile on the guest's side. They need to reset the app to join.
- I do a lot of planned LinkedIn Live events for my business but you can't use Riverside for them because there's no way to connect the live stream feature of Riverside to a pre-planned event. I found this out the hard way by going live and no-one who signed up for the event saw my video -- it was streaming on my personal account separate from the LinkedIn live event.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I couldn't run my remote video agency without it.

Riverside has changed how we podcast, for the better.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
First and foremost, the video and audio quality are better than any platform we've used. My co-host live in separate states so it is vital to have a good remote recording tool and Riverside checks all the boxes. Additionally, the editing features have not only enhanced our end product, but done so by completely cutting a substantial time spend on our end. Can not recommend this platform enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only "gripe" is the app. Using a browser on a desktop/laptop is a much easier, and more robust user experience than using the app. It would be outstanding to have the same functionalities present in both settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us record remotely while also providing crisp video and audio quality. It has also made the editing process a breeze, while substantially enhancing the content we provide to our listeners.

A Reliable Platform for Consistent Team Recordings

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside has become an important part of our content workflow. The ability to capture both video and audio in studio quality makes a huge difference for our internal interviews and client demos. It’s stable, easy to operate, and integrates smoothly into our existing setup. The local recording feature ensures that even if someone’s connection drops, the final output still sounds clean and uninterrupted.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s a short delay when rendering long recordings, and occasionally the upload progress freezes for a few seconds. Aside from that, it performs reliably every time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team needed a dependable solution to record professional-grade sessions without relying on multiple tools. Riverside solved that perfectly. It helped us standardize our recording process across departments and maintain consistent quality across every session. The time saved in post-production alone makes it well worth the investment.

Riverside Made Remote Recording Feel Effortless and Studio-Quality

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Screen and video capture quality is top-notch — no lag or frame drops. Audio stays crystal-clear even when recording guests from different cities. Text-based editing saves a huge amount of time in post-production. Simple invite system — guests join with just one link, no setup needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app could use a little polish; it’s not as smooth as desktop. Uploading large video files sometimes takes longer than expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Riverside, our remote interviews always sounded inconsistent — background noise, dropouts, and syncing issues made editing painful. Now, we can record podcast sessions and product demo videos that sound like they were produced in a real studio. It helped us stay consistent with our content goals and easily manage both screen capture and audio editing in one place.

Overcame my fear of video

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Like many people, I imagine, I was hesitant to start making my own videos because I found video editing to be extremely difficult and time consuming, and I never seemed to end up with some of a quality I was happy with that.
Riverside helped me overcome that barrier. The video editor is extremely easy for simple editing, and fairly easy for moderately complex editing. The AI tools also make it so much easier to produce a quality output.
What do you dislike about the product?
For more complex and detailed edits, especially trying to compensate for issues in the original recording, I still find the editor a little finicky. But I've still not seen anything easier.
And if you do rum into problem, their customer support is awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a long time blogger, Riverside allows me to "get off the page" in producing content.

Riverside Made Our Remote Video Sessions Look and Sound Like Studio Productions

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The screen and video capture quality is outstanding — crystal-clear recordings even when teammates join from different time zones. The audio editor feels intuitive, almost like editing a simple doc, which saves us hours every week. We’ve been tracking our production improvements, and it’s helping us get closer to our goal of being in the top 3 podcast brands within the next two months.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major so far. If anything, the upload speed could be a bit faster for long recordings, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Riverside, our remote interviews and team updates often sounded uneven — some voices clear, others distorted. Now, everything feels balanced and professional. It’s made collaboration smoother, and our clients often mention how much more polished our content sounds.

Reliable Recording Platform That Makes Remote Sessions Stress-Free

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, the best part about using Riverside is how simple it feels once you start recording. Even with guests joining from different places, the sound quality stays crisp and clear. I also like how the separate audio tracks make editing much easier later.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the upload takes a bit longer if the internet connection isn’t great. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it can slow down the process when working with large files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted a dependable setup for recording podcasts remotely without needing a studio or expensive gear. Riverside solved that perfectly — it saves us time, keeps our workflow smooth, and helps the team focus more on content instead of tech issues.
