Top of the class
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is THE podcast recording platform. We recommend it to all of our clients due to it's high quality recording options, simple UI, and multitude of features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only caveat is that Riverside can be resource heavy, and in case you have an older machine - might require it to be the only active tab in order to operate without friction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped us streamline our editing process and take away extra steps from clients, such as retrieving files.
Flawless
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of use, both for the host and the guests.
Have used it extensively both for my audio podcasts and audio+video podcasts.
Have used it extensively both for my audio podcasts and audio+video podcasts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The look and feel could be made more sophisticated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online recordings can get way out of hand and the quality can take a huge hit.
Riverside does it really well and ensures the quality is intact.

Riverside raised our game
What do you like best about the product?
The audio and video quality is the best we have found after ten years of using other platforms for podcast recording and video streaming. The interface rocks too and is drop dead easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a small inconvenience to get high quality audio and video but it is sometimes difficult to get guests to remember to leave their browsers open for the uploads to complete. That said, there is a tool in the interface to send a reminder/prompt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a single platform that has improved the audio quality of our podcast and given us an easy, high quality entry point to producing video shorts for our website, digital magazine and social media.
High Quality experience, every time.
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, guests like the end result, it sends instructions how to use Riverside.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is only on Chrome, that restricts things slightly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High quality podcast and vodcast capture and easy to use.
easy to use and great support team
What do you like best about the product?
The youTube videos have been super helpful as I am new to this type of media
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have not found anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for multiple organizations. The multi-remote user option is beneficial. Creating files for all separately is going to be a lifesaver.
Best app for podcasting.
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is such an easy to use tool when it comes to recording my podcast. The UI is user friendly and not overbearing like some other platforms I've tried in the past. I cannot stress enough how great this and if we ever decide to go to a video podcast the clarity in which it records is second to none!
What do you dislike about the product?
Truly there isn't a thing that I dislike so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's making it easy to differentiate between the two audio files of myself and my cohost while allowing us to easily produce our show. The set up took 15 minutes at most, and it's been so easy to create our show and export it to streaming platforms.
Great service for podcasting
What do you like best about the product?
The studio set up makes it easy to bring people in on a podcast and record.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing system is a bit clunky. Making a clip and editing the podcast is not that great and I have to use other tools to edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is making it easy to record audio and video for my podcast.
Riverside has been a game changer!
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is easy to use and doesn't bog down my computer during recording like other podcast recording platforms. Downloading video and audio to my computer for editing is also very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The back-end user interface could use a little work. It's a bit confusing at first to set up a studio but there was plenty of help available to figure it out. I wish it was more user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside helps our podcast capture high-quality audio and video. This allows us to edit both and share the video on platforms like YouTube or Vimeo. Zoom wasn't designed for this and we struggled for a while before finally making the switch.
Brilliant application that is quick and simple to use, even for beginners
What do you like best about the product?
The layout makes it easy to use along with the functionality that you need. It does not take long to really get up to speed with using the tool. I've looked at others but it was not quiet the same level.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike, but it would be cool if it had a booking function to allow guests to book a time when they are free to schedule the podcast recording
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to record many professional podcasts, which allowed me to do just that. I can choose the video if I want to or just the audio. It has the ability to upload from both sides, so it does put more work on my end and causes my connection to lag or hang.
A true podcast and videocast recording option that is better than Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
Local recording, and the ability to sync it all up cause everyone is on Wifi these days. Awesome producer options, sound quality is always great, and it is very easy for guests and live audience to be on the podcast. Whether they use the app, or any desktop around the world, it's very easy to use. I haven't used the editing tools as we use another tool for editing, so can't comment on that, but by the looks of tutorials, it looks powerful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. I think it would be great to see more options for controlling volume levels and having it auto balance between all the guests, speakers, hosts, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're producing a podcast, and we used to use ZOOM with separately audio recordings. However, it would require the guests to upload their local version of the audio recording, and our editors had to sync it all up etc. Now, this is so easy for our guests on our podcast. It's amazing.
