Great Platform for Podcast Recording
What do you like best about the product?

Easiest & most useful platform for podcasting
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is simple & easy to use. Guests are always easily able to log on and as a producer I love that I can properly see people's settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcriptions can take a bit of time and be a bit wonky. I'd love to be able to get transcripts with timecodes that aren't SRTs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recording interviews for a podcast. It makes it easy and eliminates so many tech hiccups.
Excellent Quality Audio!
What do you like best about the product?
I've used a half dozen tools to record both audio and video. The problem with most is when you do video, they sacrifice audio quality. Riverside.fm provides the same high quality audio files along with video rather than mashing them together and hoping the audio survives.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had a few more video-centric features like custom lower thirds and camera switching, etc., but I'd rather have quality audio over those. For audiophiles, it serves the purpose well. For video-centric folks, not as much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The audio quality is my biggest need and it, better than other tools, captures strong audio without sacrificing it when adding video. Other platforms just take native audio functions that come with video. But that leaves a lot to be desired from an audio standpoint.

Integrating guests and my studio together. Capturing video and audio files.
Easy to use - Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is in the cloud. The ease of setting up and then actually implementing online interviews of guests for my podcast is outstanding. The ability to link it to platforms like Calendly to schedule guests is awesome. The sound quality it amazingly crystal clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not one thing I dislike. I can't say enough good things about this platform. Keep up the great work Riverside. Absolutely love the platform. Nothing wrong with it at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm provides high quality audio, and quality video for my podcasts. I was previously utilizing Zoom in the free side, but the sound quality was not good and the limit on time and video quality made it problematic to use. Once I signed up for Riverside.fm I found excellent video, crystal clear audio and simply recording features without interruption or loss of audio/video due to poor connections.
No other video broadcast service offers such quality. The local recording is everything.

It's easy to use and simple for guests to be able to understand and connect with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The exporting process is clunky. It took me forever to figure out how to export clips and i didnt know if i did it correcty until hours later when I got an email saying export was done.

What do you like best about the product?
I felt like a pro from day 1 of making the switch to the Riverside.fm platform. Having access to all of the tools and software makes a difference in creating an award winning experience.

Riverside.fm provides my companies with a one stop shop to create and edit quality recordings to put forth in the marketplace.
Exactly the right tool for the job!
What do you like best about the product?
It is perfect for podcasting in all facets. From recording to editing to producing great audio Riverside has it all covered. I probably like the fact that I can get individual audio and video tracks from each person that are recorded locally. So even if there is an issue during recording I still get clean audio and video to use in post.
What do you dislike about the product?
the video editing is somewhat klunky but it allows me to download video from individual feeds to I can edit in a different environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it gives me separate video and audio feeds which makes editing the final product so much easier

My colleagues and I were searching for the right technical solution for a podcast we were about to launch at NYU, and we decided to use the Riverside platform. Since we have been using this platform, I have been very pleased with the reliability of the platform (It works every time), and the great convenience of use.

I'd appreciate the option to use a custom background.

One great piece of software that works for podcasts
What do you like best about the product?
I have previously used zoom.us and other tools for my video podcasts. Recording is one thing, then downloading everything, editing intro and outro, cutting out parts. It just takes some time. With Riverside I have now found the one and only. I have a mediaboard and can add sound effects directly, I can cut directly in the browser and then only one download for YouTube. From Riverside I can publish directly to Spotify the episode. It takes a lot of individual steps from me, which gives me more time for other things. In addition, I can create multiple studios if I have multiple podcasts from and all under one roof. I also recommend the YouTube channel, where I have received many tips and tricks for the light. What I really like is that I can use multi cams, just put an iPad next to it and add only the camera in the studio. Just awesome!

The Export takes often some time for episodes over 20 minutes. But they email you when its ready so that you can do other stuff in the time (ex. write the shownotes) :)
