What do you dislike about the product?
In the beginning my volume kept being off and I wasn't sure what the issue was but it was on me. The video editing was a challenge at first but I've figured it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was always the quality of my recordings that I was having trouble with. I'm no longer having those issues thx to riverside. I was using zoom. Can't say my business has increased but the quality is much better.
A great solution for our virtual interview series
What do you like best about the product?
We were looking for a solution to help us conduct interviews with design professionals located across the U.S. Riverside made it easy for us to host these participants, many of which were new to being recorded, in a comfortable online environment. We got great footage for the interviews and alongside some quick Amazon equipment purchases recorded way better footage than we would have otherwise.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love a way to better utilize our participants' phone cameras without quite as much complexity. It would help us with low-cost 4K recording to make it easier for a first-time user (joining as a guest) to get started. We wound up recording using Apple's continuity camera feature to get HD footage, but I would've loved to be able to somehow pair using Riverside's app and get 4K footage that uploads from the phone while being able to see the picture on the person's screen. As I was looking, it seems like this feature is available for the host but not for participants.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside fills a gap in online recording for formal purposes that Zoom or Google Meet can't beat. Remote interviews have become incredibly important to our program, and creating content that's high quality for a limited budget is always a challenge, but Riverside made it possible for us to conduct 10 interviews in a week, get great footage, and make quick work of some of the initial editing process.
Highly recommended for Podcasters

What do you dislike about the product?
Things they can improve in (I am pretty sure the team will solve the issue in a couple of days):
- Screen freezes sometimes during the live call. Locally recorded files are great but it would be better if we can have a better live call experience with the guest. It is important to see their expressions. It isn't much fun if the screen is frozen or pixelated. I suggest you can begin the Local file upload after the call and not at the same time so it's earlier on the internet bandwidth.
- Audio video sync issue with recent updates. They gave me a refund though for last month.
- AI layout can improve further in accuracy.
- I would like to have the option to download the uncompressed exported clips post-editing.
- It will be great if they can integrate Davinci Resolve just like they do for Premier Pro and Dscript.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of Remote Podcast Recording is very well solved by Riverside.fm.
Riverside.fm helps us record great podcasts!
What do you like best about the product?
I like many things about Riverside.fm; my first thought is the ability to record quality video using my iPhone. But the best feature is how it records in HD in the background while maintaining your video call.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd struggle to name something really. I don't like how it doesn't work in Safari.

Using Riverside for New Podcast
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is very easy to use and intuitive. The edit/transcription function makes it easy to find the clip you are looking for. The ability to download each person's audio is a game-changer, especially when 1 or more guests has sound quality issues like background noise.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I dislike yet. Some features I would love to see in the future: advanced editing capability, the ability to use video backgrounds seamlessly, and full integration with podcast distribution services like Buzzsprout, so that it is truly a one-stop shop for podcast producing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a low-cost, easy-to-use podcast recording platform for a new show I am hosting. As a new podcaster myself, Riverside checked all the boxes.
Best podcast application
What do you like best about the product?
Great product, use it to interview clients x
By far the best on the market as it gets rid of network issues via local recording and records audio to multiple tracks

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Riverside is exactly as it should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run social media accounts for my clients and need a way to get high quality interview footage of them. Riverside has enabled me to do this.
The best tool of all!
What do you like best about the product?
As a beginner in podcasting, I needed a tool that would allow me to have my own virtual recording studio. It works for both visual and audio-only podcasts. The platform is very intuitive and I can do everything I need in one place. I have recommended Riverside to my journalism students, professors, and people who produce their own podcasts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the editing feature has some areas for improvement, so it may be easier to edit multiple files at once. I use Hindenburg for some edits. If Riverside could help make editing less time-consuming, I'd keep this as my only go-to platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have the equipment or recording studio that other content creators have, so I needed a platform that would help me produce high-quality audio from the comfort of my home. Guests like Riverside because it is easy to use.
Using Riverside.fm has been essential in launching my podcast
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is sto use and how convenient it is. I use Riverside.fm for all of my virtual recordings. I find it more useful and higher quality than other platforms I've used before such as zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on the internet or the website, sometimes it lags or takes a while before the final recording is processed. It can also be a bit pricey if you don't use it often. I record once a week so it makes sense for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making it easy for me to record for my podcast with guests that are not local in the area. It is also helping me edit things a lot more easily and providing me with the tools I need to create my podcast episodes.
Riverside hasn't failed me yet!
What do you like best about the product?
While Riverside may not be perfect, it's getting there, and I think it's the best out there, at least for a reasonable price. It has so far produced the best quality with the most reliable results for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike, just minor quibbles and features I'd request. My chiefest complaint had to do with the unreliability of the transcription aspect, but that's working pretty great now!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to record audio of storytellers in remote locations in an easy way using equipment they already have on hand. It's a huge timesaver and we can generate a whole lot more content then we ever had before.
Fully satisfied
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, intuative for guests and producers alike
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like an ability to export video titles into excel
