Probably the best podcasting tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
I'm working on my third podcast and using Riverside for the first time. What I love about the platform is the quality control. Sometimes the guest or I may have internet issues while in the middle of the podcast recording, and still, you get HD and 4K output when you download the episode. I'm also impressed at how clear the audio is and how my guests find it a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are glitches with the primary videos sometimes, but having the backup recordings help. One area I truly struggle with Riverside is sharing access with my editor to download the files. I hope they make the downloadble episode files shareable as well, like G drive share links.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often stress a lot about audio quality, and with Riverside it gives me immense comfort to see the studio-quality audio.
Way better than Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
I use Riverside to record my podcast interviews, and I love how the recording doesn't flip back and forth between speakers, which is so distracting for the viewer. Plus, I can download each track separately for both video and audio only, which makes post-production a breeze. It's also a bonus to have the complete transcript produced instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the audio is off-kilter from the video. Sometimes the audio quality is muffled. During recording, sometimes the video is distorted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had the issue of Zoom recording flipping between speakers, which is distracting to the viewer. I can now more easily put together a professional video clip that's more easily editable and looks and sounds great.
Easy to use, great features, fast customer support
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use and is great for recording with multiple people in different locations. The audio recording quality is high and the ability to export in different formats is very beneficial when editing. Especially when you need download separate tracks for editing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The FREE version of Riverside had a few kinks that limited my ability to download separate tracks and I had some corrupted files. Customer support was very helpful in helping me with the corrupted files in a fast and efficient manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside provides a stable platform for meetings and recordings for multiple people across different states. This platform made it easy and efficient and is not ridden with technical errors I have experienced with other platforms.
Riverside is a game Changer!
What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to create multiple versions of my podcast using Riverside. I can easily export to Riverside, Twitter, Linkedin, Etc. With just a couple keystrokes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer if Riverside allowed me to download directly from their website all of the time instead of having to receive a separate email notification. I would also prefer it if it was easier to link completed videos to my social media, instead of being limited to live streaming only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving my content creation problems.
An upgrade from Zoom for Video Podcasting
What do you like best about the product?
I mean - this software makes it easy to record guests interviews at insanely high quality!!! I love the quality of the footage that is captured. It's also very intuitive and easy to navigate around. It's been easy for me and my guests to configure settings and make sure everything is correct prior to recording.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ironically, it's also one of the benefits - but the flip side. So Riverside is great about capturing high-fidelity audio and video even if that quality isn't visibly rendering to the live participants. This is awesome in the one sense that you know you will get a great recording, but can be challenging live if either your connection or your guests isn't great. Meaning, it will capture great footage but in the moment you might miss some of the words from your guests or have a choppy experience. ***I've interviewed 8 guests already and this only happened on one occasion for a brief moment.***
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to video podcast with guests and capture insanely great video and audio quality at a much more affordable option than Zoom. They make high quality recording financially available to companies that otherwise might not be able to afford it.

It's so easy to use. I was able to be up and running on my first time.

Wonderful podcasting tool
What do you like best about the product?
I'm currently working on my fifth podcast, and this is the first time I'm using Riverside to do it. I'm so impressed at how clear the audio is, how level each audio track is, and by the way I feel so secure in knowing that my audio files are there. It's so easy to use, guests find coming on a breeze, and I love being able to keep track of all my recordings in one easy spot but also split things up by podcast.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Riverside had more of an all-in-one level of service, in that I wish I could pay for a service that included podcast hosting and distribution in addition to recording.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside makes it really easy to gather people for a podcast, record it, and keep the audio files in a safe location. I used to have to record on my computer, do sound tests, etc. I don't have to worry about that anymore.
Riverside Is Awesome!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the high quality content and podcasts I can record with amazing people on Riverside. Even when signal is not great, I know Riverside will keep the videos at a really high level
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing bad to say about Riverside.fm at the moment. All the small issues have been fixed and doesn't effect my experience using the platform at the moment. Great service
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to worry about the quality of my podcasts, content and videos using riverside which includes the raw videos and audio. This means that I can schedule guests on without worry!
The best platform for podcasts and video interviews!!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the platfrom that Riverside.fm has put together. It allows you a professional setting in which to conduct your interviews, you can discreetly mark clips so that when you are editing you know where something important was said, you can download just the Audio file, the combined video files or just one individual depending on your needs. Additionally, being able to create content on the platform saves time and that hassle of having to transfer the video to a different platform. Finally, the quality of the files that are output are second to none. There are no reliability issues (as with Zoom) and it truly is a platform designed for recording and sharing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I have to mention about Riverside.fm is that the live recording quality isn't great and that takes some getting used to. Soemtimes, you'll be on an interview and the guest will be blurry but the output is perfectly clear. It isn't a big deal once you are used to it but it can be a little worrying when you first get started.

Riverside.fm has provided me with a professional and high-quality recording platform for my podcast interviews and video recording content. It also allows me to create content within the same platform, saving me from having to transfer my files to a different site to achieve the same purpose.
