Riverside.fm is simply FANTASTIC
What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of video recording and broadcasting platforms now...and they all have so many distractions...Riverside.fm has effectively removed many unnecessary gimmicks and increased the quality of valuable services (like High-Quality recordings). The platform makes editing much easier, and it feels more like a personal conversation than some conversations I have on other systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
A downside that could be improved is the option to incorporate a window-in-window feature that allows one to move the window displaying the other party anywhere they want within the screen. This could help because it would allow the listener to look at the speaker without having to look too far away from their webcam.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need a high quality recording for remote podcasting and video creating with my business partner and other guests. This platform is eliminating my need for multiple tools...gets everything in one system/tool.
Riverside Made Launching My New Business's Podcast Super Simple
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is incredibly intuitive, easy to share, easy to use, and has made the creation and launch of my new business podcast a seamless, smashing success.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's not always easy to see audio levels on the default setting, and we had to re-record some of the initial segments, we got the hang of it in no time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a place that my co-host and guests could gather to record, while seeing each other and creating easily downloadable file formats.
Saves me time avoids risk
What do you like best about the product?
As a video producer avoiding the pitfalls that come with recording zoom calls over spotty wifi is a huge issue for me. When I found riverside it solved all my problems. Before Riverside I was trying to instruct guests how to record their video and audio on their end so I could sync it up with my end's recording. Riverside removed all the margin for error from that process and speeds up my workflow considerably with allowing you to format your video into vertical 9x16 for posting snippets to social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still get interference in audio quality particularly when both me and my guest are talking at the same time. For instance if I chime in with "mm hmm" or "yep".. affirming what they're saying, it often will create digital noise and drown out what the other person is actually saying. I've tried multiple ways around this issue including working with both native raw audio files from each side and still having this problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
speeding up my podcast workflow and reducing the margin for error. I like the ability to record natively on either end so you don't get much wifi interference from the recording.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, with Riverside you don't need to be an audio engineer to start a podcast. Audio tracks are mixed and ready to go, and editing is also easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not have the additional video capabilities one might need for more complex edits. If they could add it so it eliminates the need for outside editing platforms, then it would be perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to use podcasting platform, limited or no video editing or audio mixing experience, smaller learning curve. Productivity increased, with easy to edit clips
The best online recording tool for podcasts and videos
What do you like best about the product?
I love how they keep innovating the product. One of my favorite features right now is being able to edit clips using the transcript. I can also download the clips in different sizes. The quality of the video and audio is one of the best! I was using Zoom before, and Riverside is 10x better.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the things I'd like to see is being able to zoom in on the timeline of the podcast recording. I feel like Riverside will eventually be the all-in-one platform to record, edit, and publish podcasts and videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside helps me record podcasts and videos in studio quality from anywhere. Not only that, but it makes it easy for me to create shareable clips and formats so it's easy for me to edit and publish my show.

What do you dislike about the product?
About the only downside is that it is not free, like Zoom. But the old adage "you get what you pay for" applies here as well. Also, it is a new "thing", so your guests are usually expecting Zoom or FaceTime for the interview. So you have to convince them of the benefits (i.e. the improved video quality and that it makes them look 20 lbs lighter), and then they are OK with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality of the recording: unfortunately, prior to Riverside, the quality of the connection to my guest would often impact the end result. Latency and slow connections often resulted in poor audio and skipping video. Riverside solves that problem. Also, they have sped up my editing process with their new editing procedures.
The best tool for recording and editing podcasts
What do you like best about the product?
This is an amazing recording and quality, plus their new feature is killing it when it comes to editing video from text. You can also create small videos with different sizes for different social media
What do you dislike about the product?
As far as I know, they do not have a team account. In order to record the podcast, I would like to invite my team to record it with our guests without sharing my username and password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside makes it easy to record podcasts with guests. Additionally, it makes it easy to make short videos from podcasts
Riverside Has Changed the Game for me
What do you like best about the product?
I think Riverside is really revolutionary; I love the seamless interface and emphasis on quality. The ability to have a studio and create multiple studios is just tops. The customer service at Riverside is unparalleled as compared to other software providers I have dealt with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would want Riverside to work onÏÍÍ is the ability to stream in full HD and also integrate to multiple social media platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its simplifying podcast recording and editing.Offering high-quality studio recording within a browser.
Unlocks marketing potential
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to hit the ground running and use the tool well. I love the ability to make multiple short clips from one podcast!
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the ability to make sure podcast guests get there invite and are ready to hop on the call is as user friendly as the rest of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am creating quality videos that I can edit and pull clips from for marketing. It benefits me because I can just go back to a video instead of having to clip it all up at once.
Makes my life as a producer much easier
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use for podcast guests who aren't used to recording, as well as the locally recorded audio/video which helps stop any glitchiness in the final recording.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have many complaints, however the mobile app could probably use a few more features such as mic selection. Overall though I'm very happy with the service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's an intuitive tool that removes a lot of the technical difficulties of recording remote podcasts. It's easy enough that anyone who has used zoom can likely figure it out, which is great when recording podcast guests who aren't accustomed to recording themselves.
