Riverside is the only way to podcast

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside.fm is a total game-changer for podcasters like me. It makes my podcasting life a breeze with its user-friendly interface, fast rendering, and direct publishing to Spotify. The platform's intuitive setup and clean UI make recording sessions simple for myself and my guests who don't need to download anything, eliminating technical hassles. I can focus on creating engaging content with ease.

The best part? Riverside.fm's quick rendering time saves me valuable editing hours. It swiftly processes audio and video files, allowing me to review and polish my episodes efficiently. The ability to effortlessly cut long-form content into shorter clips within the platform is fantastic. I can repurpose highlights and teasers for promotion, reaching wider audiences. Vertical video with just a few clicks? I'm sold.

And let's not forget the seamless integration with Spotify. With just a few clicks, I can publish my podcast episodes directly to Spotify, tapping into a dedicated and vast listener base.

I honestly wouldn't have started podcasting without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Any critiques or issues that I've had (and there have been maybe one or two) were 100% user errors. I had a trial version to test it out for a week or so, then jumped in when my first few episodes were WAYY too easy to record, edit, repurpose and publish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of use is a huge hurdle for someone looking to get into podcasting, webinars, streaming or anything related to video. I know how to edit on premiere, and I have an audio engineering background. But I have no time to deal with complicated things anymore, I need to log in, hit a few buttons, have my guest click a link, and hit RECORD and for it to just work.

When it comes to editing, riverside makes life easy inside the app. The video and audio quality are hugely important as well, and riverside shines with WAV files and 4k video. Its solving my recording, editing, repurposing and publishing problems ALL IN ONE!

What do you like best about the product?
the ability to use it solo or to incorporate a producer/editor for your recordings. Additionally, having a waiting area for guests just makes it feel and look more professional I think. And their technology recognizes not all internet connections are the same and that's taken into account on your recordings so the finished product all looks and sounds balanced. Very important!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'll let you know if and when I find any. sorry to disappoint but so far the experience has been very good. I mean I guess if they could edit/produce and distribute for you that would be really awesome, but I guess they've got other things to focus on! :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Still in the early stages of use with the Platform, but have been impressed so far on response time with a few questions. and the ease of use is key for me.

Riverside- Great experience

What do you like best about the product?
I have been a user of Riverside for more than two years now. It's simple, easy to set up and start. More importantly, the product/platform enhancements have ensured it gets better and updated regularly. Also, another critical factor is customer support which is quick and responsive when you need some quick resolution or help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, don't see too many downsides.

Can it be expanded for other browsers, as I am more of a Safari user? But that may have to do with the walled gardens of different big-tech companies. Not sure.

Also, generating better and more accurate transcripts for broader geographies other than the US may be considered as pronunciation and speech conversion could be improved. But, I see that more as enhancements and continuous improvement of the product's NLP/AI algorithms, which is bound to happen as they add more and more upgrades to the current product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run a podcast primarily online across countries. We need high-quality recordings - both video and audio, and the output it generates is phenomenal, and other platforms are not good enough.

With the new editing and transcript features, it just has become a single go-to-platform for us.

Practical and high quality

What do you like best about the product?
It is really nice, to have a website to record with more people with high-quality video and it is really interesting that it records the audio separately. Also their integrations to descript and adobe premiere
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to edit better online because I could post from riverside.fm platform but it will be helpful to add the intro and outro to the video editor online because it´s really messy to download it and upload it again online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am leaving far from the people I'm recording with, this app helps me to record my episodes with high-quality video and audio. And it´s pretty awsome to have the transcript.

Perfect Tool For Creating High Impact, Low Effort Content

  • July 06, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Plain and simple:

1. Your guest having a slow internet connection is no longer going to ruin your end product. No more trying to figure out how to edit conversations for dropped/laggy audio. No more going back and asking guests to re-record.

2. High-quality audio/video gives your editor much more to work with when getting creative in post.

3. Sharing files with editors is simple

4. Categorizing content by series makes finding/sharing simple
What do you dislike about the product?
When someone does have slow internet you just need to let them know to not close the browser window until it's done uploading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're creating a "media company" here at Lavender in the true sense of the word: a Netflix-like experience. When people come onto LavenderLand they will see series shot in studio with full production teams right next to series that were shot remotely. The audience comes to expect a certain level of quality when they enter any platform: TikTok you expect to see phone-quality vertical video. LinkedIn, you expect to see low-quality, grainy Zoom videos. Netflix, you expect to see cinema-quality video. We want to be as close to that Netflix experience as possible when people come to LavenderLand, but we don't jump right into high-production series. We first have to prove the concept of the show as low effort and low-cost as possible. We do this by using Riverside.

Riverside makes it easy for anyone to podcast!

  • July 06, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I consider myself pretty comfortable with tech, but intimidated as hell with all the equipment required to record a decent sounding podcast... until I found Riverside. Now it's just me, my Yeti mic, and Riverside busting out content with ease!
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, I didn't think it was as easy as it really is. I tried to overcomplicate the process. The training videos from Riverside eliminated this issue and now it's smooth sailing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside has lowered the barrier to entry for recording my podcast and hosting guests. It's eliminating my excuses for delaying and I'm excited to go into the studio and make magic.

My magic carpet to podcasting.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy UX and simple instructions. Raising the bar with platform recordings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can say so far! Let's stay in touch and grow together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easier way of understanding the downloading process and also clear indications when the video is uploading and sometimes gets blurred (not related to wi-fi connection).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recording locally -> eases post production.

Riverside is an amazing podcasting tool!

  • July 05, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Riverside records from both sides so it doesn't matter if there's a loud noise in one room, or if one person's internet goes bad while the other person is talking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that they're coming up with some new editing tools that would be helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is so much better than recording podcasts on Zoom because it records from both sides! This saves me lots of podcast editing time.
