What do you like best about the product?
It's user-friendly and easy to use as a beginner which I am. The quality of the video is much better than other options when you're doing virtual Zoom-like podcasts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing serious, you just have to tell your guest to wait to exit their browser to make sure their video uploads correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High quality video production, low stress to use.

Almost Perfect!

What do you like best about the product?
When I began podcasting, I used a product that ruined more than one episode due to network dropouts. When a colleague told me about Riverside.fm, I was skeptical. But they have a free trial, and after recording only one episode, I knew I needed it. Separate tracks per podcast guest allows me to apply different processing to each voice, and separate video clips allows me to cut back and forth as necessary. I have become my own Executive Producer and Director!

Because Riverside.fm is all browser-based, I no longer use any other product for video conferencing. Even the mobile apps work amazingly well. I very highly recommend Riverside.fm for podcasters and anybody who needs to record high-quality audio and video over the internet.
What do you dislike about the product?
My one gripe about Riverside.fm is the inability to cut among multiple guests as they speak. I had grown used to that with other products, and I miss it. When recording, I still look at myself as half the screen.

To be clear, there is a button to click to maximize one guest...but you have to click manually among guests to maximize each as they speak. It's a minor gripe - certainly not enough pain to go back to a product that spotlights the speaker, but cuts off what is being said!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I record a podcast, and Riverside.fm is invaluable for that. But I also record videos to a group of people, and Riverside.fm works really well to record my audio and video as well as screen captures. Riverside.fm's major superpower is being able to split each guest in a recording into separate tracks. My ability to perform post-production on audio and video is a lifesaver!

I've also used Riverside.fm to combine and process tracks, although I only used that feature once. The functionality worked well, although I can apply noise gates and compressors on my own and get similar or better results. That said, I've used recording hardware and software since the 1990s.

What do you dislike about the product?

What do you like best about the product?
Product-wise, it's easy to use, navigate and learn the ropes of updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a small bump one time during the recording but I feel it was my PC memory to blame the glitches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to create content for SMM without having to deal with outside video editors (almost)

The best choice for recording podcasts

  • July 29, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
* The recording will never fail.
* Even guests unfamiliar with podcast recording can start immediately as long as the hardware preparation is complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
* The accuracy of transcriptions from Japanese audio is still lacking.
* The concept of the 'studio' is slightly confusing, making it difficult to understand which URL should be sent to the guest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm simplifies my weekly podcast recordings. Before using Riverside.fm, I used to record Discord calls in each member's local environment, which always carries the risk of recording failure. With Riverside.fm, recording failures are almost non-existent.

What do you like best about the product?
It's ability to let me record high quality interviews and still run webinar-like events. This will make my dream of doing live call-ins possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
What's there to dislike? I'm yet to see anything that bothers me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recording high quality interviews and webinars.

Fantastic Platform for Recording Remotely

  • July 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use riversidefm for recording podcast and virtual filming with clients. The quality that you get out of a virtual recording is the best I have seen on the market and even some less tech savy clients can use it.

I really like their backup feature too as it makes it very user friendly in not losing recording data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything on the riverside platform that I have disliked yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to use it to interview clients and guests and it is serving that purpose well. It's made the ease of recording a podcast quite easy.
