Reliable and Fast File Transfers at Enterprise Scale
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about IBM Aspera on Cloud is how seamlessly it handles large file transfers during our software development cycles. Whether it's pushing massive build artifacts, datasets for testing, or sharing containers across teams, Aspera ensures we never lose time waiting on slow uploads or downloads. The integration options via API are also developer-friendly, and the platform’s security features give us peace of mind when collaborating across multiple regions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the performance is excellent, the initial learning curve can be a bit steep especially for team members without a background in enterprise file transfer systems. The documentation is thorough but could be more beginner-friendly in certain areas. Additionally, pricing can become a concern for smaller development teams or startups, particularly when handling high volumes of data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the challenge of transferring large codebases, builds, and test datasets quickly and securely between our distributed development teams. Traditional file transfer methods often caused delays, especially when dealing with large CI/CD pipelines or versioned binaries. Aspera’s high-speed transfer protocol and global accessibility have significantly reduced wait times and boosted our productivity. It’s also helped streamline collaboration between our QA, DevOps, and engineering teams by removing bottlenecks in our development workflow.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to navigate even without any formal training on this program I can find my way around fairly easily. All commands are understandable, and helpful for anytime I get stuck.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would says the only thing is there's a lot of steps, If there was way to simplify the functions that would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplifying function would save time and would have less probability of errors in work orders, P.O.s, ect.
I have used it due to my experience in Cloud Technologies.
What do you like best about the product?
I think the FASP technology gives a better edge over ftp which I really like.

Lightning-fast file transfers with enterprise-grade accuracy
What do you like best about the product?
What impressed me the most about Aspera on Cloud is just how fast it is when it comes to transferring large files.
I'm talking GBs in minutes, something traditional file, sharing tools can't even come close to.
It’s also highly secure and dependable, which makes it perfect for projects involving sensitive or large-scale data.
We used it across teams, and the fact that it seamlessly integrates with our cloud storages like AWS S3 and IBM Cloud Object Storage which made it even better.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Aspera delivers on performance, the user interface could really use a modern update.
It’s not exactly easy for first-time users, there’s a bit of a learning curve, especially if you're used to more visual platforms like Dropbox or Google Drive.
Plus, the pricing might feel a little steep for small teams or startups unless there's a very specific use case.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team frequently deals with massive datasets, like it’s video files, design assets and analytics exports.
Old file transfer methods were not only slow but also unreliable when network issues popped up. But Aspera makes transferring large files across continents feel effortless and fast, without worrying about timeouts, failed uploads, or manual retries.
It has saved us heck lot of hours and helped us meet deadlines, especially while working with international clients.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has boosted our utility of FTP by providing a catalyst to guarantee effecient file transfer over longer distances, poor connection or higher than normal latency.
