Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

This listing uses annual contract tiers plus usage add-ons. The base plans are Essentials (1TB), Standard Plus (6TB), and Premium (30TB), each including a set storage and egress allowance. You pick one plan based on your yearly transfer volume. Each plan also has matching add-ons for extra storage and extra egress when you exceed the included amounts. Premium adds a transmitted overage charge per GB. Several older tiers remain listed but are marked deprecated: Advanced (6TB), Enterprise (60TB), and their storage and egress add-ons. Choose a current plan, then scale with add-ons as needs grow.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Storage measures the total data you keep with Aspera per month, counted in terabytes. Egress measures data transferred out of cloud storage per year, also in terabytes. Essentials includes 1TB storage with 10TB egress. Standard Plus includes 10TB storage with 100TB egress. Each plan meters these separately.
Each plan has matching add-ons for that overage. When you pass your included storage, Additional Storage units apply. When you pass your included egress, Additional Egress units apply. Premium also charges a Premium Transmitted Overage per GB for transmitted data beyond its allowance. These add-ons bill on top of your base plan.
Your base plan fee is fixed for its included storage and egress. Add-on charges accrue only on the amounts you exceed. They add to, not replace, the base fee. For Premium, the per-GB transmitted overage also adds separately. All applicable charges appear together on the same invoice.

What do you like best about the product?
Movement of large dumps we needed to transfer to our clients over cloud and it's very fast in doing so

Sometimes network slows down because of aggressive bandwidth usages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily our clients need to perform certain software testing for which we working in Bengaluru location needs to send huge files basically database dumps and Aspera helps for same. Also it's secure which is complying EU compliance

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fast and reliable file transfer capabilities of IBM Aspera on Cloud, which help in transferring large files efficiently without relying on traditional methods. It's particularly useful when speed, reliability, and secure data movement are important. The interface is fairly easy to understand, making it easier to share and manage large amounts of data across different locations and environments. I also appreciate that it provides security without having to worry too much about transfer speed or file size. These features make working with large amounts of data much easier and more efficient while saving time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features and settings can take a little time to understand, especially for someone using the platform for the first time. Simpler documentation and tutorials could make it easier to get started. Understanding where to configure transfer options, manage permissions, and track the status of transfers can take some time. A more streamlined interface with clearer labels and a simple step-by-step flow could make it easier to use. The user experience and navigation could also be improved.

What do you like best about the product?
I find IBM Aspera on Cloud incredibly easy to use, needing minimal understanding, which I really appreciate. The file transfer tool is the feature I liked the most, as everything worked very well. The elimination of maintaining infrastructure is another significant advantage for me. Setting it up was very easy, and I didn't need much understanding to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the file transfer tool could increase the speed of transfer. That would really help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use IBM Aspera on Cloud to deploy my application, solving my infrastructure maintenance problem effortlessly. It's easy to use, with minimal understanding needed, and the file transfer tool is really valuable.

What do you like best about the product?
My experience has been positive. The biggest advantage for me is the transfer speed and reliability.... There is a bit of a learning curve initially, but after getting familiar with it, the platform is quite convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and some of the options can feel confusing at first, especially if you haven't used this type of file transfer platform before.. I think some parts of the interface and documentation could be simplified for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with transferring large files efficiently without spending a lot of time waiting for uploads or downloads. This is particularly useful when working with large amounts of data or sharing files between different locations. It makes the overall transfer process faster and more manageable......

What do you like best about the product?
The actual requirement of latency was something to be noted. Coding with this made such easiness. Other than that, its intelligence is better to integrate as such I am doing any tutorial.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am just thinking of the support team this has. IBM has to work on this getting back to the support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So we have a particular dataset for hardware security and so IBM Aspera solves them with latency and to have good integration to other platforms to fetch easier. At this price, it is really good!
