Making Life Easier in Short (Literally)

What do you like best about the product?
The best way is to describe Solarwinds NPM is like a present like you unwrap it and find the goodies inside. NPM also either when you are setting it up or doing a drill down analysis you get everything and everything you need to to
What do you dislike about the product?
Its to customize-able and yo get lost initially of what you have to setup and and for me it was alot of manual work, i would like more automation especially when it comes to alerting, alot of the common alerts so be setup already. MIB's is the biggest pain for me as well like why cant i be easier to work with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used have to go to every device to see what the issue was now we have a big overall picture of the network and you can find the root of the issues very quickly and efficiently,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you watch the training videos it will really help you out and Thwack is best when you need them!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the why you can dig in and find an issue. It has been a big help with customer network slow downs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some time I do get lost but that might just be me. I manage the group so I'm not always in it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer slowness is our biggest issues.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the way this product is evolving... I have been using NPM from more than 3 years now and from the time I started using and what it has reached now, is just commendable... the dashboards, widgets, different views, small small features like mute alerts, creating icons etc are few which I would like to call out here..
What do you dislike about the product?
not much in this section for now.. I would like to see how it catches up with drastic changes that are happening in the network area like new technology launches from different top network vendors like Cisco.. Also would like to see how SW-WAN will be accommodated in monitoring....
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
well, it gives different options.. right from low level to high level like using Netpath which enables the team to know exact pain point and not waste time.. if a customer is only initiated in basic monitoring then that's also available without much effort...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest to definitely go for this product.. you have option to evaluate and see of yourself..
coming to comparison with prod, u will get help from support on this as well and they will make sure you get what you are trying to reach for...

Excellent way to view and correlate bandwidth and data

What do you like best about the product?
The single view that can show everything thats going on in our network.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike having to wait at least thirty minute to get a technical support agent during regular hours
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an ISP, we use network performance monitor to correlate information between our core devices and our customers. It allows anyone with access to view topology of a customer and escalate issues accordingly.

What do you like best about the product?
Network Insight for ASA, Netpath, Perfstack, Windows and Linux Agents, support for wireless controllers... there are so many features packed into NPM. We are able to quickly and efficiently diagnose network performance issues across our entire environment. The development cycle for NPM is also very active, they are constantly working on new features.

The Thwack community is also an amazing asset to owning a SolarWinds product, there are thousands of users there discussing ideas, issues, and IT topics in general.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some parts of the UI could use reworking and can be cumbersome for creating groups and dependencies for a large number of remote networks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to scale our environment accurately by using baselines collected in NPM. Performance issues can be easily found and alerted on, reducing downtime and improving user experience.

Solarwinds Voip & Network Manager my review

What do you like best about the product?
I use this product for a while, in my Cisco's voip infrastructure. What I most like about it was the possibility to create a different types of graphics and tables with many kind of devices, alerts, views and troubleshooting tools. Is it really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular, the product has everithing needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to monitor my operations with voice gateways/T1 and I found this product very helpful about that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend that tool if you are a Cisco's CUCM administrator.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the dashboards are easy to read and give you the information that you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring and getting everything the way you want it, takes awhile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have a managed service watch this, but now that we have taken it in house, we are able to see much more information than they provided.

What do you like best about the product?
NPM allows us to monitor our network and resolve issues sometimes before our users even detect a problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need to manual load balancing of pollers. It would be nice to able to have one virtual poller and have all the individual pollers automatically balanced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Network Monitoring, tool to help obtain root cause, and determine if an issue is resolved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the thwack message boards frequently.
