Wide range of solutions provided by Solarwinds
What do you like best about the product?
DBAs who use Solarwinds DPM tend to be pleased with the product. It offers a wide range of features and can be used to monitor a variety of different database types, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL. The software is also generally well-regarded for its ease of use and intuitive interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
DPM does have some limitations and might not be the best fit for every organization.

Excellent for network monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Separate graphs about the bandwidth consumption and neat and clean gui and graphs for performance analysis and network monitoring. Also able to make bandwidth optimization easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall it is better but the price should be lower for smaller businesses. For large scale models it's good but for smaller businesses dark trace vectra would be good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I didn't encounter any problems while using it except for creating topologies in solar winds. I feel like creating topologies should be made even more easier for fresh users.

What do you like best about the product?
The detailed dashboard shows almost all the necessary details and parameters of endpoints, including applications ports and source and destination IPs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing costs should be minimized, and there should be some free versions with fewer sensors to analyze the software for purchasing decisions properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best benefit for me is to catch the culprit stealing the maximum bandwidth or any user creating unnecessary traffic, causing network degradation.

Gives me insight to isolate the excessive traffic unitization or unexpected traffic and work on it to fix the issue thats choking the network

To be honest nothing that i dislike abt the tool but it requires a beefy machine to run on it smoothly

Excellent performance monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
Details analysis report. You can easily understand what is negative point in your network and will help you to mitigate those drawback from the netwotk. Great tool to get your network utilization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires too much resources available on the hosting server. Some time takes long hours to produce the results. These must be lite version of it to run on any system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Network consation. We are unable to identify our network slowness. By introducing it we understand the reason behind slowness. It also helped to reduce the unused bandwidth available from the ISP and we we're paying.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is the way it captures alarms and then it analyzes it based on the specific type of traffic and then we can drill down it based on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we need to analyze data based on specific events, and sometimes events are on the previous year; it's like comparing today's date with the same date last year to analyze the trend. I wish SolarWinds include this functionality in future software versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time network monitoring, and in the case of IoT devices, it's like 10000 devices simultaneously sending data which was impossible without using solarwinds.
