Easy to use and flexible platform
What do you like best about the product?
Workflow functionality is great, there are many different to trigger a workflow and update user profile data with a few clicks. I like their segmentation tool as well, there are many options to segment and you can see how many users are in the audience and get a detailed list of each. And customer support is pretty good too, they usually answer very quickly with a comprehensive solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to troubleshoot data feed errors and sparkpost errors, as there is no error log in the UI and only support has access to it. There are also some limitations with catalog collections builder, but it's a great tool as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we migrated to iterable, we were using Mailchimp/Mandrill, which is really limited in functionality so most of our marketing automation was set up and controlled by our engineering team. Iterable puts the marketer in control, once the technical integration is complete, and makes implementing, testing and optimizing campaigns and journeys much easier and faster.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Iterable is a great tool for email and really easy to learn and use.
Best email service provider!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of the platform and the expertise and service from the employees. They've really expanded what the platform can do over time and are highly responsive to feature requests and bug reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of anything I dislike. Though there are occasional bugs, they are often fixed or that part of the platform is improved in a timely manner. I will say as they've grown what the platform can do there have been more bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable has seriously helped us scale and personalize our drip campaigns and multiply our email revenue in less than a year. The WYSIWYG email builder is incredibly simple to use, has many features that other platforms do not, and the load/wait times are sooo much quicker than what I've experienced on other platforms. It even supports light photo editing (resizing, cropping, etc.) within the platform so less need to photoshop for quick and easy adjustments. Being able to do SMS fromt he same platform as email is also a big cost and effort saver.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't wait. Move to iterable and scale your email program with a professional, top-notch, easy-to-use platform supported by a knowledgable, professional, helpful, and kind team behind it.
Powerful Marketing Automation
What do you like best about the product?
Although Iterable is a very powerful marketing automation tool, it is relatively simple to use. The Iterable team is there every step of the way to ensure that you have a smooth implementation and that you are using the software to its full potential after implementation. I haven't encountered a kinder and more knowledgeable team than the Iterable team!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that would make Iterable even better would be a universal exit trigger for workflows so that you don't have to create the exit trigger/filter node repeatedly in the workflow builder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the email service provider that we used before Iterable, we were facing many limitations with the segmentation of our audience. We were truly unable to send the proper communications to the right segment of our audience. Now, we can segment our audience appropriately, set up multi-step workflows that are more sophisticated than previous marketing campaigns, and save hours each week.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you know that you aren't getting the most out of your current email service provider and aren't delivering the right message to the right segments, don't hesitate to switch to Iterable!
Using Iterable is one of the best decisions we've made
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable is easy to learn, fun to use, and makes my job easier. The support team and our rep are always available to help us troubleshoot and work through any problems we run in to. I also really love Iterable's segmentation tools - it is easy to use and enables us reach the right user at the right time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to come up with things I don't like. There are tools I'd like to see added but those would be nice-to-haves and are not necessarliy needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier to segment our audience. We don't have to run sql queries for each of our sends. Lifecycle campaigns are easy to implement and analyze. Where there's a will, there's a way with Iterable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking to take your marketing to the next level, Iterable is the ESP to help you. When we switched to Iterable, we were able to run our existing campaigns at scale and create and test new campaigns with ease. Our customer support representative is always available to troubleshoot and they look to us for ideas to make their product better. I highly recommend giving Iterable a shot.
Great idea to switch to Iterable!
What do you like best about the product?
It doesn't take a programmer to get the most out of Iterable. It's all very intuitive, yet powerful. They are constantly updating the product to make it better, and listen to user feedback. In most areas, it is the best ESP I have used, from design to workflows to lists and segmentation. Our engineers state they love the detailed documentation. We get proper attention from our account rep and everyone else at every step of the journey from demos to sale to onboarding. They employ a good crew over there.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have encountered a few bugs, nothing overly critical. We have had campaigns or workflows inexplicably revert to an older version before sending a couple times. I have a wishlist of improvements like a global exit criteria for workflows and the ability to make edits to live experiments, but in those cases they have a great forum for that where real Product employees are seeing these and taking them into account. Overall the cons of Iterable are vastly outweighed by the pros.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using Iterable only to manage our email program. We switched in November 2020 and immediately realized its benefits over our previous ESP. Virtually every imaginable task became quicker, easier, and more intuitive, from designing a campaign to forming an audience to building a complex workflow with many steps. The ability to work efficiently has helped our business grow.
Great product, even better team supporting and building out new features
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, smart team able to quickly support new experiences we set up
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of SMS support (e.g. send windows) and unclear dates for new feature support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable supports our entire email marketing experiences. We've seen an improvement in how we handle data through using Iterable and we've been able to easily scale thorugh their product.
great tool, amazing customer success team! dennis is superb!
What do you like best about the product?
my customer success rep, dennis, is great at letting us know about early beta releases and gives us a heads up on any email changes happening that would impact our business. also very responsive to follow ups.
What do you dislike about the product?
i wish the reporting suite was a bit better and tools were more flexible to our business needs (e.g. clicks heat map does not work for us due to our tagging structure).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are trying to optimize email campaigns and drive more efficiencies with each send. so far the platform is pretty easy and straight forward to use, which my team likes.
An improvement in time-management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that:
- You have all localized templates in the same template
- Snippets are easy to set up and makes your life easier
- Handlebars allows it to personalize the email content to reflect your consumers' preferences, etc..

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that:
- There is the need to add the time difference in a workflow for countries outside of the US
- There is the need to add the time difference in a workflow for countries outside of the US
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We tested out our abandoned cart email, and Iterable resolved some technical blockers so that we finally launched this recurring campaign.
Iterable is a stable cross channel platform which is a nice option for ecommerce.
What do you like best about the product?
The segmentation feature can wrap up audiences easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard of the automation page - I'd like to have all active projects displayed on the top by sorting out the condition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time by using automation journey to recur campaigns.
A great tool for building comprehensive customer journeys
What do you like best about the product?
I came across Iterable primarily as an email marketing tool, and I was really excited about it's ease-of-use for building multi-faceted customer journeys. It has an adaptive API and its a fairly user-friendly tool to add to your arsenal - especially compared to similar tools that offer integrated CRM/email marketing/automation capabilities. We also love how easy it is to search for and remove users - in my experience that can be complicated in other ESPs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's expensive, and can be cost prohibitive if you're a smaller organization. The pricing is fair, and makes sense, it just means a not-for-profit may not even have the resources to consider Iterable, even though Iterable could be a great way to build multi-channel journeys that are popular in nonprofits (but often very clunky). It also requires a fairly strong technical team to fully utilize its features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We love it's ease of use with building multi channel customer journeys. It's opened up completely new ways for us to connect with and anticipate customer needs/interests. So the biggested benefit to us are its user journeys, and the visibility it offers for those journeys.
