Powerful platform with thoughtful capability
What do you like best about the product?
The powerful ability to ingest a vast amount of data into the platform to segment users for the purpose of complex automation tasks. Insightful information on campaign performance, and intuitive email template building capabilities for anyone at any knowledge level.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside could be some of the technical knowledge required to onboard if you're working with complex user data, or complex requirements for user subscriptions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable allows us to build full automation journeys to effectively reach our prosepcts and customers — nurture sequences, cart abandonment, cross-sell/up-sell, voice of customer.
Email Production Associate
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly, for the most part, and fantastic customer service - shoutout to Michael Ramirez who has been amazing/has gone above and beyond.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain feature issues (like email clipping, jump-to links not working with email clipping). Although I believe the user experience is relatively good, I've heard from people that have used other platforms that it could be better.
The drag + drop editor creates extremely heavy emails in terms of email weight.
The drag + drop editor creates extremely heavy emails in terms of email weight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building email is really simple with the drag + drop editor, however, it creates a very heavy email in terms of email weight, which limits us in terms of the quality of email we want to produce.
Love Iterable as an ESP
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of reviewing each campaign from the Messaging page and then having the ability to double-click to understand more data about a specific campaign. I also appreciate the heatmap as we are able to see which types of content in the email resonated most with our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The confusing jargon that we need to use to create segmentations can be improved. For example, "is on or after" is a very confusing term. I think this needs to be rethought to make it easier for users. I need to utilize a diagram that one of your technical CSM uses for me to make sure I am targeting the appropriate group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are looking to target dozens of different creator segments with different types of messaging. Iterable is able to help us reach the audiences we need with the ease of a pretty straightforward platform.
Technology and support are lacking
What do you like best about the product?
The drag and drop email builder is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frequent slowness/outages/UI bugs. Automated journeys lack sophisticated features. Data limitations. OOTB functionality is very basic. Hard to get ahold of our rep, gives the run around, goes out of office and doesn't leave backup contacts for support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
N/A
Intuitive user interface, solid customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Overall iterable has served us well at Hipcamp. Previously I've used Braze, Mailchimp and Hubspot and Iterable was very easy to pick up. Additionally Mike our account manager has been awesome! Very responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a marketer I wish I was more autonomous with things like setting up custom events. It'd also be great to have machine learning pick the best comms to send to users and when, though sounds like y'all are moving in that direction after hearing from your SVP, Product. Also creatively, there are often blockers with fonts, dark mode etc-- so better optimizing creative for the users domain would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's an extension of the product for things like trip communications, cancellations, modifications etc.
Introduces our new users to the product, inspires them to book, and brings them back again. Drives substantial growth!

Solid software, works well for what we need
What do you like best about the product?
Their mission and people are very helping in resolving issues
What do you dislike about the product?
They've had a few outages this year that wasn't helping our business
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SMS and email
automation platform that businesses to deliver personalized & engaging experiences to customers
What do you like best about the product?
Offers omnichannle marketing, robust intergration and flexible API capabilities, great technical support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Handlebars used for personalization are not robust enough compared to competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
centralized customer data, multi-channel reach, data driven insights into customers.
Good Not Great
What do you like best about the product?
Really like being able to automatically port audiences in FB Audience Manager which helps us keep messaging constant based on the part of the funnel they are in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting. You can only view reports based on when events happend and are unable to switch to when emails were sent. If you want to see the performance of certain emails over a longer period of time and you have had an account for awhile you may so hundreds of emails show up before the 5 you want to look at. Really need to have a naming convention and tagging strategy in place. It is pretty time consuming to create a report or any visualization compared to other types of platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to personalize how we communicate with our prospective buyers and current customers. Their A/B test functionality is great if we want to dive into rentention metrics and see how we can increase our LTV.
Powerful when it works
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of flexibility and ways to build automated communications journeys, with customizations to fit your business needs. There's catalogs, or using the data fields that exist in Iterable, you can create customized data fields, integrate it with Salesforce etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Native reports are terrible; very hard to extract insights and meaningful data. Wish you could filter by client ID and grab engagement data by client, by other measures etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great tool for marketing automation in email and SMS, very helpful to send large volumes of emails at once based on certain criteria about your audience, without manually filtering the audience list first.
Good Product, Good Partner
What do you like best about the product?
Nice flexible data model. Ability to do SDK-less mobile messaging. They have helpful support and their product features and launches all make a ton of sense. They enable use to have a single solution for our B2C business and we have been happy customers for over 4 years. Fair pricing, good support, and generally capable and good people across the board, from their leadership, sales, and customer success.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve for developing automations but frankly, it all is intuitive and makes sense. More partners and additional Zapier integrations/workflows would be helpful. Reporting is probably the biggest weakness right now. Worth reviewing to see how it suits your needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enables us to have a single solution rather than point solutions across touchpoints. I love this about them. Unified customer journeys and the ability to have access to powerful tools and more AI is really great.
