Excellent for Marketing with Robust Customer Support

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Iterable's team and their positive attitude towards the customer. They constantly invest in the product and listen to customer feedback. I've been using Iterable for over 5 years, and it's amazing to see how the platform has evolved tremendously. The initial setup was fairly easy, especially since it was my second time migrating to Iterable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes encounter bugs in analytics. There are discrepancies in historical data that can't always be justified by changes in user behavior or database adjustments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Iterable for email and SMS marketing, which helps me send out campaigns in an advanced and efficient way.

Effortless Email Campaigns with Minimal Engineering

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use in Iterable, especially the fact that changes can be made by non-engineers. Previously, we used legacy systems where any email content changes required engineering effort, but now I can easily change the content without any engineering time. Maintaining an individual customer record also works well, enabling the Ops team to self-serve tracking when needed. The initial setup of Iterable was relatively easy and much simpler compared to setting anything up in Talend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the problems we've encountered with Iterable are more due to our implementation rather than an Iterable defect. We could possibly have had more support during onboarding to prevent developing bugs. We're now more up to speed with the tool and considering completely wiping data from the tool and starting again with the knowledge we've gained. It would have been helpful to go through our use cases and receive recommendations. We have a hybrid identifier project but think we should have gone with user ID. I don't think we understood the full implications when that decision was made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily change the content of emails without involving engineers, saving time and resources. Non-engineers can make changes, and maintaining individual customer records helps our Ops team track information independently.

Efficient Communication, Needs Better Clarity on Changes

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that with Iterable, you can immediately see how the content will look when you modify certain text and fields. It's also easy to track how many of each notification is sent over time and the open rate. It saves time by making the data easily available and allows for some changes to be more self-serve.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not always clear what the impact of changes to names of items (campaigns, journeys etc) will be. If I change the name of this journey in Iterable, it's unclear if it will break my integration or if I will need to make the same changes in my integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable lets me see outgoing communications, edit content directly, and preview changes instantly. It provides easy access to notification metrics, saving time and facilitating self-service changes.

Great Support Team, But Feature Limitations Hold It Back

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The team and technical support are helpful and quick to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's limited compared to an enterprise ESP, with a lot of features requiring third party software providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to communicate to our customers effectively, with relative ease.

Supercharges Our Marketing Campaigns with Ease

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Iterable easy to use, which makes training new people straightforward and helps reduce errors. This ease of use empowers marketers to be more creative, allowing them to try new things and execute campaigns faster, enabling us to send more emails and have a greater impact in less time. I appreciate Iterable's strong customer support, which I find critical for receiving help, answers, and fixes promptly, enhancing speed and quality of service. The frequent updates are a positive aspect as they provide new features to try and keep the platform from getting stale. I really like their AI-forward roadmap, which includes predictive goals and AI journey building, making a marketer's job easier and the marketing more effective. Having these capabilities built into Iterable allows for faster speed-to-market compared to relying on data science or engineering teams for similar capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the pricing model a bit confusing and often feel like we're being 'nickel and dimed.' Even as a larger enterprise account, we have limitations like the number of people that can engage with a customer support Slack channel, which required us to pay extra for additional seats. This type of pricing model is annoying and hinders deeper adoption. Some features, like Catalog, are priced based on a percentage of email sends, which isn't ideal for businesses with few use cases or those wanting to start small. Our account team has also been unclear about in-app messages and if there's a price associated. It's been hard to launch small tests for new features without a contract commitment. I'd also like more flexible dashboards for reporting, as the current ones are too templatized. It would be great to see reports by unique conversion events rather than having them all mixed together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable offers cross-channel orchestration, simplifying campaign builds and reporting. It's easy to use, easing onboarding, reducing errors, and speeding up execution. Strong customer support and frequent updates enhance efficiency, while the AI-forward roadmap aids creativity and faster market deployment.

Lacking Features and Aggressive Renewal Tactics

  • December 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we were able to end the contract.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Iterable lacks A/B testing and proper holdout functionality in their Journey feature. It also misses basic features like drop and hold testing, and they require a manual workaround that is cumbersome. Additionally, the company enforced an auto-renewal in full just three days after the window, which was frustrating. They even harassed employees with personal phone calls, which felt unprofessional and pushy. The initial setup wasn't easy. Overall, I would look for alternative providers in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable lacked A/B testing and holdout functionality, and its manual workarounds were cumbersome.

Exceptionally Easy-to-Use Interface

  • December 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very easy to use and navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe a little slower than other platforms releasing new features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable is enabling us to identify customers in real time, which allows us to target them with more relevant and personalized content. As a result, we are able to generate increased revenue from our campaigns.

Challenging Setup, But Intuitive UI

  • December 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Iterable's user interface to be quite intuitive and user-friendly. As a designer, I appreciate how easy it is to understand when to take certain actions, track the progress of activities, and know when tasks have been completed. This makes it quick to digest ongoing processes, which is crucial for effective communication and design tasks. Additionally, Iterable offers significant benefits by allowing our design, product, and engineering teams to collaboratively engage with the platform, thereby enabling seamless message delivery to customers with minimal engineering effort. I also value the ability to reuse templates, which helps maintain a quick pace in executing our communication strategies.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the three different features for designing in-app messages or templates a little challenging. The beginner level isn't sufficient for what needs to be done, and the intermediate isn't always enough either. It requires more snippets and customizability. There could be something more customizable without needing snippets, making it easier to use. The initial setup isn't that easy, and we're still working on it. There's a big knowledge gap in understanding what Iterable is, how to use it, and how to set up success for the team. Figuring out community templates would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable allows us to reach customers easily, enabling design, product, and engineering teams to send messages with less engineer lift. It also lets us reuse templates for quick outreach.
