It's all a bit meh
What do you like best about the product?
Clean lay-out, easy to post to multiple sites at once, analytics work well. Good breakdown of the audiences, both total and on each individual social account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to tag companies on LinkedIn, no in-built emoji keyboard, accounts frequently become unlinked thus resulting in analytics becoming unusable, posts would sometimes post more than once when they were not scheduled to do so, pointless updates that don't fix anything and instead break the shorten links button and feature, needs to stop bit.ly links not showing the attributed site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's all been a bit meh to be quite honest. Been able to monitor all the feeds in one layout, but mostly it's been quite disappointing after a promising start.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look elsewhere before settling for Sprout. Initial optimism has eventually waned and caused us to become disillusioned with the platform.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The platform allows me to post across multiple platforms at once, and new updates are often and useful. It's a visually appealing, and easy to learn program.
What do you dislike about the product?
Feed only includes my twitter accounts as far as I can tell. Some functions are sometimes glitchy, but not enough to dissuade me from continuing to use the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping an up to date social presence with multiple brands in one place. The reporting feature is great for running comparison data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your social team is very small, this product is great for time and content management.
Solid social manager for startups and SMBs
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is easy on the eyes and intuitive. They've included some great features beyond basic scheduling and moderation like color-coding accounts by follower count so you can quickly see if someone interacting with you is a potential influencer. Drafting and rescheduling posts is a breeze, you'll need a Premium account or above to access the great Optimal Timing Queue feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can save messages but not add them to folders/buckets based on a chosen topic. They apparently allow this in the enterprise tier but not on the standard or premium. There is a lot of variation in company size between the tiers and I think they should be more flexible with a la carte options for features like this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a growing fanbase with efficient drafting, scheduling, community management, and reporting all in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get as high-tier a plan as you can afford and sign up for their webinar workshops!
Sprout makes account management a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I am able to schedule posts for multiple accounts from one interface - especially if I want them to say the same thing. Scheduling makes my life much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the interface is somewhat clunky to use at first, it's not very intuitive. However now that I've used it for a while I know where key sections are.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage an executive's social media presence and Sprout Social allows me to schedule his posts and see their impact. The analytics from Sprout on audiences for posts from each account is very helpful in figuring out what types of content to post.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Sprout Social to people managing executive accounts or multiple accounts that need to be automated. It makes it very easy to schedule posts from multiple accounts and choose key timings.
Great Social Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the reporting feature the best in Sprout. This allows for great business insights, dashboarding, and other great features. Very helpful with performance
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that permissions don't allow for us to share and distribute content from account to account
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able now to schedule and effectively share social ideas with our partners around the world.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Allow cross collaboration within different accounts within an organization
Really helpful software, only a few shortfalls
What do you like best about the product?
Automated publishing is very helpful, and the insights we get are much more advanced than what's available from the social media sites themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Viral Post seemed cool, but it's not as effective as we would've liked. Oftentimes, posts published at times other than the Viral Post times perform better. Also, LinkedIn images can be inconsistent with sizing and how they're linked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to make social media management easier and more collaborative so we can grow our presence. Sprout has helped with management.
Sprout Social for our Agency
What do you like best about the product?
I liked being able to access our accounts in 1 place and being able to monitor from one location
What do you dislike about the product?
We found ourselves in the proprietary systems a lot generating reports, setting up ads, there was a lot of bouncing around, and it was becoming a hassle to monitor in Sprout but then have to go to the Social Media platform to do other work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were utilizing it to streamline our work, monitor customer interaction more closely, and be able to engage quickly and effectively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
BE sure this will be an improvement on your current social process. It is definitely, needed if you have a high level of engagement on your pages; but not necessarily needed if you will not be monitoring. It is not an ad platform, so monitoring your paid ads will need to be handled in the native system or elsewhere.
Sprout Social
What do you like best about the product?
I've used the report section on a weekly basis as a social media manager. I send these out to clients and let them know what we are doing well and what we may need to improve on.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it went more into depth. I am using these reports along with Google Analytics. It would be great if the two sites were combined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a very simple tool, it gets the job done and the price is reasonable. Sprout Support is INCREDIBLE. They get to you right away, especially if you tweet them.
It helps to have everything in one place as well. It makes it easier to take care of my clients.
It helps to have everything in one place as well. It makes it easier to take care of my clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask questions- their customer service is great and the tool is easy to use once you get enough practice.
Sprout Social has been a gamechanger
What do you like best about the product?
Nearly everything! The platform is robust and has helped my social media team of 1 out immensely. When I had an intern this summer, it was easy to get her onboarded with the tool by adding a seat. The price is right. Their support team is quick and helpful. We had a more "advanced" tool in the past, but Sprout Social fit our content and tagging needs better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes tasks take a few extra clicks than I believe they need to. And I'd like the ability to add tags instead of being restricted to a certain number (based on how we use tags). Good news is, I'm able to provide this feedback directly via support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Smart Inbox has been so helpful for me. Since it works like an email inbox, it helps me to know social messages I've addressed or still need to address. My company has many members that can be retweeted in our social feed. Advanced Retweet is my favorite new feature.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use as much of the system as you can during the demo and take advantage of the videos and webinars provided to help you get started!
Easily the best paid for social media management software
What do you like best about the product?
The reporting section is the best part of the software. The automatic reports help you analyse performance at a glance. The software pulls insights from Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Analytics and allows you to see growth, reach, engagement, and gives you an exact idea of which messaging is getting the most engagement, clicks etc. You can also track competitors side by side and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like monitoring my newsfeed through Sprout Social, although it is totally possible, I still find myself using the native apps and websites for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem you're solving here is social media management, social listening, content calendar management, social media analysis. The benefits are quick and robust scheduling, and quick deep insights.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a robust content calendar manager that allows you to produce beautiful and meaningful reports each month this is the best paid for product.
