What do you like best about the product?
It was very nice to know that it has a tool that can scan all files and code exposed to the public. It allows us to have much more security with our business. I think that it's the best tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I'd like to suggest is to simplify the view of revision history. Except it, I don't have another critical to say. I think the site is very detailed e good build
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was a policy break that was exposed publicly envolving application.roperties file from my project and it appears to exposed sensitive information. That i can know it because of GitGuardian.

I can Fully rely on gitGuardian for any security purpose related to my GitHub

  • March 31, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most of the time I forget to hide my secret keys and api json files for my app. Then when I upload my app to the GitHub repo, guardian automatically analyses these keys and warns me of privacy loss, I am so grateful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike about gitGuardian except the fact that there's sometimes a few spam emails from them. I think spamming a little would enhance my experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily rely on gitGuardian regarding loss of privacy alerts and Api keys getting public. I am assured of security for my repository and my secret keys are always secured and kept secret.

Good functionality and protects data

  • January 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Automatically checks Git repositories for data breaches and sends timely notifications to users to protect data and see if any action is required. Useful as an additional safety measure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major to dislike, just some suggestions for future improvement -- identify when users put dummy PW/ID (I personally put "dummy PW" in sometimes but it still gets flagged as a privacy breach)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accidentally revealing personal data (email/pw/phone number) or API keys, serves as an additional safety measure to protect such sensitive info from being seen publicly
