Lifesaver
What do you like best about the product?
Within just a few minutes or sometimes even seconds of pushing private information (API keys) to Github, I'm alerted about the vulnerability and can fix it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like it if they had a feature to automatically clear out the private information from the repo and its history.

Great tool with a few minor issues
What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty good at finding stored credentials and searches git history, unlike other tools. Excited to try honeytokens. I like that it groups the same credentials found across different repos and files as one incident.
What do you dislike about the product?
It glitches out when frequently when switching between different instances of the same secret finding ("Something went wrong", a page refresh fixes.)
It doesn't properly find the right credential pairs in .env files frequently enough to be annoying.
I would like to be able to fix the above manually, and also be able to combine and separate findings into separate incidents if I please. I've encountered a couple instances where this would be helpful to us.

What do you like best about the product?
i would say, my secret keys, i always forgot some secrets here and their in the code. But now i always fail to find the secrets

nothing i would i say. i absolutely loved the product

i would say my credentials saving and getting me staying out of trouble
Awesome product for Github security
What do you like best about the product?
It takes the load off the developer searching for exposed secrets in his code and it also notifies users of any exposed secret which comes in handy when working on enterprise-grade software that could help save millions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI/UX has some room for improvement to give a better visual representation of information to users. It does not have enough integrations with other third-party tools which can come in handy to help protect source codes and ensure the smooth production of software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitGuardian helps protect my source code secret keys and notifies me of vulnerabilities in my code and gives me a quick overview of the state of my repos through dashboards. This has helped me write better codes that are secure and safe from vulnerabilities
Github Confidenciatility
What do you like best about the product?
Gitgardian allows me to receive an alert whenever he has a problem in my repository. I can then react quickly and fix the vulnerabilities found by GitGardian before another user sees it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the tool is not intuitive enough. I often find myself wondering where I should go to make the changes. In the end, I solve the problems manually from my Github repository

GitGuardian helps me see the problems and vulnerabilities I leave in my code. GitGuardian allows me to know if I don’t leave personal information like .env files.
Very nice and interesting security tool
What do you like best about the product?
It was very nice to know that it has a tool that can scan all files and code exposed to the public. It allows us to have much more security with our business. I think that it's the best tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I'd like to suggest is to simplify the view of revision history. Except it, I don't have another critical to say. I think the site is very detailed e good build

I was a policy break that was exposed publicly envolving application.roperties file from my project and it appears to exposed sensitive information. That i can know it because of GitGuardian.

Use Interface can be made more user friendly

Easy and useful
What do you like best about the product?
The automatic checks for vulnerabilities and the warning of vulnerabilities via e-mail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Is perfect, i don't dislike any function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notifying me when I or someone on the team forgets a password or token in the code.
Check the vulnerabilities before it gets exploited.
What do you like best about the product?
It thoroughly checks your application code to analyze the security vulnerabilities. It can also be integrated with GitHub directly with your repository. We will receive emails related to the bugs and issues we have in our code. Not only once, but also even after years, you will receive notification about the newly found security issues in your codes.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have so much information in the UI dashboard which GitGurdian provides that's why it makes it a little bit difficult to navigate through different features, as a lot of information is available there.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Back in 2020, I developed a google meet API. I published it and accidentally also pushed the credentials to GitHub. Luckily I had gitGurdian enabled in my GitHub repo; it immediately scanned it and sent me an email regarding this to fix the issues. So far I its working fine.
