Powerful Multi-Channel Campaigns, Needs Better Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I use Braze for all of our product and marketing communication needs and appreciate it as our CRM because it gives us insights into all of our users as a whole. I love the deep segmentation and personalization capabilities it offers, and it's great that it makes it easy to run campaigns across multiple channels. I love the ability to run multi-channel campaigns all at once and how easily I can export audiences for Facebook. Braze allows us to create multi-channel campaigns that are highly targeted, and I find their canvas workflow very robust, giving me tons of flexibility. The liquid syntax lets us be very personalized. Once we got established with it, Braze has required minimal maintenance, which is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish their analytics and reporting were better. It's not easy to quickly see performance on campaigns and campaign performance expires after some time. It is not easy to quickly access campaign reporting. I also wish it were easy to see high-level dashboard views of our user engagement performance across campaigns and channels. They have this as a custom feature, but it's not available out of the box and requires some effort to set up and maintain. The setup was involved and required more engineering support than I anticipated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Braze is our CRM, providing insights into users with deep segmentation and personalization. It allows us to run multi-channel campaigns, including in-app messages, push notifications, and emails. The robust canvas workflow and liquid syntax add flexibility and personalization.
A powerful, scalable platform for personalized customer engagement
What do you like best about the product?
Its real-time segmentation, advanced personalization, and flexible journey orchestration make it easy to deliver relevant messages across push, email, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app channels. The interface is modern and user-friendly, and the ability to test, iterate, and optimize campaigns quickly is a major advantage. Braze also integrates well with external data sources, enabling a consistent and unified customer experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some areas can feel overly complex for new users, especially when setting up advanced personalization or custom event structures. Implementation requires careful planning to avoid data inconsistencies. Certain analytics views lack depth compared to specialized BI tools, which sometimes forces additional exports. Pricing can also become significant as data and messaging volumes scale. Overall, though powerful, Braze requires solid internal expertise to unlock its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Braze helps centralize and orchestrate all customer communications across channels, replacing fragmented tools and eliminating manual processes. It enables us to build sophisticated, automated journeys that adapt in real time to user behavior, leading to higher engagement and better retention. With unified data and personalization capabilities, we can deliver more relevant messages, reduce churn, and drive incremental revenue through targeted lifecycle campaigns. Braze also significantly improves operational efficiency by allowing marketing teams to deploy campaigns without constant engineering support.
Effortless Newsletter Management and Automation
What do you like best about the product?
very easy to use, hoping to use it everyday for the sending of our newsletters as well as use it for automating messages to our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not been using the system to it's full extent yet, so cannot really answer this question. But if I have to guess, it will most likely be the implementation of our data into Braze and to use that data to it's fullest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication to users is way better than it was, segmented user-journeys to an extent we did not have before.
User-Friendly Canvas with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Braze's canvas usability, which significantly enhances my experience when interacting with the software. The ability to move steps easily within the canvas is particularly beneficial, allowing for a more flexible and efficient workflow. This feature helps me seamlessly organize tasks and manage customer communications without unnecessary complications. Additionally, the overall user interface design of Braze contributes to a smooth and intuitive process, making it easier to accomplish my goals in customer relationship management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of an autosave feature in Braze. If I accidentally hit the back button or navigate away from the page, I lose all my unsaved work. This oversight disrupts my workflow as it forces me to re-do tasks, leading to wasted time and effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Braze to efficiently send emails to customers. The Canvas usability and easy movement of steps enhance my workflow. However, the lack of autosave is a drawback as I can lose work if I accidentally hit back.
Empowers Marketing with Independence, But Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I truly appreciate how Braze enables my marketing team to communicate effectively with our app users through various channels such as in-app, push, and email messages without the need to consult our engineering team. This independence significantly enhances our ability to move quickly and execute our marketing strategies efficiently. I love the ease of creating segments and the advanced features for campaign automation and scheduling, which empower us to better understand our users and manage customer relationships more efficiently. These capabilities not only streamline our workflow but also save us valuable time, ensuring we deliver targeted and timely campaigns. Additionally, the initial setup experience was impressive with onboarding support from Covalent Marketing, which facilitated a seamless transition to the platform. Overall, Braze's array of tools and features makes it an invaluable asset for enhancing our marketing operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Braze to have a huge learning curve, which has been quite challenging to overcome. Specifically, I had difficulty understanding how to make segments, how custom events work, how data is pulled into Braze, and how to build dashboards. It would have been beneficial to have been directed to the Braze Learning website earlier in the process, as I only recently discovered it and believe that encouragement to explore these lessons earlier would have made the transition smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Braze to send in-app, push, and email messages without engineering support, enabling our marketing team to move independently with campaign automation, segmentation, and scheduling, which saves time and enhances user understanding.
User-Friendly with Powerful Personalization
What do you like best about the product?
I like Braze for its user-friendly platform which allows me to independently build my own push campaigns and custom reports without needing to rely on others. This capability drives efficiency, making my workflow more seamless. Additionally, I appreciate Braze's features such as segmentation optimization, cross-channel messaging, and personalization, all of which enhance my marketing efforts significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup of Braze was challenging because our data was scattered, and transitioning from another vendor we had been in for over 10 years added complexity to the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Braze for segmentation optimization, cross-channel messaging, and personalization. It has a user-friendly UI, allowing me to build push campaigns and custom reports independently, driving efficiency.
Versatile Marketing Automation with Few Improvements Needed
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Braze's canvases allow me to create smooth and versatile communication journeys, which is particularly beneficial for crafting welcome campaigns or other campaigns that require sending multiple communications. The ability to make different communication channels interact, such as sending a push notification followed by an email based on the user's interaction with the initial message, significantly enhances my campaign strategies. The versatility of canvases also stands out, as they offer me the freedom to test different variables and automatically send the best-performing versions to the rest of the audience. This capability boosts my efficiency, as it eliminates the need to manually adjust the canvas, ensuring optimal performance without constant manual intervention. Additionally, setting up my Braze account was very easy, which speaks to its user-friendly nature.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some basic functionalities that are missing. I would like to be able to copy pieces of audience or filters from one canvas to another. It would also be beneficial to be able to select different objects within a canvas to copy or delete them simultaneously. Additionally, the ability to create objects that can be transferred from one canvas to another would be a great improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Braze to create smooth journeys for campaigns with automated, interactive communication, enhancing my workflow without manual intervention.
Intuitive UX, Effective Campaign Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I greatly appreciate the UX and well-designed application of Braze. Everything is quite easy and intuitive, which significantly enhances my productivity. The precise campaign tracking and reporting provide detailed insights that help me manage my company's CRM campaigns effectively. This ability to track and report campaigns accurately is truly valuable to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The loading speed of the campaigns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Braze for precise tracking of CRM campaigns, which improves reporting. The intuitive UX increases my productivity.
Efficient Campaign Management with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I think the usability of Braze is quite good, making it easy for me to find the actual tabs I need, access all the information, and set up new campaigns efficiently. Additionally, I've received feedback that the API documentation is in-depth, which significantly eases the creation of our apps with Braze integration. The integration process with our current application is straightforward and user-friendly. Moreover, Braze serves as a central hub for managing all my notification needs, enhancing the way I oversee various aspects of my campaigns. The initial setup was also notably easy; for instance, we had a notification center up and running in just a sprint and a half, which is impressively fast, and setting up a campaign took less than an hour. This rapid setup time was beneficial as it allowed us to get started quickly without much hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am currently facing issues with managing the numerous campaigns within Braze. There are hundreds of unused campaigns that clutter my current catalog, making it difficult to locate the specific campaign I am working on. This problem arises because we often have to create specific campaigns for each use case, sometimes only needed for a few days or for testing purposes. Unfortunately, there is no straightforward method to keep these campaigns organized, particularly in distinguishing live campaigns from those that are not in use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Braze to manage campaigns and notify users easily, integrating seamlessly with our application and providing a central hub for notifications. It simplifies setup and provides excellent API documentation, enhancing app development with its integration.
Visual Canvas Enhances User Comms, Localization Needs Work
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the visual aspect of Braze's canvas, which makes it easy to see what the user journey looks like. This feature enhances my ability to manage and strategize communication across the entire user lifecycle effectively. Additionally, I like how straightforward it is to segment users and build lists, which allows me to seamlessly personalize and target communications. This capability is further enhanced by the integration with Amplitude, providing a robust framework for data-driven decisions and analytics. Overall, these features of Braze streamline my processes and improve my productivity in executing CRM tasks like email, text, and in-app notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the localization process in Braze to be very messy. The integration with Smartling hasn't been consistent, which causes disruptions. Additionally, when we attempt to make edits, especially on a live canvas, we often encounter errors. This forces us to try various redundant actions, such as clicking around blindly, just to successfully execute a launch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Braze strategically sends communications across the user lifecycle with personalization and segmentation. I like its visual canvas and ease of user segmentation and integration with Amplitude.
