Canva review
What do you like best about the product?
It's very simple - it's a great software to start playing with. Children would love it!
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe it's a little too simple for a lot of tasks! There not many editing buttons once you have your image in the frame. You also create quite minimalistic pieces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Good for creating Instagram posts!
Canva is a graphic designers dream!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy the program is to use. It is perfect for beginners, as well as more advanced graphic designers who want to supplement the work with photoshop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that in the same group of text I cannot change the font size or font type. I wish it were a little more customizable. I also wish that text could be flipped horizontally and vertically. Right now, you can only flip JPG images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been creating multiple projects for work through Canva including flyers, brochures, e-cards, signage, logos, etc. It has saved me countless hours of work I would have otherwise done on photoshop. It made me realize that anyone can use this program because it is so intuitive and easy to learn!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not be put off by the templates that cost money. I have been using Canva for almost 1 year now and have not paid a penny. There are ways around not paying - just use your own images instead of the Canva images.
Canva is amazing. And free.
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Canva allows me to upload my own images and create marketing materials in ways I couldn't have easily (or cheaply) done otherwise. I love that it "teaches" me to use it. I love that as a nonprofit, we can use Canva for Work for FREE.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it were easier to change the orientation of a flyer, for example. I'd have to do a "magic resize" and create another document instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have successfully made beautiful marketing materials and invitations to events that look professional. Prior to this, I did a lot of work on pages and paint and microsoft word just to make relatively simple things. We have had a larger turnout at events and received compliments on the appearance of our flyers and other materials.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! If you're a non-profit, definitely use it!
Canva is great for social media
What do you like best about the product?
Canva is a very easy way to create professional-looking graphics for use on social media. I love the various template and element options for inspiration, and they are easy to customize.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that when you choose a design type, you don't get to see ALL templates - only the ones for that design type. I think there are times when a template for a different design type could be adapted to another type.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva is great when I want something a little easier than starting from scratch in Photoshop or Illustrator. It also helps when I'm feeling less creative and stuck for ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Canva is fully functional as a free web app, so I'd absolutely give it a try! Just beware that there are custom templates or design elements that cost (but they are still affordable).

Love that we now have the ability to create folders, and share our work with team-mates. Also absolutely LOVE the brand template building tools!

Not much honestly. But I have to fill up this space with at least 40 characters. :)

Sometimes it's glitchy and won't upload files even if they are the right size

have more stock photo options in more categories, sometimes it's limited. Good partner with iStock (if not already?)
Easy Content Creation for Entrepreneurs!
What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to manage multiple business social media accounts + marketing content with Canva. I can create beautiful, mobile-friendly, resizable images and PDFs in a fraction of the time it would take me in Photoshop.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs more functionality to keep multiple business logos/themes separate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management. So much more time effective than Adobe!

If you need visual content for multiple platforms, consider Canva. With the magic resize option, you can create content that looks uniform in any size. You only have to design one file, and then magic resize to use that graphic on multiple platforms including websites, social media, emails, print, etc.\
Great for small nonprofits

as a member of a small nonprofit team, canva is great -- it makes it easy to design attractive social media graphics.
What do you dislike about the product?
limited free images, but i can understand why. We may explore the use of the paid version at some point.

increased our social engagement by utilizing graphics we created in canva.

a free version is easy to sign up for - it's worth at least trying.
Canva has changed my life!
What do you like best about the product?
it's easy to use and makes me look good! Everything they do has made me look like I have a degree in Graphic Design and I love it! It takes me just minutes to create a professional looking graphic and I love all of the options they have as far as design.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! Every experience I have had with Canva has been positive and simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva has allowed me to do my own graphics to keep my social media presence up and looking professional as I promote my Album. It's allowed me to put quick quotes up that look fantastic and professionally done, and it allowed me to post eye catching updates during my Kickstarter campaign. I don't know what I would do without it! Before Canva my husband and creative team had to do every little thing like that for me and now I can do it myself and save them time and energy on the small things.

This product will change your life! Use it and use it all the time.
Making Smart, Eye-Catching Graphics Easy for Anyone to Design
What do you like best about the product?
I love the variety of sample designs that Canva offers! Many are available for purchase for one-time use, while others are free for every use, but all of the designs provide inspiration for the next flyer/campaign/Facebook post that I am designing on behalf of a small, professional development association that I am part of. In addition to the designs, there is a myriad of images, fonts, and small graphics to enhance the piece. What's even better than that, however, is how easy it is to upload my own graphics! Seriously.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of Canva is that I can get so caught up in perusing all the cool designs available, and playing around with all the features, that it takes my easily-distracted mind way longer to create flyers than with a simpler program (though the upside is, they always look way cooler in Canva!).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva helps me solve the problem of "poster blindness," which it what my colleagues and I call what happens when people see way too many posters/billboards/social media campaigns, that they stop "seeing" anything at all. Canva helps grab attention again, and reach our audience more effectively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely plan extra time to just play around with the website before you attempt to create anything. Break yourself of the old mindset of design, and let your creativity flow through the easy tools that Canva provides!
