I really appreciate how IBM Apptio makes it easy to ingest and model data, which simplifies dealing with tech investments. Its capability to allocate costs effectively to projects and programs gives us clear visibility into where our resources are concentrated. This is crucial as it helps in showing back tech investments to the business in a transparent manner. The API integrations are incredibly helpful, allowing non-data experts to be successful without needing to build elaborate data pipelines. Features like the native app integrations, such as ServiceNow, enhance usability, making IBM Apptio accessible and efficient. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, which saved time and facilitated a smoother transition.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish IBM Apptio had more native connectors. The dashboards aren't super usable out of the box.

Moreover, the initial setup process was lengthy and complicated, particularly in achieving the correct level of allocation and cost pool categorization, which could be improved for a smoother onboarding experience.

I find that IBM Apptio could benefit from faster embedding of AI into the product. Additionally, while configuring IBM Apptio wasn't overly complicated, I found it challenging to get the necessary data from other systems.
