  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part is the API console where user can see all the published API that helps in easy to manage, update, troubleshoot errors that leds to saving time and eradicating confusion. Very simple interface, integration is smooth and fun to use!
I use daily for my freelancing activities. Customer Support responds quite well in case of stuck or any problems faced by the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not think any feature which is not helpful, I can give a suggestion that it should have a in built quick tutorial guide, where first time users can get know all process seamlesly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First of all, it shows all the APIs that we can group together thus saving time and efforts to manually find each API (its response) when troubleshooting for an error or bug.
Secondly, while creating new API designs, one can thoroughly test API in the platform itself as it shows detailed parameters.

API Management by WSO2 API Manager - An honest Review

  • October 08, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about this service it that it can be dockerized which increase its portability and scalabilty.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like cost , because developers can easily build apis of their own. But we have multiple services here so it can not be that bad. Its a trade off i guess.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WSO2 API Manager is providing ease of building apis, traffic control , monitization and on top of every thing it is open source which is highly customizable. I think for a project life cycle it can create a lot of impact in creating apis and increase the overall development time, because time is money.

WSO2 API Manager 3.2, Superior Performance

  • September 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
WSO2 API Manager 3.2.0 has proven to be a high-performance tool, allowing me at UTPL to manage and publish more than 50 APIs efficiently. Thanks to its robust architecture, we have achieved a flexible and smooth integration between applications, which facilitates support for our business processes. Additionally, it offers a solid API governance system that allows comprehensive control in critical areas such as discovery, management, security, monitoring, and traceability of the data flowing between applications. This has optimized interoperability and significantly improved the responsiveness of our technological solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
In version 3.2.0 of WSO2 API Manager that I currently use, I consider that the alert configuration could be more intuitive and easier to manage, especially when the thresholds set in the API usage policies are exceeded. For example, making it easier to configure automatic alerts to notify when a limit of invocations of a specific resource is exceeded would help improve the user experience and responsiveness in API consumption management. In addition to being able to add alerts to Telegram, Microsoft Teams, which currently has a lot of use in the community.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It facilitates the implementation of an architecture oriented both by APIs and events, optimizing integration between systems. It centralizes the management of the APIs exposed by the various applications of the UTPL, which are technologically heterogeneous, allowing for more efficient administration. It unifies the security layer, standardizing it through the use of apikeys or the oAuth 2.0 protocol, which improves the protection of exposed services. It provides analytical capabilities through API Manager Analytics, which was not possible before. Now, it is possible to perform detailed tracking of who uses the APIs, how frequently, the errors that occur, and which APIs are the slowest, allowing for optimization of their performance and improvement of the user experience.
