Good support and provides insights on how we shape up against competitors
What do you like best about the product?
It gives us a good idea how we are shaping up against our competitors and we can be flexible with the level of incentive we want to offer. Support has always responded quickly when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes reviews from our customers get blocked or not incentivised and we have to follow up with G2 for this to be remedied. We have also had feedback from customers that leaving G2 reviews can be too long winded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us with acquisition as we can point prospects to our reviews. We are extremely proud of them.
Genuine actionable insights
What do you like best about the product?
Buyer Intent is the shining jewel in G2's crown for me. I also get great use from the comparison reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing, honestly. Keep up the solid work!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me identify buyers that are in market for our solution using Intent Signals.
A powerful tool to win prospects at the final stage
What do you like best about the product?
G2 is one of the most effective tools we use at the bottom of the funnel. It gives prospects clear, data-backed insights that show we’re a true leader in our space—without us having to say it ourselves. The comparison tables, rankings, and user reviews do the convincing. We use the Grid Report extensively for blog articles, PR, and to support key selling points on our website, such as platform security and support quality. The real-user testimonials also make for great, authentic social snippets. Compared to other analyst platforms, G2 feels more transparent and user-driven.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few pain points. Sometimes, the competitor categories and suggestions don’t match our real market landscape, leading to slightly misleading comparisons. We’ve also noticed that companies with bigger budgets can "buy" more reviews and artificially boost their profiles, even if the product quality doesn’t match. And while it’s great that we can respond to negative reviews, it's still difficult to manage ratings that are unfair or unrelated to the product itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
G2 helps us solve a critical challenge in the sales process: proving our value compared to competitors. Prospects often reach us with a shortlist of vendors, and G2 gives us third-party validation that builds trust. The platform helps us back up our key claims—like product quality, security, or support—with real user reviews and solid data. It’s also a great source of content: we repurpose G2 data for blogs, PR, and social media, turning user feedback into persuasive proof points that resonate with new leads. It keeps our marketing sharp and grounded in what our customers actually say.
Useful tools to market B2B software to your users
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to increase visibility to our audience and show off trust points for our company. Easy to use the tools and create content from.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some parts of the software aren’t intuitive and I think some of the reporting data should be included in freely accessible places and not expensive add ons. Customer support is a bit slow and been switched from account managers quite a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Showing off our trusted team and platform. Making us a standout option against competition so we can be part of key conversation with our prospects.
Great marketing solutions platform for B2B saas, but not entirely helpful for enterprise customers
What do you like best about the product?
G2 make it really easy to collect testimonials and customer feedback, and the giftcard incentives are sent very quickly once a review is completed. The badges given are great social proof and helps us stand out against competitors. Everyone I've interacted with at G2 has also been really lovely and super helpful. There will never be an unanswered email.
What do you dislike about the product?
For an enterprise company like ours, it's really hard to compete with more product-led companies, because they have so many more customers due to the nature of their business model. If there was a way of changing the algorithm to take this into consideration, I think we'd get more value from the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
G2 is enabling us to generate social proof which is a critical part of the B2B buying process
Amazing for social proofing your solutions
What do you like best about the product?
It provides ready to use content for marketing purposes
What do you dislike about the product?
It can increase some of the customizability, like graphs, filters, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
getting information about how our users are using our solutions, but also understanding how our competitors are doing as well
Excellent quality; at a certain price
What do you like best about the product?
G2 is the industry leader, a trend setter, and the review platform others try to copy. The features offered are of excellent quality, and they adapt to all types of business needs and stages. It helps companies with brand awareness, to expose their logo to all software buyers, but not only does this, it helps to close the loop by generating revenue for you and converting traffic into business deals
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that the reviewer selects the category in which they wish to rate the company can lead to erroneous results. Often, users are not well informed or do not fully understand the differences between the different categories and markets in the B2B sphere. Allowing them to make this decision leads to “false positives”, where brands can be incorrectly rated. Furthermore, since this field is presented as a drop-down menu with options arranged alphabetically, users tend to select the options at the top, which further skews the results
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us attracting new customers and using "third-party" content to build trust and credibility in our brand narrative (campaigns, sales decks, website...)
Simple to use platform for building trust and social proof
What do you like best about the product?
Campaigns are very easy to set up and our success manager has been quick and helpful when we've needed to make changes. Once set up, there's little to no maintenance so it's easy to continually run campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to have a more detailed dashboard as I can't easily keep track of monthly changes to our score using the existing data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
G2 helps us easily and effectively collect customer reviews and benches us in our industry to show the value we can offer future customers over and above our competitors.
A great tool for software marketing teams
What do you like best about the product?
The marketing assets provided - badges, grid widgets, competitor comparisons and testimonial widgets are all brilliant assets - we use them a lot
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to be able to integrate customized assets more easily into our website
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social proof assets, user review collection, reputation management. It makes these tasks easy for us while giving us credibility, thanks to being a well known brand
Needed B2B Tool - But Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
This is needed as part of the B2B buying cycle, and used by LLMs and Search Engines too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The poor customer service, they don't keep their words always, and lately had some bad experiences with them, so much so that had to step back from wanting to work with them and have them working with another member. I've also been a fan of the tool, but even a great tool, needs good customer service, even more so seeing their organic traffic is sinking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being seen in the feed, helping with buyers in the market.
