Simple and developer-friendly service
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Nexmo is the simplicity of their offering and documentation. Other competing are way too complicated, sometimes overloaded with unnecesary features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nexmo international pricing is not very competitive. Also sometimes it is subject to big changes. For example, the cost of a Spain phone number increased from €0.50/month to €4/month in the past two years
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Nexmo for a custom IVR system and has been the best solution I found so far.

I like that its much easier to integrate and use.

I haven't used all the features yet to know the things I dislike.

Customer login verifications & easier notifications based on priority.
Work as expected, and quick setup

I've tested some other solutions. Nexmo is the cheapest, and setup was really easy !

The Service to send SMS for many functions.

Hmm. I can't really say something about a Dislike. All is working as it should, I've never had Problems. But I'm really new (since december 18).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customers can verify their Account by 2FA (sending a Code to their Phone by SMS). They can also receive Codes by SMS for Redeeming it.

This tool has meant a considerable increase in sales of our product, due to the great effectiveness in the delivery of messages. I can not wait to implement the WhatsApp sending option

Maybe the cost it's a little expensive.

The communication with our clients, because the emails in some case went to spam, and sms has at least 99% of effectiveness

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to receive and send audio packets using your own websockets server. Also the dashboard is well-made and offers you complete control over your services.
Also, nexmo offers libraries for many programming languages. We use their java library and we have not experienced any issues yet. It's integrated smoothly with our service and our customers are happy.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not having the ability to determine the cost of a call by using the number. Right now we have to extract the meta from the number and then compare it ourselves with their pricing sheets. You can use number insights to do that, but it would be better if they offered a solution.
Also, the voice API offers only 2 types of audio (audio/l16;rate=8000, audio/l16;rate=16000). It would be really nice if they implemented different codecs such as Opus and different rates (so we don't waste CPU cycles upsampling the audio for our needs)
Their support could be faster, one time we had to wait 3 days for a response.

We have managed to link the top VOIP platform for gamers (https://discordapp.com/) with the real world.
Nexmo is the only platform that allows you to transmit audio data through the websocket protocol, without using deprecated methods.

If you want an easy way to perform calls to the world without using SIP and advanced UDP streaming, Nexmo is your solution. They are really stable and their support is quick to resolve your issues.

I wish the reports on the dashboard could be pivoted and filtered at a more refined level.

The problem Nexmo helps us solve is providing timely communication to our customers. We've been able to analyze our messaging at a high level to help prioritize projects, project future use and spend (and thereby reduce costs).

What do you like best about the product?
Nexmo is the kind of tool that once you set up there is not much to worry about. It's been running smoothly since 2014 for the needs of Hotel Link Solutions. Whenever we had questions we always had quick support from the Nexmo team.

Nothing to dislike really. Nexmo provides what we need.

We are sending SMS alerts for booking notifications to our clients. Some of our clients work in remote areas with a poor internet connection. SMS ends up being the only reliable way of getting booking notifications.

In France, I looked for tools such as those delivered by Nexmo but I did not find anything so qualitative. I had questions about the use and the help desk was always very responsive and found solutions to all my questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
you have to be a computer scientist at heart to use the solutions. But if it is not, telerivet the partner allows to use very easily the solution without having to be computer scientist.

I use it to do dynamic polls by SMS and call out by svi. I can now offer new tools to my clients
