Easy Setup for Integration and Alerting
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of quickly creating some DLP rules and the automation options that come with the rules, such as alerting the end user and the security team. Alerting the end user is a great way for a business to educate on how to share data properly. Metomic is also much more flexible for creating DLP rules and alerting than most tools with their out-of-the-box features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the portal for reviewing alerts needs some work, but it is constantly being improved upon. I'm glad that Metomic is always accepting customer feedback. I think consolidating menu options and screens would be helpful, but I'm confident UX improvements will come with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Metomic solves the problem of having high-confidence DLP alerts. Our company tried using Google's OOB alerting, and we were overwhelmed with false positives. Metomic is very low-noise.
Very good product to keep your customer PI under control
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service is brilliant, the product works really well and the personal information is secure with them as they can prevent people from sharing PI from customers!
What do you dislike about the product?
Processes can be more automated and the filters can be improved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Metomic helps us prevent our employees from sharing PI with customers and prevent people from sharing internal docs with anyone with a link outside of our company domain.
Good DLP Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Metomic has a very good UI and it is very easy to understand and navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
New classifiers are sometimes not accurate, however, it has been noticed that Metomic keeps improving this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Metomic as a DLP tool, and it is helping us to control any sensitive information being shared across the organisation. It also allows us to restrict users from sharing such information online.
Great tool for investigating potential data loss and detecting sensitive data across your estate!
What do you like best about the product?
Metomic offers a wide range of popular SaaS tool integrations; the UI is excellent; the rule creation is intuitive and powerful, but the best thing is that they listen to customer feedback and answer any questions with detail and thought! Always had fantastic service from the Customer Success Manager from the very start!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not anything I dislike, but they are working extremely hard to develop new and improve current integrations, and this takes time to complete.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scanning for sensitive data such as secrets and looking for data loss across our estate, the redactions it can make whilst alerting via Slack and email are really useful.
DLP for SaaS, not much better out there.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy modern UI, clear distinct landing pages. Even when I have new employee go in and click around they can figure things out vs some other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some redundancy in the UI and I feel like some modules can be combined into singular landings. Besides that not much else, Cost?

Multiple Cloud services being overwatched by DLP rules.

What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't a criticism of the Metomic platform, but to be mindful that when plugged into various platforms to detect PI, the insights it delivers will need to be regularly reviewed to utilise the tool effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to track where PI is being shared and enables us to implement various timeframes for deletion.
Fantastic company to work with
What do you like best about the product?
Metomic is a company that truly listens to its customers, and then they execute on and deliver what they promise. They are not the type of organization that over promises and under-delivers - quite the opposite. They are great people to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on which features you purchase, you may find some overlap in your tooling. For the most part, Metomic just does it better. For example, their rules engine makes setting up new rules very straightforward. On occasion, some of their classifiers are over-aggressive, but they will work with you to find the correct balance between false positives and finding things that need proper remediation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Metomic helps us identify sensitive information in applications where we previously had no or limited visibility. They also provide great tools for remediating any issues we find.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the customer experience with Metomic. The sales team was fantastic, the success team has been wonderful, attentive, and pays attention to customer feedback. I've had a great time working with Metomic to uncover areas where their product can help.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one area we need Metomic in doesn't currently have an available integration with their product. I look forward to being able to integrate with Salesforce for DLP so that we don't have to purchase another product so that we can use a single product for our DLP.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Metomic to uncover sensitive company data and prevent it from being shared or residing in places it shouldn't. It's a really great supplement where technical controls that could be our frontline of defense don't exist.

What do you like best about the product?
Metomic integrate with plenty of mainstream SaaS tools and their detectors work well to identify sensitive data in those environments. It gives me peace of mind to know that a single detection/response to secrets such as AWS keys in an unapproved environment can quickly avoid a major security breach and brings clear ROI. They are constantly making improvements to the platform and taking feedback from customers into account.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI is still improving, but it's reasonably good and just needs some tweaks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Metomic helps me to have a good understanding of where our confidential information lies across cloud tooling. More importantly, it can quickly detect secrets or other important data that should not exist in certain environments, and automatically educate/prompt users, or redact it instantly.

easy integration. It is as simple as a few clicks (and the Metomic onboarding process is excellent, too, as the team guides us through the process).

Probably the false alerts. The system needs tweaking but this is expected for a system that learns and evolves.

It gives us visibility in all our exposed data.
