Takes the headache out of trying to remember expirations and due dates. Very handy tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the spreadsheet is similar to Excel - so it has a familiar format. However, there is more applicable functionality that you'd have to be a master with Excel to be able to achieve. You can write rules to highlight fields to create an easier overview of many projects. My favorite part is the ability to setup email reminders based on dates so I never go beyond an expiration date.
What do you dislike about the product?
While they do have videos to help guide you through using the sheets, it does take a little time to figure it out. Setting up rules for automatically timed emails took me a little bit to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in a lab. So we have to deal with all kinds of products that have differing expiration dates. Smartsheets gives me the ability to set reminders to give me enough time to order new materials so I never run out because of an expiration date. We are also required to keep our staff trained with annual trainings. We have to train on 8 different components of the lab and they aren't always due at the same time. Multiply the complexity of this by multiple employees, and having a place to do the "remembering" for you has virtually eliminated all the issues of tasks "falling through the cracks."

It's a great program to help stay on task and meet deadlines.
Easy to navigate abd replace google sheets
What do you like best about the product?
It has replaced our google docs, excel and in house forms. We use it for benefits, job cerifications, payments, it has been a true blessings. It has eliminated so much duplication in reporting. It works so well for our department, we have other departments using smart sheets too. I can not say enough great things about it

Nothing yet, meets my needs, still learning new functions

Creating smartsheet as a solution center. It has helped through Covid and as well after the fact. It has been a great tool to source our solution center.

What do you like best about the product?
Can easily edit and add information after a workspace is created. You can create reports and visualize them within the tool. It seems user friendly and they are plenty of educational tools to learn how to use effectively. I like that you can build forms that translate into spreadsheets, can store files and schedule notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it could integrate with some other platforms such as Teams and that it was easier to share spreadsheets with others across our teams without having to share a workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
tracking our activities, reporting, collaborating across projects, the entire team has access to what our activities and objectives are reducing the need for unnecessary emails.
Smartsheet has been easy to use and has been valuable for management.
What do you like best about the product?
We mainly use smartsheet to create GANTT charts for projects through our integration shop to send to customers. This has been very helpful in using and sending updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to include different segments of projects and waterfalls. The same project may have different segments of an overall project that could be helpful with better chars.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for scheduling and procurement to keep tabs on material needed for integration of analyzer projects.

Smartsheet is a great tool to use for project managers in delegating work and scheduling.
Must Have Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has adapted to the various PM methodologies, and their product easily produces GANTT charts, kanban boards and task lists. So easy to use and adjust to. Such a time saver compared to the previous PM tools I've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Copy and paste feature should be improved. The sub-tasks become main tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet makes project management much easier. The workflows ensure that assigned task owners are reminded of their schedules and tasks. Adjusting work hours and plotting holidays takes away worries for timeline accuracy.

What do you like best about the product?
The recent addition of AI feature has help us to create formulas quickly giving a few easy prompts. It suggest report and documents depending on the requirement. Overall, this is the best tool for project managers and I can't get enough of it

Whilst there will be room for improvements. Certain UI can be improved. Overall I am satisfied with the product

I am running a few project where we need to adopt agile methodology. It has easy for me to adapt and configure the taks as a jira board

What do you like best about the product?
Our PMO has used Smartsheet as our main project management tool for almost 5 years now. The usuability features Smartsheet provides and the consistent updates has helped our group streamline our processes and deliver the quality work we strive to provide our healthcare system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of document housing capability.

Dashboards and timeline features. This latest update has helped us re-evaluate how we use our sheets & metric sheets to present to our C-Suite, Director Group, and board.
Smartsheet for Project Management review
What do you like best about the product?
The Smartsheet concept and one stop login.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations on cross-sheet references and 'look ups'. No way to backup, clone, or transfer SmartSheet connectors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better tracking of key deliverables in one place with real-time data from SFDC. The Dashboards are easy to share with the customer via the publish option or print to PDF.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are managing projects by spreadsheets or MS Project, you can easily import your data into Smartsheet to get started and have all your data in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that it is dynamic in the sens that you can link all the dates together to ultimately know the date that your product may be released based on other timing that is happening in the release.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really like to have the ability to select custom colors that match my company's branding. This would help me create a beautiful dashboard that would make more sense for my company.

We traditionally were using powerpoint to track our timelines for our roll-outs of certain products, using Smartsheets has alllowed us to be more dynamic in how we plan the product releases that we have.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the automation and form features in smartsheets. I created a form for our community to request support for our information systems. When they submit a request I get an email and with the check of a box, I can trigger an automated email. I appreciate that I can include the field values in my response to the person and that I can even limit it to just a message or specific fields. This has decreased the need for us to send an individual email and go back and forth looking between the message and the sheet. Everything is in there already! I really like the form features, Smartsheets has made it very user-friendly when setting up and building logic for a form.
What do you dislike about the product?
With automated messages, the person who receives the message can only reply to the person who set up the automation. I wish I could edit the reply-to option so that when a person wants to reply to the email they receive, I could define who would receive that email. I would also like to be able to freeze columns, I'm not sure if this feature exists, but it would be really helpful for when I have a lot of columns and still need to see data from the first column. When I create a message for automation, the text window is VERY small. I want to be able to see the entire message without having to scroll. I would also like formating options for the automated message. This would be a huge improvement. Another suggestion would be to include an option that allows users to view a translated version of a form. For example, if a person speaks Spanish, they should be able to click a button that translates the form into Spanish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Previously, I would receive random email requests for new user accounts to be created because a user tried to log in, but their account was not set up in our system. With Smartsheets, I'm able to set up the account, collect important information about the account created, and also send the new user an email with a link to log in to the system. This has prevented people from sending emails with requests to create new accounts. Now the new user doesn't have to "guess" if their account has been created.
2. We are using Smartsheets for our community support requests. If they have a problem, we are notified of the submission of the request. Then we work to resolve it and can check a box to automate a message with a solution. I've realized how much easier this makes it for our community members and for us. We include the fields in their message and can even include a custom message based on a field in the sheet.

It's a great product with so many helpful features. The automation you can create will make streamline so much of your work and update your sheets for you.
