Awesome Workplace Tool!
What do you like best about the product?
The user-friendly layout and the simplistic functions. I also love that the site can be accessed from anywhere, as well as that our team can work on the project at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a tutorial function to get more use out of my subscription. I'm not the most technologically inclined, so I would love a tutorial feature to guide me through all of the customization features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping us solve the problem of online file storage. We were looking for alternatives to the cloud and were blown away by all of the features included in Smartsheets, specifically the document and proof features.
Finally an app/program that solved our management issues!
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the concept and the ease of use. Also, the fact that our entire team can edit and view at the same time. We love the comments, the ability to store documents on each line, and the update request assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things we wish we could do, although minor compared to the benefits. A few sheets that we made we wanted to copy over to additional sheets and make minor changes but couldn't. We had to build them from scratch for some reason, which was a little tedious.
Touch-screen compatibility would also be beneficial; it's sometimes harder to scroll on a platform with many lines and columns.
Last, not being able to generate an easy printout of sheets has added steps to what we've needed to do to share info with employees that don't have access to the platform. We want to convert some of our simpler sheets to PDFs that can be shared or printed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business needed a CRM, sales tracking method, and job profitability tracking all in one place. Smartsheet does that because the master sheet holds all of the client and job info, allows us to send email notes to each other, and the data within the rows translates to formulas showing sales metrics. The data entered also populates fields in other sheets that we share with employees about job performance and profitability.
Smartsheet has allowed our company to centralize and streamline our PMO processes.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to configure and repeatable processes. Smartsheet University is a good source for learning about the product. A strong and fun Community platform where discussions, questions and answers are available to engage in or just review, whether it's to see what's going on in the Community or for help with solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Commonly used features in Excel and Project are not available or are only available via 3rd party or add-on apps. Basic formatting, like column headers, is missing. Creating reports often requires workarounds for commonly needed things. Feature enhancements do not come often enough, and some of the most asked-for features have never been implemented or even addressed/discussed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet offers a project-centric platform that allows collaboration, transparency, and live data to be shared across the organization and beyond. Previously we had Project Managers working out of multiple platforms. Now we've got everybody aligned on one platform.
A Great Tool for Association Management!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that we can attach documents to each line/record. I can even attach relevant emails, pictures, etc. It's a great way to keep timeline reminders - especially with the automation feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Detailed Formulas (more than simple math) are NOT for the faint of heart. The new pricing tiers need to be considered when deciding among your team who will be 'licensed'.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking Client Contracts and information that isn't ready to go into a full-fledged database; Timeline for tasks to complete throughout the year; Invoice payment approval. We use SS in almost all of our event registrations and infomation collection. Works beautifully!
Poor performance for managing thousands of requirements
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the running log of comments on each row. I also like attaching and linking documents to each row. I also like how you can nest rows in parent rows, and then include parent rows in filters.
What do you dislike about the product?
With 1500+ rows and 5 collaborators, each time another user saves the document, the collapsing and expanding, which leaves reviews with stakeholders impossible virtually, because the SmartSheet reloads and resets the view to the top of the page. Seems like 1500+ rows is the limit of collaboration. Excel SharePoint would have been a better choice for managing requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed collaboration before we had Excel SharePoint, which was great. Also, linking to other SmartSheets was helpful, but the linking with thousands of rows causes too much friction in the user experience. Our original problem is now gone, with Excel in SharePoint we can more easily collaborate on spreadsheets.
A great intuative program with very little limitations
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great way to communicate between different groups in our organization.
I can review the workings of different projects all at a glance.
I like the notification automations and how easy it is to set up.
I appreciate the speed and clarity with which staff has helped me when I have had issues as well as their reception to feedback.
The integration with other services has been quite easy as well using power automate to download and export my sheets daily to my offline database.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the features I am missing from base programs like Excel are Queries and a bigger row/cell limit but I recognize it might be close to impossible to implement on an online platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through Smartsheet we have been able to track the progress of our production workflow and send automated notification to many different parties at specific flag points.
This has enabled better internal co-ordination leading to more efficiency overall.
Also we have been getting daily tracking reports to analyze at the end of the season which was something we never had before.

SmartSheet is a life, time, and sanity saver!
What do you like best about the product?
We are a bustling marketing department for a huge logistics company. Some of our employees are remote, so we always need to check in on specific projects and assignments to ensure everyone is on track and the same page.
SmartSheet makes it SO easy. When we first started using it, we made our own sheet - let's call it a glorified Excel task list. We quickly realized that it would only be possible to keep it at a level where we could efficiently use it if we implemented different tools.
That's when we learned the magic of templates, reporting, forms, and more. With a bit of training from SmartSheet's training tools, we were able to ramp up our productivity, communication, and more.

What do you dislike about the product?
My only dislike is that the learning curve on how to use the advanced functions of SmartSheet is steep. It took a lot of work to dedicate the time to learn it when we were already so busy and overloaded with our workloads.
If there was a way to make it a little more user-friendly, OR if you offered an affordable service to have someone help you or build out a sheet for what you need - that would be amazing.

SmartSheet helps keep my team organized, on task, and on the same page creatively. We love the proofing features for feedback and keeping track of projects. We also love the different views SmartSheet offers for overview of projects and team status.
Only Tool Required To Manage Project and Real Time Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Real time collaboration and Project Management and issues tracking features I love the most. Now I can easily track the task, make to do list for all the teams members. And the best part is i don't have to write code or required any coding skill to use it. Basically Its an advanced version of excel and it web based no installation required. As compared to its features it has a reasonable price.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet have whole lot of featues. Still I have not explore most of its features but those features I have used till now are really great. Till now I have not experienced any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me to manage the whole project on the go. Real time collaboration features is a life saver. Now I don't have to get the details from all the team mates they can easily give updates through project tracking and issues features. Now managing the project becomes more easily than before.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet keeps me organized. I work with a ton of different customers, on a ton of a different projects, and I always have a million balls in the air at any given time. Smartsheet helps me keep track of everything I need to do, for everyone. Before I started using it effectively, I had tried a number of different systems to just keep track of the things I needed to do. Smartsheet is by far the best, fastest, easiest, and most effective way I've found to do it. There's a lot of other things I use it for, but the quick form add to my lists is my favorite.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a lot of ability to create and automate workflow, but I would like to see it improve more so that I can set up more steps in any individual workflow and better control the order in which my workflows fire.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of all the projects I work on and all my tasks at any given moment. It keeps me organized.
The automation almost writes itself
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes it easy to drive engagement with minimal explanation. I have a sheet that creates a record for each potential attendee, they get a yes/no response, and I can see at a glance that each event has the right people attending. In project summary sheets, the automated update request ensures everyone has the latest information ready to go - even if their update for that period is "no progress."
The features are constantly improving. The appearance of new capabilities in data presentation and automation shows that they are dedicated to continuously improving the experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is not a set-and-forget tool; it needs an active administrator. Have a sheet column with a contacts dropdown? Someone needs to edit that column's list for every change - there isn't a way to make a sheet of potential inputs. Those dropdowns require listed values for forms.
Contacts are handled - oddly; in filters and summaries, a person added by the smartsheet contact object shows up differently than the same person added by their linked email.
Cross-sheet updates don't always trigger like they should. Sometimes when an automated task is set to run on a value change where the cell of concern is calculated from another sheet, the task doesn't recognize a difference originating from the other sheet as a value change in the automated sheet.

Smartsheet shows our leaders and us that our distribution of work matches our priorities. We don't spend hours filling out biweekly data to populate a chart that takes ten minutes to read.
