Great tool to keep track of team's progress on projects
What do you like best about the product?
Our team uses smartsheet to track all of our projects and tasks. It is easy to update and several of us can update it at the same time. It was very easy to create an account and everyone can use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would like to do is be able to tag someone so that they know something has been assigned to them. They should receive an email once something has been flagged for them to take notice. This feature might already be on there but I have not seen it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily create a long list of tasks that we review each week with our team. We are able to add all detail as well as include the email of that particular person so that if anyone has a question they have the email to contact them directly.
Smartsheet can make difficult tasks more easy
What do you like best about the product?
I love Smartsheet because it helps me keep track of projects and tasks in one centralized place. I can easily assign tasks to people, keep track of deadlines, and even collaborate on documents. Smartsheet also gives me the ability to customize my dashboard to fit my needs, giving me the ability to easily see what's going on with the project. Smartsheet's intuitive user interface makes it incredibly easy to use, allowing me to quickly make changes and stay on track with my projects. Overall, I think Smartsheet is an amazing tool for managing projects and tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main downsides of Smareshheet is the limited customization options. While the platform does offer basic customization features, such as setting up templates and customizing views, it does not offer the same level of customization as some other project management tools. Additionally, the platform may not support some of the more complex projects, as the customization options are so limited.
Another downside of Smareshheet is the difficulty of navigating the interface. The platform can be difficult to use for new users, as it is not as intuitive as some other project management tools. This can lead to frustration and confusion as users try to figure out how to use the platform.

It helps teams and businesses to easily manage projects, processes, and everyday work. It helps to eliminate manual processes and streamline workflows, making it easier to get work done faster and more efficiently
Use of smartsheets for data protection but also integration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets is an essential tool for anyone who works with data on a regular basis. Whether you're a business analyst, accountant, or just someone who needs to manage a personal budget, Smartsheets offers powerful tools for organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data. You can use it to create everything from simple lists and tables to complex financial models and data visualizations. With a wide range of formulas and functions, you can easily perform calculations, manipulate data, and generate insights.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheets interface is user-friendly, it can take time and effort to learn the ins and outs of the software, especially if you're new to working with spreadsheets. Particularly as its very similar but also slightly different to excel.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As its a cloud based software - often excel isnt great for cross collaboration across teams. Now, as we have a cloud best system we can link these towards various in house pieces of software. The links are so well established that they do not break - also the permissions software is well created so its easy to allow and deny users to edit the data for greater protection. As a result, we have saved both time and effort when collecting and anlaysing data points.
Love Smartsheets
What do you like best about the product?
The predecessor tool, Gantt and calendar view. I also like how you can share a live link of the timeline or export a PDF. I've never used a similar tool. I have used office timeline but that's more for a high level view.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not client-facing. We mostly use it internally. It would be great if we could export the timeline in a client friendly format. I'd like to not have to constantly hit the save button. It would be nice if smart sheet would operate as a live doc with an undo button.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me build timelines in minutes with the predecessor feature. It's so easy to access and open. Yes, I'm more productive with Smartsheets. Yes, our business performance has increased. We are able to create timelines and update them quickly. We can also set reminders for certain milestones. As a project manager, I can't imagine not using Smartsheets.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the access to templates and the extensive number of tips that are included to help you get to grips with the platform. I also like the ability to share with colleagues and to separate into workspaces.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are that it doesn't integrate with PowerBI (I don't think?) as that is our business' preferred method of analysing and representing data patterns. However, I haven't yet taken much time to delve into the reporting and dashboard capabilities within Smartsheet itself
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to easily manage my projects and to assign tasks within those to individuals. It is also incredibly helpful to have choices available to me with regards to the view - having an easy gantt chart view is so valuable.
Professional templates and great functionality!
What do you like best about the product?
We love Smartsheets templates for construction management, but they have everything you need for all kinds of project management! We ended up transferring almost all of our excel workbooks to Smartsheets to keep everything in one place. I LOVE the card function; being able to click and drag things around that way is so intuitive... I wish I could set everything up to work that way!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as user-friendly as we'd like it to be... you can't just change cell/row/column colors and have it applied to every sheet in the project. We have 25 projects going on that we have organized into the same sheet; I'd like to be able to assign a color to each project and have it show up in the calendar sheet that way! There are several functions that would require the push of a button in Excel but need to have an equation behind them for Smartsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For larger commercial projects, Smartsheet is the cleanest, easiest way to create and adjust a schedule for any changes in scope or client requests. It keeps me from having to do twice the amount of work and looks twice as nice!
Smartsheet is a phenomenal project management software!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets is an amplified and higher-powered form of Microsoft Excel with many built-in features (task assignment, in-line links to files, progress tracking) that make project management a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not think there are many downsides to Smartsheets. Compared to other project management tools, I think it holds up on most fronts and excels on others. We use it all the time!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Smartsheets in our organization, we had disparate means of tracking project progress and ensuring that tasks were completed. After building out our Smartsheet portfolio (which was not difficult at all), we can now easily assign tasks to specific team members and track their progress. This feeds into an overall project management portfolio and allows us to stay on top of everything as a team and highlight areas where more assistance is needed.
All the tools all in one place
What do you like best about the product?
The platform has a wide range of tools to facilitate collaboration across teams and streamline processes while keeping our data succinct with supporting docs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is room for improvement with the structure of conditional formatting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The automation of processes when launching a new product or service. Smartsheet enables us to automate status updates and track the progress down the funnel. Smartsheet reduces the number of potential blindspots.
Straightforward and Intuitive system with just a few potential fixes needed
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to add tasks and for following tasks to be automatically update if the added task is a predecessor is a great feature. No need to go back and change the predecessor numbers manually. The customizability of the task items is a great feature
What do you dislike about the product?
Only a few items that I do not like; firstly, the gantt view is non-adjustable, meaning I cannot zoom into the timeline or zoom out to view more of the timeline. Secondly, If I am trying to scroll to the left on my trackpad, the system thinks that I am going to the previous webpage and automatically boots back to the dashboard. Lastly, I wish there was an easy way to provide summary reports without too much effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets allows to easily view dependencies, which as a project manager, one is very aware of them, but being able to see them and watching the effect of their timelines changing is a great feature.
Smartsheet is a useful aid in communication and collaboration with coworkers.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great way of documenting communication between my coworkers and myself on projects. It is much easier than emails, since it allows for revisions, editing to comments, and using the cells to create customized labels for the status of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have dislikes about Smartsheet. I am just a basic user and I like the current functions of the website, so I do not develop the sheets and just use sheets provided to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving communication and project management difficulties. Our company uses the sheets for many different reasons. I do not know if business performance has increased, but I feel that productivity and ease of communications during projects/tasks is high due to using Smartsheet.
