Simple and fast
What do you like best about the product?
Email Alerts after I update a row. Automation of highlighting the color based on the status of the row/task. Ability to add files right on the task. Also, the ability to add comments per line and review other teammates' comments
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to run reports on the tasks. At times I have issues when I try to log in it redirects to the same page and I have to log back in using my credentials twice. Not able to show diagrams
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organize my day 2-day activities and tasks. Send out emails/alerts as and when needed. A simple way to highlight tasks and pay quick attention. A great option to attach files needed for review. Dashboard and shortcut options with recent files view
Smartsheet for custom fabrication projects
What do you like best about the product?
It's hard to pick a "best" because there are lot of features I genuinely appreciate. The ease of use compared to other programs, the ability to easily and cleanly share information, the ability to automatically alert others about tasks based on preset criteria, the ability to access information on mobile devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reports are good, but not great. It's often a struggle to show the information I want in the format I want. Like the ability to automatically show a parent row if a child row meets the selected criteria. There are ways to trick the system into doing that but it's all kind of clunky. Also sometimes it would be nice to not have the conditional formatting carry over from the main sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first and foremost reason I insisted on using Smartsheet for our company was scheduling work in the factory. Before coming on board, the company used a dated Excel spreadsheet that wasn't shared with the team. It took a little convincing to get the scheduler to change to a new program but once she started using it, and we shared it with the team she immediately saw the benefits.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is intuitive and easy to use for various roles on our team. It has helped us organize and maintain documentation across projects, allowing us to limit access when needed. Smartsheet dashboard functionality has also given our team a unified view of priorities and status across many projects, which has helped keep everyone informed and on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet lacks much of the formatting and data manipulation functionality found in excel. While it works well for project plans and documentation, it would be nice to be able to do more with data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet gives us an organized space for everything we need to manage a project: schedules, issues lists, documentation, contacts, dashboards, etc. It helps keep our entire team on the same page and ensures nothing important gets lost.
Fantastic and quick adoption rate

Smartsheet is fantastic, and there are many exciting things in the works! ;)

What do you dislike about the product?
Some features take a long time until they are released publicly, and some basic features aren't available at the moment.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, I always try to use Smartsheet for everything where it makes sense.
Because it's so powerful and flexible, it can be used for almost any process or workflow.
For my clients, it solves anything from invoice management to a quiz for an event.

A bit of a learning curve, but powerful
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how smartsheet allows you to create a custom solution for managing many crossfunctional workflows across multiple roles, departments, or organizations. I've been able to create multiple solutions for the teams I work with to help them manage their work and processes more efficiently and work together more collaboratively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about smartsheet is the learning curve of the software. It's easy once you understand it and get some practice, but it can be difficult to introduce new users to a solution I've created to manage their work so that they are able to maintain and manage it after I'm done on a project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many teams with many individuals working from different places, so it can be difficult for everyone to be on the same page regarding work progress, to-dos, or other key action items. Smartsheet has helped us coordinate efforts and increase collaboration across our teams.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can create various types of sheets to help your direct team or even forms that can be sent to other departments of the company thah will evidently help the entire organization with all the collaborations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is very user friendly and has a great user interface for all people to use whether your experienced or not with tech, but I would like to see some of the basic and more often used features to be easier to access or seen on the main selections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving problems in many aspects for individual tasks to entire project management and is doing so all in real time. There is no need to go back and forth and wait because multiple people can adjust anything live and get the work flow going smoothly.
Smartsheet is the full package for Project Management!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very user-friendly, easy to learn, and offers great tutorials! As soon as I started using Smartsheet I fell in love with how organized and efficient it makes my project management. I love the dashboards and the work insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love all the Smartsheet features, especially now that my company is an enterprise user and gets all the cool features like dynamic view, data shuttle etc. I dislike that if you are a regular user, you don't get these features, or there is a cell linking limit. Also, I wish you didn't have to purchase the plan for multiple users, for example a small business might be the sole owner but still want all the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to manage our projects with multiple stakeholders. I work in Quality Improvement, so I need to track over 500 stakeholders and engage them in surveys monthly. I love the ability of Smartsheet to allow me to engage with a big audience with surveys and then analyze their responses using the work insights or my own metrics sheet. I also use the Dashboards to measure and display their responses, which allows me to make quality improvement decisions and report to upper management in an organized way. We also use Smartsheet as a customer-facing "website" where they can interact with our dashboard to learn more.
Makes collaboration and gathering data so much easier!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can work on a smart sheet with my teams across the company. The forms function gets a ton of use. We use it for most of our events that don't require payment for registration. The style looks more professional than using a google form. Absolutely love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know if this is a company option, but we are limited to paid seats now, which makes it hard to share sometimes. I find some of the templates confusing and would like a short video tutorial on some of the more in-depth ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to share forms with users outside our organization is the main way we use smart sheets. It saves us time and is very user friendly. I also like that we can save projects as templates so that we can reuse them.
Smartsheet in Teacher Preparation
What do you like best about the product?
We use Smartsheet to onboard and track all our teacher education students. Smartsheet helps us manage both data and documents; the attachment feature is tops! We've gone from 3-4" thick files for each candidate filling 7-8 file drawers to a single file drawer with files holding only critical information.

What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is such a powerful tool that it's challenging to learn everything it can do. We are sure there are features we could use to extend our efficiency, but a) finding time to learn, and b) finding the tutorials or guides is not that easy. We rely mostly on another power-user on our campus, but that's not a good use of her time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had trouble finding a collaborative way to share placement information across 3 employees who needed access to the information. In addition, we needed a way to gather and store data for state and federal reporting purposes. Smartsheet was a solution that allowed us to meet those needs at a relatively low cost.
Smartsheets for everyone
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet has premade templates that you can tailor to your project without having to start from scratch. I also really like the feature that allows you to move rows up and down by clicking and dragging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it isn't easy to link multiple projects or templates together as blanks without pulling old information or relinking items each time. I would like it if it was easier to link multiple template sheets together to work as a group.

Smartsheet serves as a centralized location to save data for our team to access and contribute additional information to keep our team on the same page.
