Great for Project Planning and measuring
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we have the ability to setup streamlined Project Plans that force all stakeholders to manage the sheet correctly. I like the easy data collection when the to archive results is necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe this is because we've all used Excel so much...but creating a Smartsheet doesn't seem as user-friendly initially. My current comfort level could result from needing more training on how to use Smartsheet, but I know there are plenty of tutorials to access as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are growing fast in my company, so there are many continuous improvement projects that we are working through while taking care of our customers. Smartsheed allows us to put together solid project plans and involve all stakeholders for further collaboration.
Used smartsheets for project management
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of timeline management and percentage completion of a project is one of the many things about smartsheet that I feel is very beneficial. The ability to add the needed users to the smartsheet project has also been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet has benefitted project management for me; however, the email system seems a bit flawed. When receiving an email to update a sheet, I am not sent to a page that shows which project I need to work on. I am given the details of what I need to add and update but not which project folder the update is needed from. This leads me to go through the process of figuring out which one of my projects has sent me the email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet includes a list of the needed steps to continue completing the projects I am tasked with. This has made completing projects faster very much possible.

Smartsheet makes it very easy to set up timelines, predecessors, baselines, etc, when starting work. It is easy to keep up with if you put in the time at the beginning. The automation for reminders are also very easy to set up/

The gantt charts are hard to read
Reports don't automatically pull in the task or header unless a box is checked
Templates should be able to be edited
The emails could be formatted better
If something is marked "complete" the percent complete column should automatically update.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility in timelines is key. It is nice to separate by department for all work that needs to be done. We also like using the automated reminders that smartsheet has for our team.
A great way to share information and data
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Smartsheet because I can access my account from anywhere; if I'm working from the main office, the field or even from home, I can access any of my sheets or dashboards... it's a great way to show my boss our numbers, how we are doing and what we need to do better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reports don't do what I want them to do, so I use a lot of formulas in my sheets, and it's not always easy to use the formulas. Even though they have helpful tools showing you what you'll need for that formula, I need to Google what I'm trying to do to see if there is a forum that was already created about that topic. Usually, I can figure out what is wrong with the formula, but sometimes I need to give up and start over from a different angle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The high-ups in the company need to know how our field employees are working, and Smartsheet helps me add that information to a sheet and create an easy Dashboard that they can look at to get the information quickly and easily. It's great to see the progress of our employees and projects.
Also, I entered some inventory into Smartsheet. That data lets us see how much of our inventory is coming in and out. We can see if there's something we need to do about it or if it makes sense to be sending that much inventory to a particular site.

Integrated Solution for Content and Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
One of the most useful features of Smartsheet is the ability to create forms and manage responses. As a corporate communicator, it is my job to collect and share stories from around our brand. Smartsheet makes collecting stories, photos, and business information simple to do, but with robust functionality. We love the Gantt chart view for project management, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the biggest pitfall of the software is knowing and mastering all of the functionality. The program can do so much, but I often miss some things because they are not as elevated in the site, or I am ignorant as to how to use them. We've done the corporate training program but it was so detailed that I've forgotten most of what I learned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has allowed us to better track projects and manage workflows, better capture stories and files, and better organize our abundance of information. As a decently-sized franchisor, we have a lot of moving parts to keep track of. Smartsheet keeps us organized by surfacing the information we need, when we need it.
Reviewing SmartSheets - Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
The sharing capability is what I find to be the best feature of Smartsheet. This eliminates the back and forth emails of a document (example: excel) and the possibility of someone having the wrong copy. Smartsheet also shows you who last made an edit to each line which is helpful in case there is information that raises questions and needs to be confirmed with the last person who modified the line.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of using Smartsheet include not being able to have a parent row make the rule for the rows under it. The rows under the parent row will follow the rules of the whole sheet instead of staying under the parent row and staying grouped together - this issue applies to sorting in order the sheet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves the problem of forgetting information and forgetting to make sure all the to-dos are completed before moving on to the next step.
One-stop shop for managing digital marketing operations
What do you like best about the product?
Within my digital marketing team we use Smartsheet for a range of purposes for example documenting our portfolio (products), tracking the lifecycle of new and old properties entering/exiting the system, managing processes with multiple internal and external stakeholders and as a collaboration tool across several regions.
One of the best features is being able to link sheets together, automating the updates of information across sheets as well as creation fof workflows to notify team member when changes are made or actions are required.
I like that Smartsheet has similar functionality and formulas to Excel and is easy to use from day 1. The flexibility of the platform is also a key strength, for example the different views you can have of a project such as grid view or a Gantt chart. Forms are also very easy to create, which allow other departments to provide content to a project without needing to access a sheet directly.
The support from Smartsheet is really good, the resources available for training and troubleshooting are useful and their customer success teams are very willing to help.

What do you dislike about the product?
Very few downsides for me on Smartsheet, the main issue I have is that some formulas such as vlookup don't always work right away and require some experimentation but usually can be resolved fairly quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
1. I can rename the files and not have to update the URLs of old documents referencing the link.
2. The auto-indent so I can group the data accordingly.

1. We can only maintain one tab at a time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily track the files and tasks, including their statuses, and reference the changes that each cell has gone through. It helped a lot having the answers for questions by the Business Team regarding latest status/changes.

Smartsheet Review
What do you like best about the product?
The ease and accessibility to viewing the status of multiple projects on the go. This works great for planning purposes within our team and allows all staff the same visibility of our current and upcoming projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of our team is new to Smartsheet. So trying different approaches not knowing all functionality becomes a bit of a problem. It would be nice if there was a hub/forum where training and webinars were made available to all users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking multiple projects and deadlines. There hasn't been a tool that we have been able to use that is as efficient as Smartsheet. It allows for future planning as well and knowing how much we can commit to upcoming projects (internally and for clients).
