Ran into bugs
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to be able to proof items. I like having tracking and templates for quick creation of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seem to be a bunch of bugs still. Often time I am unable to tag the correct people. Sometimes the person's name doesn't show up as being taggable. There is also no option to untag a person in the review process in case they were incorrectly tagged or no longer needed to be tagged on a proof. I recall a tab that showed proof request but that seems to have been removed also.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to assign all the different tasks that are involved in an advertising campaign. Smartsheet helps keep track of all the different moving parts.
Smartsheets has improved our collaboration, increased efficiency, productivity and organization.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how customizable it is. We use Smartsheets for so many different reasons by different employees. We are able to build financial worksheets, develop detailed project plans, and collaborate with internal and external teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish rows had all the same functions as the columns. I also feel like it is horizontally limited. I wish that you could zoom in and out so that you can see more data from a high level view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Excel doesn't feel as collaborative as Smartsheet and provides us with the ability to share information inside and outside our team is incredibly beneficial! It is more user-friendly than Excel. Easier for team members who don't have experience with Excel to use.
Good product, but not for Project Managers
What do you like best about the product?
It is intuitive, it rolls up well.

What do you dislike about the product?
Too static. Sometimes there are no options.
When creating a dashboard. Can't change colors or pies or bars. widgets and fonts are very limited.
Also too many steps for a simple dashboard, it could be great to get figures directly from the main project plan, instead of having to create reports for each one (or almost) of the widgets to be included in it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i use it to monitor the process of our projects.
Honestly, it has improved, BUT is is not a Project Management tool. Gant charts are horrible to visualize. it is not flexible

Easy to use and great for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Smartsheet is how it is easy to use and share amongst our team to ensure for efficient collaboration and tracking of workflow. I am a big Excel user, but switching to Smartsheet has been helpful and even has a function to export to Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I can think of is the formulas are a little confusing to use at first, and the overall UI seems a bit outdated, so I would like to see improvements in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me track our PR features and have this document live in an area that the entire team and management can access if they need. We also track and update our team KPIs, and I like this because we can add comments on whats going on and expand a bit more on each item.
A handy software that's easy to use and has multiple functions
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is just to create sheets and have other users modify them. The functionality is much less intimidating for users who are unfamiliar with Smartsheet and how it functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue might be licensing, meaning not everyone can create a sheet. But this is more of a business application, so licensing users makes sense. Ultimately, there really isn't anything that I dislike about Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to create organized documentation of various work projects and track productivity easily. The business performance has improved due to using Smartsheet for different tasks. Microsoft Excel is a tool often used and compared to Smartsheet. Many novice users find Excel intimidating but find that Smartsheet can quickly provide them with what they need to manage.
Useful, but a steeper learning curve than Excel
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to link between sheets easily, find them all in one place, have them stored on their own servers, and their expanded functionality is all extremely useful. Specifically, I like that I can favorite just a few that are specific to me, rather than having to search through folders and folders of different things to find them. The most recently viewed feature is also nice when going back and forth and I find that linking sheets to each other operates quite a bit better than anything I could do with Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for Smartsheets is pretty high. All the functionality is great, but generally requires attending the webinars to truly use to its greatest potential. Excel has been around for long enough that there are plenty more users, forums, and general resources to help out when you get stuck. Additionally, most offices will buy enough licenses for MS Office Suite for their entire office staff - not so with Smartsheets, which leaves managers and others to assume the task of creating the sheet, etc for someone without a license. I don't see a point in buying a license for an employee that might only need to make a single sheet, either, but I'm not sure what the fix for this would be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet makes it easier to note who should be on what task, when they should be doing it/how long it should take, and what the next step in our process should be. By linking with other sheets that are filtered by person, they also make it easier for individuals to see a list of their own tasks and priorities.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the form function it allows those who are not good with excel to still add data to the spreadsheet. I also like the automation function. It is ms excel on steroids.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is honestly very little I dislike about Smartsheets. My whole company is really obsessed. May be setting up a dashboard could be more user-friendly i did not find the videos all that helpful while I was learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet's automation function with the forms really helped as we transitioned into a more technology-forward company. The pandemic for example was the first our company went remote and IT was able to create a form to get an inventory count on all equipment via the smartsheet form instead of having to contact everyone directly or cipher through 100s of emails. So it is helping us become more efficient.

The Automation features in smartsheet are great. They can be configured to be semi-automated or fully automated (depending on application).

While integration is great, there are some products I come across that are not integrated with smartsheet natively and need to find alternative means to do so.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a platform to collaborate with others in the company without the need to send spreadsheets. We also use it for review and approval processes that used to be done manually with paper.
Frequent user of Smartsheet and loving it!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Smartsheet makes my life. The conditional formatting is great to reduce the amount of formatting I do but I personally love the Automation ability. It allows me to greatly reduce my workload by automating emails I would have had to filter for them email individually myself.
I have created so many Smartsheets for in my Studio Administrator role but also in my Project Coordinator role. Both clients and consultants alike use it as well which is a great testament to it's power.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we had the ability to edit the format of the Column Titles. It would also be helpful to remove the Title character limit. Something like Tabs in Excel would be a great addition as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me be much more efficient which is helpful when you have too much work and too little time as many people experience. It has also helped me stay organized in situations where I would have been lost otherwise. Smartsheet is always my go-to tool.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to include our customers in the process by giving them access to their Smartsheet. This has cut down on a TON of back and forth email traffic and the need to meet in person often.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's pretty easy to setup the basic functions, but it's a little complicated when you start trying to add some more advanced features and automation. We had a hard time creating a usable dashboard but eventually figured it out.

Our implementation process for our Company's software includes a lot of form review and editing. Before we used Smartsheet we used an excel sheet that we emailed back and forth. This caused a lot of issues when multiple people were trying to work on the same project together.
