Easy way to keep track of projects and create forms as well as store data
What do you like best about the product?
The form functionality with the ability to save all info in one place makes it easy. The collaborate option as well as ability for multiple users to be on the same sheet and enter info at the same time is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations when it comes to available templates to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asissiting with tracking of projects as well as the ability to create forms. By being an online platform, we can share the progress of work with multiple collaborators. Ease of access and fairly straighforward.
Intuitive and easy, but limited.
What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive visual features, like highlighting entire rows when you mouse over the row number. Many minor things like the auto-coloring of text in formulas and the highlighting are appealing but not distracting. Very easy to get up and running and do basic things, as well as create forms and visually appealing dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Conditional formatting is clunky and time-consuming. If you want it to affect multiple columns, you have to remake the formatting formula for every individual column. In general, the design philosophy of Smartsheet seems to be making it SO easy to use that it's actually harder to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that Smartsheet is solving is the ability to share data easily and collaborate on spreadsheets in real-time. Smartsheet has been the fastest and easiest way to share certain metrics or pieces of information.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Smartsheet is Excel, BUT BETTER! I've used Smartsheet as my go-to tool for data organization, program management, project management, data review, and so much more. I use Smartsheet daily and have created many valuable sheets that save me time and energy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to see Smartsheet have an easier way to link sheets and automate data management. It would be so useful to be able to link Smartsheet with external programs to upload and manage data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management and program management - I couldn't efficiently manage and communicate deadlines and actions needed without Smartsheet. I've never had such a powerful tool that saves me time with automation, efficiencies of data input, and so much more.

What do you like best about the product?
The reporting feature continues to be the number one tool I use on a daily basis from sharing dating to the accounting team, to our technical staff. Each department sees only the information they need. Smartsheet Account Managers have also been reaching out a lot more checking in on us making sure we get the most value from the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really wishing Smartsheet had a time tracker. Our technical staff uses Smartsheet to schedule our team daily. We are constantly manually adding times in. Would love if the platform can add a time feature with the following options: military time, EST, BST, PST, etc.

A revolutionary approach to project management
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Smartsheet's intuitive interface is based on the widely used Gantt chart and timelines. This makes it easy for me to stay on top of tasks need to be completed and ensures I don't forget important reminders, making project management a breeze! In addition, the collaboration features make it easy to assign roles and responsibilities to my team members, so everyone knows who's in charge and understands what they're responsible for. It also allows me to add extra details such as contact information in case someone is unable to reach their designated manager; ultimately allowing workflows to continue uninterrupted no matter what life throws at us.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like with Smartsheet is that when you select more information, the side menu doesn't open immediately. It would be more convenient if all the comments were immediately visible without having to scroll down. It would also be helpful if there was an option to download attached images as files, as this would make it easier to take screenshots and paste them elsewhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me and my team track our monthly plans more efficiently. With its custom reporting capabilities, I can create to-do lists tailored for each user, showing only the activities and clients relevant to each user.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Smartsheet is its customisable architecture and easy-to-use project management tools. From customisable reports and dashboards, each sheet can be customised with precision to make data collection relevant. The ability for team members to have discussion buttons on individual rows, proof upload capabilities, attachment space allows us to have excellent communication between all parties involved in a task or job without having unnecessary items cluttering up task lists designed from formatted reports, which maximises our efficiency as a company of any size
What do you dislike about the product?
I find many of Smartsheet's features limiting, such as the lack of form formatting options and no way to customise how data (rows) are displayed above or below a form. It also lacks basic search capabilities that would make it easier to track versions and iterations within sheet content. Further complicating matters are the limited settings on dashboards, which could significantly improve the user experience if more control over customisation options were given.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me better coordinate my team, streamline processes, and plan projects more effectively. The ability to set up automated notifications for events related to assigning tasks or following up on progress reports is very helpful.

The setup makes it easy to upload data and create dashboard views. I also like how easy tagging team members and assigning work is. This makes Smartsheets a more interactive way to work with teams, akin to Sheets from Google

The shortcuts and keys can be different from what I am used to in Excel and Sheets. I also wish the grammar checks were as clear as the ones provided through grammarly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a small team, but we are stretched in several directions to complete tasks. Smartsheets help us see our priorities and organize the tasks accordingly amongst our team. The visibility it provides also helps us understand the capacity of all team members based on their assignments.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helps assign tasks within the team. It is easy to give the job and get them notified. We can set the due dates.

What do you dislike about the product?
It takes time to request access for team members; seats are limited and require the administrator to approve the access for other team members. It would have been great if a team had been created and the request for the access could be for a group instead of typing every team member's email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our organisation, we have several teams, onsite and offsite. Also, the teams are in different countries and time zones. With the help of a smartsheet, it gets easy to keep track of tasks with very little or no communication required.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the creativity within Smartsheets to create a real-time solution platform using Smartsheet Dashboard with widgets to display and share key metrics, reports, graphical displays of data with a variety of charts, shortcuts with hyperlinks and images all in one place.
There are Smartsheet tutorial videos, webinar sessions and even online courses, which you can take to better educate and develop your skills within Smartsheet and even a Smartsheet Community in which people collaborate, share and ask questions or support others with their questions/problems.
The overall reporting and analytics tools of Smartsheet help produce insights, organize projects and track performance; when properly utilized and set up with Automation workflows, it can be a powerful platform. For project management, I would highly recommend it as this is a valuable tool that offers a variety of features to assist your teams in collaborating more effectively and managing projects efficiently.

What do you dislike about the product?
When you first transition from using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, there are some minor things that you must consider and be aware of, as there are some differences between Smartsheet and Excel capabilities. For example, you will notice Smartsheet does include most of the common functions of Excel spreadsheets where the syntax is slightly different. However, it shouldn't be too difficult to adapt if you are already familiar with Excel Spreadsheet formulas and syntax. Another difference is the feature to use Excel’s pivot tables. Unfortunately, in Smartsheet, you will require an additional add-on called Pivot App, which comes at an additional fee and is not included with your original plan. A bit of caution on having a dashboard, when you create a dashboard and load multiple reports or charts within a single dashboard, you might experience some delays as these widgets pull massive data from your source sheet.

Smartsheets has solved some of our workflows and how we streamline project management. It has helped us work more efficiently by reducing errors, improving our team collaboration within one platform and helping us organize data with automation and notification reminders.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy Smartsheet's automation capabilities as well as its useful forms and logic feature. Not only has this saved me time in creating computer network requests, but it also allows members to fill out supporting forms with a single click, rather than sending multiple emails or returning to spreadsheets. In addition, the descriptive statement fields have been incredibly helpful in troubleshooting issues quickly and efficiently - something I really appreciate given our tight deadlines!
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that Smartsheet is limited in certain functionalities and can be quite complicated for some users to learn. In particular, when it comes to creating a chart of different column values with totals; this requires the use of multiple counting formulas in Excel, whereas other programs allow automatic categorisation and summation without such manual input.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet made it easy for me to oversee a complex project in my role at the major bank. The sheet provided an organised platform for communicating with team members and sharing critical information about each task.
