Smartsheet Is a Tool to help with Success
What do you like best about the product?
The calendar view and Gantt view are great for keeping a shipping and project management schedule. The system is hardly ever down, and the support team is active in their responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could select multiple boxes while editing a form. It would allow me to build new forms and make significant edits to preexisting ones. Same with dynamic views.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet runs our company's entire order processing system, WMS, and billing. Our shipping schedule is run off Smartsheet for all our company's operations. We generate packing lists and estimates for clients and vendors. It is a highly versatile tool that can improve any business.
SmartSheets has been an effective collaboration tool to gather team inputs
What do you like best about the product?
The capability to share and collaborate within the workspace sheets, and receive inputs seamlessly through sharing forms. I like the ability to have required and non-required fields within the form, and be able to have email updates from SmartSheet whenever any changes are made.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside has been the learning curve of using the automation tools and everything that SmartSheet has to offer. While there seems to be many benefits, it is difficult to incorporate all of them due to having to be familiar with the functions and not truly understanding the quickest and best ways to do so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that Smartsheet has solved is organizing upcoming tasks and collecting data quickly from the team through the forms. It is beneficial because the worksheet is tracking upcoming deadlines with other pertinent information.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using smartsheet for various reasons. We use it as a project tracker for our website product roadmaps and the various tasks associated with this project. It allows me to align work, people and cross-functional teams across the organization.
I also use smartsheet to track my task lists and the best part is I am able to create sub tasks for a project and group them under a parent task - it also allows me to track the status of projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure if this smartsheet is a tool i can share with agency partners as there might be enterprise grade security controls that might not allow us to share it outside the enterprise making it little challenging to use it as a collabrative tool

It allows me to keep track of all my projects and their status in one place
Helpful in many aspects of my work
What do you like best about the product?
I love the capability to connect different sheets together and reallly create a tracking framework. It is easy to collaborate with colleagues within and outside of my organization. The forms functionality is helpful in being able to gather information from my team in a way that is easily reviewed and summarized.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I am not using Smartsheet every day, I sometimes feel that is a bit complex and I have to "re-learn" how to do something if I haven't done it in a while. I feel that there is often funcitonality that I am not using just because I don't know how.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a shared space to be able to collaborate with both members inside my organization and outside my organization on projects is really helpful so that everyone can stay on the same page.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Smartsheet is the ability to accomplish the task in many ways. It allows for a customizable experience that can be built to best suit your work style.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because the product is so open-ended, determining where you should begin can sometimes be daunting. This is not an issue for an individual looking to use this tool on a small scale. For a company-wide roll out, it is critical to task a small group to develop company templates before beginning use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows for a consolidated organizational overview and decision-making processes that streamline what used to require many emails, phone calls, and conversations. Workflows allow for management decisions and documentation of such. The project management tools allow me to keep my complex to-do list in one place with deadlines.
Overall User Friendly & Quite Capable
What do you like best about the product?
I like that SmartSheet is instant; I like that I can see changes automatically. SmartSheets is pretty straightforward, easy to navigate, and easy to keep organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that SmartSheets' biggest downfall is that it's not easy to get information into. For example, without paying an arm and a leg more, we aren't able to really copy and paste from excel into SmartSheets without having to go through quite the to-do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SmartSheets allows for me (The CSR) to enter in addresses for our Outside Plant Crew to add to their schedule to, and then when they are working on addresses, I can instantly see what comments they have and see when an address has been completed and is able to be passed along in our process.
Smartsheets has changed the way we work
What do you like best about the product?
The automation and forms aspect of Smartsheet is just a couple of the things that have helped us revamp the way we work. It has eliminated so much duplicate work and has helped us in a huge way where data consistency is concerned.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much if anything, I can say negatively about Smartsheet. There is sometimes no option to create the automation I am looking for, but that is a very infrequent occurrence. For me, Smartsheet serves its purpose very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows the automation to collect follow-up data that in the past was manually followed up on and collected. It is also allowing us to analyze data much more efficiently because of the forms and consistency of data being entered with dropdown options. It also allows a centralized location to be viewed by leadership to see actions being taken and data being collected. It has been a game changer for many of our processes, and as I learn more about it, I'm sure we will utilize it even more.
Helpful with a viraety of tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use and simple to navigate. Additionally, there is a very good online support community, so any issue that comes up can usually be addressed via searching Smartsheet forums or Smartsheet web site.
What do you dislike about the product?
One side of Smartsheet that can be improved is making it more accessible to no-profit organizations. Currently, it is very project/business oriented. However, organizations like universities, research centers, or community-based organizations could benefit if resources were developed that are not as rigid, in order to adjust to work and tasks that may not fit in a usual "box".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits of Smartsheet include being able to store information about events and participants in one place, creating efficient registration forms, creating easy-to-navigate application forms, easy invoicing, and easy analysis.
Pretty Smart
What do you like best about the product?
Some of the best things I have used in Smartsheet lend to the fact that everything is cloud-based and can be accessed from anywhere. There is some great automation capabilities built into SS, and i can typically do everything i need to do in there.
What do you dislike about the product?
I mean it's a spreadsheet. There are lots of addins and additional capabilities through forms and views, but i feel it is definitely tailored to lovers of everything spreadsheets (which i definitely am), and you can definitely have too many spreadsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is more a team-wide solution that we are required to use. I have found other programs that assist me better than Smartsheet (ahem) Clicking Up above will fill you in there. But Smartsheet definitely helps us as a team to make sure that we have projects covered and assists us as we develop future schedules.
Versatile Solution For Sharing Diverse Projects
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to customize the sheets I use and the data I track. I enjoy the ability to create an intake form and create custom read outs from my data and share dashboards that show project progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Building out reports can be a bit cumbersome at times and having more templates to follow would be helpful. I think having some canned dashboard and intake templates would make Smartsheet easier to approach for people who don't typically use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SmartSheet solves my organizations issues with sharing data and giving read outs on different projects and efforts. The product has allowed us to create actionable project plans where each participant can see what is expected from them and how much progress has been made.
