Excellent alternative to Microsoft Project
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has all of the functionality of Microsoft Project that I need to use for my role in planning engineering projects. Gantt charts look professional and are easy to set up and manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet does lack some of the functionality of Microsoft Project and, although these features aren't ones I particularly use, it does require some re-learning to how I used to use Project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is used for planning both major engineering projects and minor improvement projects. It is also used to effectively communicate project programmes to senior management and to bring contractors in line with timeline expectations. Smartsheet benefits me by allowing me to quickly pull together Gantt charts to present to key figures within the business.

What do you like best about the product?
What I love the most is that is so simple to use and crear sheets with its, not complicated to move around or arrange things it makes it so easy to do your work without having to click a lot of buttons. I also love that it has helped me to become more organized, with the easy templates and the way you can share the sheets easily makes my life better at work
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it doesn't have too many templates, there more things to do around smartsheet and adding meow templates will be perfect, also the formulas will make life easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration, knowing who is doing what. I created a smartsheet where I lay all the work for the month and we put the deadline and also who is working on what, it help us stay organized
Helpful for Consolidating Information
What do you like best about the product?
Having one cohesive document that everyone on our team can access is incredibly helpful. Having the ability to make adjustments and receive real-time updates from our team is nothing short of perfection.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only edit I would make that would elevate the use of Smartsheet for our team would be filtering and sorting cells by color. This is useful for knowing which accounts or entries are being handled by each team member.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our team, Smartsheet has solved miscommunication issues as well as coordination. Our team as a whole has become more productive by saving the time to reach out to other team members for information we now share on Smartsheet.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that smartshet has several different features in one place. And you can also connect with other applications. Smartsheet is very customizable and adaptable for different sectors and departments. It is possible to make long working flows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately the smartsheet has limitations on the graphics. For example, it is not possible to create overlapping graphics. In addition, another limitation is the fact that the Smartsheet form cannot show a pre -filled information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping my task, projects and portfolios management. So I can optimize work time in my daily life and I'm more productive. This way, I can get an overview of what my team and I need to do.
Great for project management and event tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Great to use for complex registrations for conferences and events - love that you can have folks upload a headshot as well as longer text responses. Also great for task tracking and monitoring team progress on a to-do list.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally a formula will trip me up or I won't be able to get a workflow to work exactly as I'd like it to. There are tons of resources online but it's time consuming to wade through them all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has solved some of our complex registration problems and some of our tracking problems. It's also been a great tool for collaborating across teams and has helped our multi-department team pull of large conferences and events by keeping tasks organized.
Positive Experience, Easy to get Started
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helps to organize information similar to Excel or other spreadsheet data tracking software. The ease of sharing information across team members and to different devices is one of the best perks. Keeping task lists, action items, and general project logs in 1 place across many users saves time and streamlines efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the simplicity of Smartsheet can be its downfall. However, there are many great tutorials on how to customize or increase your knowledge to use more of the tools offered with the program. I sometimes find it frustrating that simple tasks are not intuitive along with icons that may not be familiar in certain menus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly, Smartsheet aids in streamling task management and overall project management workflows. It is used to collaborate between team members and project consultants to review upcoming milestones, action items, due dates, and general tracking.

The data we enter updates in real-time as well as provides a dashboard that can easily display metrics based on the input. It is super valuable for our business

I wish Smartsheet was slightly more interactive with other Software programs such as excel. I understand there are probably things out of Smartsheet's control. However, it would be nice to have an easier way to copy templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it in real estate to manage large capital projects and unit renovations. Because the data can be updated in real time, it allows us to check status of projects and track ROI. The dashboards are super helpful to give us a high level understanding of where we are at with certain projects.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has allowed us to create an ecosystem to track and visualize project status. The ability to have a single page feed multiple dashboards, as well as having dashboards informed by different sheets, has been a game-changer.
We've also improved the utilization of trackers, increased the consistency of meeting deadlines, and provided up-to-date information by leveraging the automation features available. The wide assortment of templates mean we don't have to build anything from scratch, which has saved us countless human hours.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, we've been pleased with Smartsheet. I wish we could utilize more advanced formulas like I can in Excel. However, the convenience of team members not having to be as savvy to utilize formulas or scripts to automate largely outweighs this problem.

Smartsheet helps us solve support requests through the entire project life-cycle. We're able to roll up to various dashboards, minimizing email back and forth when teams need updates. It's solved the issue of tracking people down when we need updates; they are automatically reminded when they haven't inputted the necessary information. This alone has saved us a substantial amount of time.

My top three things are:

What do you dislike about the product?
I can not think of anything I dislike about Smartsheets; it has been a fantastic tool. I would say I only wish it was around 10 years ago. I think it would be great if more people new about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smart Sheets like a GANT Chart and input all my objectives and the tasks that must be completed for me to succeed. It helps keep me on track and allows me to complete tasks in good time with notifications set.
